Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., received more attention than normal during Sunday morning’s Republican presidential debate. Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney contrasted Obama’s comments that he would be willing to meet with all foreign leaders with his saying that he would order a strike against Osama bin Laden even if Pakistan opposed it.
"I mean, in one week he went from saying he’s going to sit down, you know, for tea, with our enemies, but then he’s going to bomb our allies," Romney said. "He’s gone from Jane Fonda to Dr. Strangelove in one week."
But a spokesman for Obama had a comeback that likely resonated with many Americans: "The fact that the same Republican candidates who want to keep 160,000 American troops in the middle of a civil war couldn’t agree that we should take out Osama bin Laden if we had him in our sights, proves why Americans want to turn the page on the last seven years of Bush-Cheney foreign policy."

Most American’s? Where is that published? You didn’t say on the Iraq War. You said seven years of Bush-Cheney foreign policy.
Obama is like Nixon, he talks out of both sides of his mouth. Tricky Dicky all over again.
This guy has done more harm for US relations in a week as a candidate – than Bush did in 7 years.
Talk about your loose cannon. Ya gotta admit it.
The actions Obama mentioned nee t ba taken but they also need to be covert. We had a tremendous opportunity to clean out those areas immediately after the fall of the Taliban but “the decider” had “more important” things to do. Like carrying out his personal vendetta.
Holy crap!!! a negative thread about a demo. Whoda thunk it?
Ben,
Are you using the typical, “But Bush did it first too” response?
And are you agreeing with Obama’s public remarks? In full?
No to both hotdog. Read my comments again.
Al Gore “invented the internet.”
Kerry was swift-boated and a flip-flopper.
Dean screamed.
******
That’s how you know they’re good, when the Repukes slime them . . .
Damn Republican terrorist appeasers!
Obama is right about starting talks with our enemies. I think the Iraq war has proven that just because we have the bigger guns does not make us the winner of the war. We are fighting insurgents with homemade boms and they are killing our soldiers. They are a bunch of street rats and we cannot seem to get a handle on how to fight them.
Pakistan may be playing both sides of the fence and we need to find that out. If there is credible evidence that Bin Laden is hiding in Pakistan and that the officials know it, then why should we trust Pakistan from that point on?
of course the 9/11 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia but George W. Bush still kisses the Saudis butts for their oil. Talk about loyalty.
to paraphrase Bush, some people don’t want to go after Al Qaeda where they live. Obama disagrees.
Obama is showing lack of leadership abilities for an Executive position. He might make a good legislature, but he cannot figure out how to stand solidly on an issue and sticke with it.
Obama’s lack of executive leadership slip is showing more and more each day and he will be losing votes because of it.
Take another black man that was in a leadership position, Colin Powell. You knew when he made a statement, he stood behind it. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind what he meant and how he meant to say it.
Obama lacks that ability and all the charisma in the world won’t make up for it.
“Colin Powell. You knew when he made a statement, he stood behind it.”
Even when the statements were lies.
Pakastan is a nuclear power.
Do we want war with Pakastan?
Also, I disagee with the “get Osama” vendetta if it is not in the best interest of the United States.
All of our foreign policy should be based on self-interest.
National Defense and National Security mean: Keeping America safe from attack and making it difficult for our enemies to attack us.
It also, at times, means that we must show our enemies that no attack will go unpunished.
We have done that, I believe!
Witness the fact that no attack, on American soil, has occured since 9-11.
However, those who insist that Iraq was NOT worth a war, (FUNNY HOW NEARLY ALL THE DEMOCRATS WHO SAY THAT DID NOT SAY IT BEFORE WE WENT AFTER SADDAM!) — Well, those who complain that Iraq is an unneccessary war seem hell bent on getting us into a war with a current allie?
Not smart!
Throw Pakistan into the hands of the Moslem Radicals?
Even Hillary has had some harsh words for Obama!
Israel has Obama on the bottom of their list {if mentioned at all } to be the US President and their is arrogance that goes in stride with that.
The Zionist-Jews consider the United States as just another “territory” like the West Bank or Gaza.
After all they own the White House and have twisted our election of congress to suit all of their billions in money needs.
I thought Pelosi would stand up to them but she has caved in instead of cutting-off the funding.
And our soldier’s blood keeps buying Israel the Arab oil fields.
If there is credible evidence that Bin Laden is hiding in Pakistan and that the officials know it, then why should we trust Pakistan from that point on?
Kate
Is there any doubt about Paki? They admittedly supported the Taliban before the war. Their dictator president remains in power only by brute force, and does not represent democracy. He is threatened by muslim extremists killing him, and taking over. He made concessions to give autonomy to NW Paki, which is the fertile training ground for AQ.
In my opinion, it isn’t that he is an enemy – the guy has been playing both sides to survive. He really is darned if he does – or darned if he doesn’t support us. Or them. He is on shaky ground.
He could be overthrown, and his government any day by extremists.
We went to bed with this disreputable general in order to get logistical support thru Paki to Afghanistan at the beginning of the war. We have given him billions of dollars. And I think he is a rat.
But what good does threatening this fellow do? America being a bully self-righteous country again?
How would we feel if some other country tried to tell us what we should do in our own country?
Regardless, I don’t think public statements like Obama made HELP the situation one bit.
Those who think that KILLING Osama should be our primary focus are HYPOCRITS!
That IS national policy based on vengence.
Yes, if it can be done, without an international crisis developing due to our actions, then we should do it!
I doubt we will have such an opportunity.
We had broken the back of alQuada right after the fall of Afghanistan. We had an opportunity to smash them once and for all. Instead, the decision was made to allow them to regroup and find another base of operations. Now, according to Intelligence reports they are again in a position to strike the US.
In the meantime the US attacked and destroyed one of alQuada’s worst enemies in the Middle east. In doing so we have given alQuada yet another base on operation in an area where they did not exist before. In doing that we have also strengthened Iran in he region.
As reprehensible as Saddam was – and he definitely was reprehensible both as our ally and as our enemy – at least he was an enemy to both alQuada and Iran and was contained.
at least he was an enemy to both alQuada and Iran and was contained.

Water under the bridge Ben. Now what should our new democratic leadership do? Our new president?
Ed
Israel contains NOT A DROP OF OIL!
I am amazed that the Jew-hating racists, such as you, continue to bring up “Zionism” and “Oil” in your riduculous rants.
“Palestine” was NEVER a country.
The other Arab countries treat Palestinians like dogs.
Egypt kicked out the Palestinians.
Jordan kicked out the Palestinians.
Yet you blame the plight of the Palestinians on Israel?
There are Arabs, including Palestinians, working for the government of Israel.
How many Jews are on the payroll in even ONE Islamic or Arab state?
The primary cause of death, in Gaza, is not the Army of Israel.
The #1 cause of death, in Gaza, is “Honor Killing” or the brutal, savage murder of arab women by the men in their family, for “dishonoring” the family.
Palestinians are led by barbarians.
The smart Palestinians do not want Islamic or Palestinian rule!
Why keep giving billions to Pakistan? If they are playing both sides of the fence, then why do play along? And who helped them to go nuclear? Wasn’t it our billions that helped to make that happen? We have backed the wrong horse in the race and now we expected to kiss their ass?
For those Bush supporters who are so hellbent on invading any country to get the oil we want, why are you not willing to go into Pakistan and get the mastermind of 9/11?
Kate are you a warmonger?
Wow!
Kate would not be speaking so freely of invading a geographically tough location, with worn out troops, inappropriate gear, and too spread out (all demo lines),if her own child was in the military.
And they would die because Kate
“THINKS” that Bin Laden is there.
Sorta like Bush “THINKS” there were WMD’s in Iraq.
Oh hum.
PS: Bin Laden probably is lying on the beach in Honolulu laughing his hind end off.
Musharraf may technically be a dictator, he has also brought economic progress to Pakistan, free media and civil society regeneration. Please give him these credits before denouncing him.
Regarding Obama’s threats to bomb Pakistan, it is an insult to a country that has lost hundreds of troops fighting terrorists. In addition, any such American attack will bolster terrorists and discredit the pakistani govt. Barack Obama does not understand such consequences.
I am not a war mongerer and yes I do have friends and family in the military. I just do not understand why we kiss the Pakistanians butts but if we know the officials are are harboring Bin Laden, they why continue supporting the same officials with our billions.
That is only a fair question. And as to fact our military is worn down – that is Bush’s fault – not mine. If Bush supporters are so gung ho on invading Iraq (which had nothing to do with 9/11) but yet will let Pakistan knowingly harbor Bin Laden, then where is your war on terror?
Ed Friederman; Adam Gadahn is making a new video and wants your help!
The Democrats NEED to believe Bin Laden is still alive. It allows top Dem’s to talk tough on terror, yet still condemn Bush’s efforts on the war on terror.
The Democratic leadership and now Barak Hussien Obama don’t have a problem reminding the American people that they understand terrorists threats to our citizens both here and abroad exist! And they really do have a plan. Because they acknowledge terrorist training and support coming from Afganistan, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia. For the Dem’s the war on terror is anywhere in the Middle East except Iraq!
Islamic extremists hate the West, Americans, and always have. They became better organized & funded in the late 80’s into the 90’s, escalating their jihad (holy war) against the West. With each attack becoming bolder against U.S. Embassies. To the hit on American soil, with the 1st World Trade Center attack, and the new dawn of terror attacks of 9-11.
Kate, what type of automobiles do you drive? How much oil are you willing to give up in order for our nation to become less oil dependent on Saudi Arabia, or any Middle Eastern country? Would you support oil exploration off of Alaska for our own countries oil?
The Wichita Bus service doesn’t travel to Colwich, Derby, Clearwater, or any small Sedgwick Co. towns. Of which many people live, but work in Wichita.
Hotdog,
Are you using the typical, “But Bush did it already so we can’t fix it” response?
Ok, you’re the leader of Pakistan. On one side is nuclear-armed India, your long-time enemy, on the other is Afganistan, whose people kill each other for any old reason, to the northish is China. And everywhere is the threat of radical mullahs who preach death and hatred.
Now, wouldn’t you try to play all ends against each other? Remember the first rule of geopolitics: Countries don’t have friends or enemies, they have interests.
Not saying he is doing it right, but he is doing what he considers best for his country.
Correct Dennis. And, if the US were to launch a covert operation from Afghanistan across the border into the ungovernable area he might just choose to ‘not notice’. Especially if done immediately after the fall of the aliban while they were still in a state of disarray.
I have this funny feeling that if any of the Republican presidential candidates announced we would go after Bin Laden in those tribal areas, Republicans would be praising their courage. Just like they praised Bush’s courage when he sent our army into Iraq, even though everyone “believed” Saddam had WMD at the time.
Agreed Dennis, you said it better than I did.
Ben, I make no excused for Bush. He is an embarrassment. But many times a negative comes up about a democrat, and the response is not corrective action, confirmation that everyone is going to make mistakes. Instead it’s the finger pointing back at Bush. I surrender already on the Bush Presidency. I think many conservatives do. But since I gotta live under liberal rule, at least I’d like THEM to do it right. Red states are still part of the union, right.;-)
Because this “well if it wasn’t for Bushy” stuff gets rather old.
All Musharaff needs to do is grant total autonomy to NW Pakistan. Then, they can face the same choice the Taliban had, kick out the Taliban and Al Quida, or dig bomb shelters.
I suspect the military would be rejuvenated, and have many volunteers if we actually went after the 9/11 perps. instead of an inane insane adventure in Iraq.
hotdog, remember Somalia? A negative came up on Clinton. He didn’t blame his predecessor, he took responsibility and corrective action, and he fired is Sec. of Defense. That’s what I’d like to see today. Also FWIW Pakistan saved our butts there.
Instead, Bush’s supporters jump all over Clinton every time Bush does something stupid. And then Bush insists on staying the course.
Kate, what type of automobiles do you drive? How much oil are you willing to give up in order for our nation to become less oil dependent on Saudi Arabia, or any Middle Eastern country? Would you support oil exploration off of Alaska for our own countries oil?

I drive a 12 year old compact car which still gets 35 miles to the gallon. I do support getting the US off the Middle East oil teat. That includes George W. Bush stop kissing the Saudis butts.
If we had listened to Jimmy Carter in the late 70’s perhaps we would not be in this situation today. Carter advocated finding alternative energy sources and the Americans were highly insulted. Then Reagan got into the White House by negotiating with the very same Middle East terrorists we are fighting today!
I do support getting the US into the business of drilling for our own oil. I’m tired of sending our money to foreign countries that the only power they have is the over-the-oil-barrel. The US needs strong leadership on this issue and having two oil men in the White House has not served us well in the last 6 years.
But the issue here is Pakistan knowingly harboring Bin Laden. If that is true, then we need to stop giving our billions to the Pakistan officials. Why is that so hard to understand?
hotdog1 – I know alot of Conservatives that still thinks Bush walks on water. This whole war on terror is something that Bush emphasized. If he truly means what he says, then he would secure our borders, make sure our allies are really our allies and start getting the US off the foreign oil.
Until that is done, nothing will change – either by a Democrat or a Republican.
“know alot of Conservatives that still thinks Bush walks on water.”
I am a conservative and a Republican, and I know very few that thinks Bush is anything of the sort. Most think he is an incompetent boob.
“nothing will change – either by a Democrat or a Republican.”
Ya got that right
at least we do agree on one thing, little john, Nothing will change.
But I know of several conservatives, usually they are the Christian Conservatives still think Bush is really God’s choice for president.
I think phantom may have a valid point about rejuvenation of our military if we were to actually go after the real terrorists behind 9/11. It’s sad that all the goodwill the US was receiving when 9/11 happened has been squandered by George W. Bush and gang.
I’m sure a lot of Republicans today think Bush is an incompetent boob, but if you tried to suggest that in 2002 those same Republicans would jump all down your throat for not seeing his subtle genius.
absolutely kate. After 2001 recruitment was way up and a lot of people joined the military for their chance to shoot at Bin Laden. That evaporated completely when the Iraq invasion started gearing up.
I think if a new President came in and made it clear that 1) The army would go after the 9/11 terrorists, and 2) we’re not going to make you sitting ducks for IEDs, you’ll see recruitment and morale climb back up again.
Kate,
I think you’re confusing radical “conservatives” who want to remake society into a Christian theocracy with traditional conservatives, who are more interested in minding our own business than meddling in the lives of others.
Was it the radical or traditional conservatives who thought invading Iraq would be a really great idea?
As I recall, if you opposed invading Iraq in 2002, you were called naive, a crazy lefty appeaser.
I opposed invading Iraq in 2002, and in 1991. Iraq was a regional threat, not a global one, and its neighbors have enough resources to take care of their own damn problems.
Like Tom, I opposed the invasion at the time. And, contrary to Limbaugh, Democrats dod NOT vote for invasion. They foolishly voted to give Bush discretionary power so he could pressure Saddam to allow inspectors back in. Saddam DID allow inspectors back in but Bush had a score to settle on behalf of Daddy.
What to do now with the mess Bush deliberately made? Hard to say. What IS clear that we cannot and must not rely on those who created the mess to solve it.
An analogy: suppose I have a serious medical problem that will take a whole lot of difficult work to deal with. Suppose further that it was all caused by malpractice. Would I choose to continue with the malpracticing quack? Not me!
What we are facing today in the Middle east is a result of malpractice. ‘Staying the failed course’ is NOT the way to go.
I agree Ben – but what I am worried about is that Bush is already poking the stick in Iran’s eye to start a fight with them. That’s the last thing we need is another senseless war with no end in sight.
So true kate. He might hope that would give him another excuse to wear that fancy flight suit.
So what im getting from this is that the pro war right winger are mad that Obama wants to kill bin laden?
OK a little reality here, the statement that Romney made reminded me more of Bush that Obama.
Plain and simple, now as to Bin Laden he was the mastermind of the great terrorist attack on U.S. soil.VENGEANCE? HELL YEAH! Shall I run the list about the enemy of my enemy, repeat Bush’s speech after 9-11? Remind the folks that Pakistan cooperation came only after they were warn to not help us would mean they would be bombed back into the stone age? No, if you have forgotten 9-11 in favor of a party line then reality is not a basis for your thought process!
To not get the major players of Al-Qaeda given the chance it the height of TERRORIST APPEASEMENT!On that I do call upon the United States to act as the last super power, you don’t kill my children and attack my country and deserve the next morning sun! Again PLAIN AND SIMPLE! This country is wary of the wrong war not war! We should not forget that in this any who stands with the terrorists giving them safe harbor and a home are the enemy! Right now a good chuck of the world is in favor of the terrorists, they may not give support to them but they in whispers say “OH yeah!”. The world held its breath after 9-11, the United States had been attacked and the fear was that the earth would shake with our fury! Now it thinks we are too weak and foolish to go after the real enemy and choose to attack a country that had nothing to do with it!
To get the real enemy, RELEASE THE DOGS OF WAR! If you would like to discuss traitorous acts, what is more traitorous then to forget those that attack this country and use that attack as a justification to fulfill a small group of delusional fools thinking that by the U.S. using its might to reform the Middle east to an image that they want! By now even the most simple of minds should have come to realize that, if not step aside and let those of us who are not living in a dream world lead! Go back to your O’Reily and the like or Air America dribble and stop trying to use the suffering of your brothers and sister to play some stupid and childish game. This is not about Republican or Democrats, Liberal or Conservative, to continue to think like that mean that this country will fall and perhaps if we are to be that stupid then rightly so!
Wipe the face of the earth of these enemies and be done with it! Iran did not attack us, Iraq did not attack us, Syria did not attack us, and Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda did attacked us! To the others stand in the way and suffer their fate. Either get the hell out of the way!
Tom; If bin Laden IS still alive, and located before the Democratic nominating convention. Obama wanting to kill bin Laden is a safe position to take, even with the liberal democratic base. What moves beyond rhetoric is a policy statemnent from Obama on how his administration will keep our country safe from terrorist attacks.
Obama was right about Musharriff and Pakistan. If we have intelligence on the location of Ben Laden and his folks, we need to move and if that upsets Musharriff, so be it. I don’t give a sheet what he thinks. I thought I heard somebody say “any country that harbours these people will be looked at as a terrorist nation state”. Who said that? Same guy that said “we are doing a good job controlling the border” and “mission accomplished” and “WMD”. The only difference is that Obama says what he means and he means what he says.

Did you know that many Democrats died on 9-11-01? While the people in the towers were probably mostly rich Republicans, it was the Democrat cops and firefighters that gave their lives trying to save the Republicans in the WTC. Don’t forget that.

More vile than “I’m going to use public records and GPS to find your house, then start driving by in my black Escalade”?
More vile than “Let’s rifle Tom’s office while he’s out of town, and by the way, here’s his full name and general location of his office” ?
More vile than “I’m gonna punch you in the face” ?
If you weren’t such a joke, this would have to BE a joke.
Wow Tom, you are a piece of work.
Just keep rephrasing and repeating stuff I write just like the psychotic cosmos.
Go ahead Tom, feed on your hate, it’s all you have.
Bin Ladin wouldn’t be a factor this day if someone hadn’t passed on/bragged to the media the fact they were tracking/listening to him (oh my, should they have had a judge give them permission to listen to him under FISA?) while he talked on his satellite phone.
It was smart of the military/cia to monitor his traffic and location before taking him out to find out who he was talking to, what he had planned, and anything else before they decided to drop a bomb on his head.
Of course the media, not wanting to keep any kind of secret, plastered it across the headlines on every national paper in the US. That caused him to go to toss his satellite phone and move into the caves. Is he still alive? Who knows for sure since no one (reliable) talking has seen him. It would have been nice to have had time to monitor, take out all of his assets and him, if the media had allowed that to happen.
Since he doesn’t have the media hounding him and his people, its much easier to keep secrets than it is in the US Government. Besides, he does kill people who he thinks snitch so I imagine this is an even better reason to keep secrets within his group.
Another recent example of the media would be where they posted (it turned out to be false) a story that the Koreans had launched an attack to recover their remaining citizens (2 have been executed) who had been kidnapped by terrorists on July 19 by Taliban terrorists. Could this not have caused the unnecessary death of the hostages, soldiers, and even innocent civilians by doing this?

And YOUR fantasy world of insisting that the New Orleans levees failed because of non-existent lawsuits seems to be major-league “psychotic”.
Really cosmos?
What is it with you and levees in New Orleans? Have you ever been to New Orleans? Do you even care about the people in New Orleans?
Or are you strictly a wetlands guy and the heck with anyone or anything else?
To keep repeating your levee mantra is showing your mental illness and stalking. You do it every day several times a day. You’re a very sick person. Seek help.
Arguing on a blog is not stalking. Finding someone’s house on a GPS, and showing up uninvited – THAT is stalking.
Tom it was a parody, you know black car out in the boonies – Get over it. I don’t own a GPS or a black car.
Give it a rest Tom. You are making yourself look really vindictive. Is that what you want to portray as a Lobbyist?
Or would you rather be known as a professional?
I’m sure you would want to be known as the latter, so try and act like one Tom.

Oh, so you’re just a liar.
Okay.
Looks like the new “Obama Girl”, is also Giluanni’s Girl! That’s gotta hurt.Giuliani child draws attention as Obama supporter 2 hours, 34 minutes ago
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani’s teen-age daughter found herself under the harsh media spotlight of national politics on Monday after word circulated that she might support Democrat Barack Obama.
ADVERTISEMENTThe online magazine Slate.com reported that Caroline Giuliani, 17, listed herself as a “liberal” in her profile on the social networking Web site, Facebook.com, and declared herself a member of the Facebook group called: “Barack Obama (One Million Strong for Barack).”
Obama, an Illinois senator, is one of the leading Democratic candidates for the White House.
A spokeswoman for Caroline Giuliani said the teen-ager’s Facebook listing was intended as an expression of interest in “certain principles” but not an indication of support in a presidential campaign.
But when word spread that the daughter of the former New York mayor and leading Republican presidential candidate could be backing a Democrat, the story began to attract other media outlets including the New York Times, CBS and CNN.
Slate.com said the teen-ager’s profile page on the social networking Web site had been available only to Facebook members who attend her Manhattan high school or Harvard University, where she plans to study this fall.
The teen-ager quickly quit the Obama fan club and took down her profile page on Facebook.
Giuliani, who was campaigning in Iowa, declined to comment as did the Obama campaign.
KFG knew I was kidding Tom, I guess you don’t get it do you.
I draw cartoons from time to time and get visual pictures of things and I just wrote them out in sentence form. It’s nothing more than a Wylie Coyote (me) against the RoadRunner (KGF.) It was just a silly exchange of pretend scenario.
My apologies to you Tom and KFG, I never realized you were so uptight.
Troll:
You weren’t “kidding.” You were trying to harass and intimidate people who call your bullshit for what it is.
Apparently the WEBlog editors didn’t think you were kidding, either, because they deleted the original 2:35pm post from that thread.
Just like they deleted the post where you threatened to burglarize my office.
Just like they deleted the post where you threatened to punch Cosmos in the face.
Threats are not jokes, troll, and you know it.
Bush does not understand terrorism, and is the wrong person in the wrong position.
“Of course the media, not wanting to keep any kind of secret, plastered it across the headlines on every national paper in the US. That caused him to go to toss his satellite phone and move into the caves.”

Whatever Tom.
You are just way too uptight imo.
Tom,
The many-named troll seems to believe that his threats are only a “joke”.
He seems to believe that he owns and controls this blog — and has NO respect for the editors who correctly deleted his posts.
And also, that anyone who points out his repeated LIES on this blog is a “very sick person”, who needs “help”.
I’m telling you trolls, both liberal and conservative, the EDs are watching. They know when you’ve been naughty or nice.
We, collectively, can continue to let this blog be a cess pool, or we can do something different.
The choice is yours.
If it gets worse than it is now, I am not sure we will have the privilege to blog here.
Thank you. The non-management.
This has gone right past ridiculous to the truly idiotic. Hopefully, the editors will see fit to make some modifications to the blog and, at the very least, ban some of the nic switching, nic stealing, threatening posters.
What is the point of a public blog if certain fools can single handedly disrupt the forum?
Christ, what a waste.
.
When my daughter was 13, she tried out that “whatever” line. It didn’t get her very far, and by her Freshman year in high school, we never heard it from her again.
I didn’t think adults used “whatever” as an argument.
Anyway…
Cosmos, WS & Steven,
Yep, the troll is trashing the blog. It’s unfortunate.
Fine Tom,
I publicly apologized to you and KFG and you throw it back in my face.
So be it.
cosmos, if you would stop calling me a liar several times a day, it would be nice.
Why do you persist on that bad conduct?
My apologies to you Tom and KFG, I never realized you were so uptight.Posted by: Kansas | August 06, 2007 at 10:55 PM
That’s an apology?
You really are 13, aren’t you?
From an email earlier today:
“Thanks. We’ve deleted all the posts by “troll.” They appear to have been
made by one of our regular liberal posters. pb”
You’re right Steven Davis, they are watching.
Okay, how about this Tom.
I apologize for what I wrote and won’t do it again.
Only time will tell if that “apology” is sincere.
Given your track record, I’m not holding my breath.
Mitt Romney has it right. After watching Big Love I want 3 wives too.
“Thanks. We’ve deleted all the posts by “troll.” They appear to have been

==================
That isnt the way Brownlee writes in any email I have gotten from him… He always signs off with “Phil” when he writes tome… Hmmmmm
Tom: Note the content of Kansas’ allegeld email quote??? I know it was late when you got that one… LOL
“Did you know that many Democrats died on 9-11-01? While the people in the towers were probably mostly rich Republicans, it was the Democrat cops and firefighters that gave their lives trying to save the Republicans in the WTC. Don’t forget that.
Posted by: Kev | August 06, 2007 at 07:24 PM
That, without a doubt has to be the most vile, ignorant statement ever made on this Blog.”
Do you care to expand on why you think it is vile? It is a fact. And we are tired of you Republicans trying to fool the voters into thinking that only you care about the country being attacked and that we are “soft” on defense. Any Democrat would be glad to kill Ben Laden. Well most of us anyway.
Republicans = richDemocrats = poor working class.
Using that logic Kev…
Hitlery = republicanEdwards = WAY republicanGore = republican
And the list goes on and on.
Kev,
I’m deeply saddened that you don’t understand what you wrote is very bad.
This is the same style tactic that Fred Phelps uses in dishonoring the military dead.
That is, using the dead to promote an agenda. It is a vile and disgusting tactic.
I shouldn’t have to explain this to anyone as it is common sense and common respect to hold certain things sacred.
I don’t know the political party nor do I even know anyone that died in the WTC.
But I’m sure not going to desecrate their memories by assigning my own selfish agendas to them.
But if you want to use Fred Phelps tactics going ahead, just know that I will place you in that same category of the despised.
Tom,
Are you serious, Romney and multiple wives? Romney is the only Republican front-runner who has only been married once. Stop spreading your lies.
Remember, it was a Republican who said he doesn’t care about Bin Laden. In fact, it was the top Republican. The President.
Just glanced upthread… Now we have Kev defending Kev??? after protesting Kev??? Huh???
The male testosterone of some posters has reached the Benoit level! Enough of the Bush doesn’t want to kill bin Laden but working dem’s do back and forth! If terrorist attacks against our nation, with the deaths on 9-11 weren’t serious, those types of comments would be appropriate.
The anti Bush folks, that oppose ALL of his terror polices, keep their foucs on Bush didn’t, or doesn’t want to have Bin Laden killed. BIN LADEN’S KIDNEY’S FAILED, HE’S DEAD! Without a body for confirmation the conspiracy theorists would not accept that as fact. It’s probably believed in the White House, & Defense Dept. that bin Laden is dead But this administation knows that the war on terror and protectiong our nation, is broader than bin Laden alone. Bush will be out of office soon. If the Democrats take the Presidency; whom ever is President needs to have a commited understanding, to the continued threat of jihad against the West by radical Islamic’s. England has experienced increased terrorist attacks. America, fortunately has not since 9-11.
The class warfare from the dem’s that post. The riches people in America is Bill & Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet, of which are liberal Democrats. The Gates foundation is funding, $60 million to a special interest education group in 5 states, including Iowa for the primaries.
Jim,
Huh? I never posted anything about Romney, _or_ his wife/wives/whatever.
The war on terror. A war against an ideology. Not winnable. We never declared war on Iraq. We made a mistake. Time to end that mistake.
War on terror. A war against an ideology. Not winnable. New strategy. KEEP AMERICA SAFE. Pull our forces off of foreign soil. Let the CIA do their job and surveil the enemy, penetrate as possible, and defeat from within. Going in with guns-a-blazin has proved fruitless in Viet Nam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. LEARN A LESSON PEOPLE!!! This doesn’t work. Limit strikes to leadership garnered from the agency put in charge of gaining intelligence on foreign soil.
Strengthen our borders. Enforce the laws ALREADY in place. Broaden our foreign intelligence. Work in CONCERT with foreign governments, don’t try to overthrow them.
Let the CIA do their job and surveil the enemy, penetrate as possible, and defeat from within.
Sorry S, can’t do this anymore.
1. CIA can no longer capture terrorists and move them out of the country of capture.
2. CIA cannot hold them in a third party country without everyone crying about it.
3. CIA cannot interrogate baby killing exploding terrorists (bket). They have to say “pretty please” and “thank-you” for any information.
Might as well bring these folks home too. No point in finding terrorists if you cannot exploit any information from them.
So…I just took a closer look at the graphic at the head of this blog entry. Apparently, the WEBlog editors have never _seen_ “Dr Strangelove,” or they would have realized they had pasted Obama’s face onto the body of Major Kong, not Dr. Strangelove.
Hey, not impressed, Bush said he doesn’t care about finding Bin Laden. The Bush-bashers didn’t make that up! And if Bin Laden died of kidney failure rather than American bullets, then he ESCAPED JUSTICE. He killed 3,000 Americans and got away with it. Every jihadist from now on will know that for a fact. Yet somehow it seems beyond your comprehension.
I’m glad you brought up the attacks in England, because they were staged out of Pakistan. Get the point yet?
leftcoaster, be honest did you ever support Bush. Vote for him or any Republican? How convenient the anti Bush plan on terror crowd have bin Laden to use as a means to deflect from the the broader war on terror. If bin Laden is still alive, captured and killed. What is an acceptable plan for the continued war on terror within that group? By the way he alluded the Clinton administration too.
As to your comments of bin Laden not being killed by American bullets. With that same logic; wouldn’t the failed attempts to kill bin Laden by the Clinton administration(remember the Asiprin factory bombing?) have emboldened the jihadist for the attacks on our soil on 9-11? Or is that beyond your bias?
If bin Laden is discovered alive in Pakistan. I hope somebody, anybody, shots him and puts his body on display for the world to see!! To think President Bush would not, is ridiculous, and beyond extreme bias.
Osama Obama is clearly a moronic cretin. Is anyone really surprised by that?
Well you can certainly call Obama”strange”.
Osama ObamaPosted by: Jonas Outram | August 07, 2007 at 06:18 PM
Nice one. Is that your best shot? Playing alliterative name games, trying to make people think an American-born citizen is an Arab terrorist?
The only accurate part of your post is “moronic cretin,” but you chose the wrong person. That “moronic cretin” is you, Jon-ass.
Tommy, you are a naughty boy, aren’t you? you just had to make an “ass” comment, huh? :)
Jonas,
Would you know mockery and irony if the landed on your pointy head?
That’s a rhetorical question. Don’t bother answering.
