One country, three ways of telling time

“Washington’s is a stop watch, where every second longer we stay in Iraq is a problem; the Iraqi Shiite-led government’s watch often seems broken, and you have to regularly tap it to get it to work; and the Iraqi Sunni watch always wants to go in reverse — back to Saddam’s day, when Sunnis were in charge.”
– New York Times columnist Tom Friedman, on the analogy U.S. Army officers use in talking about Iraq

And we should listen to Tom Friedman who has been WRONG about Iraq from day one exactly why?

Maybe someday, The Eagle will cite Paul Krugman, who has been CORRECT about Iraq since the beginning.

These are the editors who took a principled stance by caving in to the reich-wing and discontinuing Molly Ivins. She’s a better writer DEAD than Kathleen Parker is alive.

The only watch that matters in Iraq is the watch that stops when Bush and Cheney get total control of the oil. That is the reason we are in Iraq and until that issue is resolved, the US will stay in Iraq unless a Democrat president takes over the White House.

A stopped watch is right two times a day; has bush ever been right when it comes to Iraq?

Bush has sneaked back into Iraq, for a whopping six hour visit, that was so top secret he didn’t even let Malaki know he was coming (is there a trust issue here?).Anbar must certainly be safer, as if it wasn’t there is no way bush would have went there, top secret or not!
