Great to see GOP Senators up for re-election (Domenici, Snowe, Hagel) staging an intervention to get Bush the Drunk to acknowledge reality in Iraq. Fat chance. But they know their political futures hang in the balance, and that the American people are sick of being lied to and have had more than enough of Bush.

True enough leave. And yesterday, he said he was coming to find me in his black escalade.

Now, how many folks on "disability" drive Escalades?

You need LOTS of scorecards to keep track of his lies. If anyone cares.

I say we just walk on by...

Hehehe, yup, ain't it the truth, P_Mom.

Weapons of Mass Destruction, tax breaks for "the poor," Al Qaeda = Saddam, chocolates and flowers, HeckofaJob Brownie, Libby is innocent.

On every important issue, everything they say turns out to be wrong and everything we say turns out to be right.

And their only response is, who are you going to trust? Us or the terrorists?

Being RepubliCON means staring at the sun until your eyes blister and calling it night.

Well gee, Republican...for some guy who knows so much about the situation, I've been right on every single point since the war in Afghanistan started.

And I believe that would make you 0 for 199

"So I guess your saying KenS that Clinton was full of crap when he passed the Democratization of Iraq into law?"

Yes Republican.....going all the way back to the Carter Administration, we've never had a good handle on Middle East policy. Repub or Demo...no one has done a good job, except for the fact that we've kept the oil flowing, which is a plus. But as for trying to establish responsible and stable governments that see the advantages of representative government and respect for the rule of law, its been a wash.

And enough of the hysterics about what happens when we leave Iraq. There's enough weapons in the country for every man woman and child. The Iraqis are secularists, not jihadists. They tolerate Al-Quaeda now because they're killing Americans, but when we're gone, they'll turn on them. So let them all take up arms and settle it themselves. As for Iran becoming the dominant power in the region, where have you been, the US and EU have been cowering before the Persians for a decade or more, all on account of their oil. Actually, it would be a good thing if Iran became involved in Iraq, the Iraqi Shiites are not anxious to be stooges for Iran. They'll use the Iranians much as they have used the US to suppress the Sunnis, but they'll eventually go their own way. There is no love lost between Arabs and Persians.

1. What wars did the US fight that "lasted for years?"

2. We knew we won in WW2 when the Germans, Italians and Japanese government surrendered. What government is going to surrender in Iraq?

3. Free Republic?! Sorry, no. I already took one shower today.

4. Have you fought in Iraq? If no, why not?

How do you know when we won? History will tell. The US has fought in many wars that lasted for years. If we hadn't won those our country would not exist as we know it now, and I think this country is great. Don't you? Here is an interesting article about support for Bush from a Vail,CO newspaper.

"I would like to point out that Senators Domenici and Snowe are both up for reelection in 2008."

If Snowe is as smart as I think she might be, she needs to switch parties and join the Democrats. She is one of the few Republicans I would welcome.

I don't want to throw the towel in on Iraq. As much as I hate being there, leaving there will have very bad consequences for the USA. It will certainly allow Iran to become the dominant power in that part of the world and it will make the USA look weak and untrustworthy. Not to mention the huge amount of blood that will be spilled in Iraq the minute we say bye bye. But on the other hand I am honestly beginning to think that Bush has so screwed this up- from the minute he went in there on a pack of lies- and for 4 years since- that there may be no salvaging Iraq. It may be a lost cause at this point. I hope not and I hope that somehow we can still win but it is looking more and more bleak everyday.

You mean the same U.N. that was monitoring the "Oil For Food" program and managed to let $5 billion dollars to slip out and pay bribes to countries like France, Germany and Russia to smuggle in supplies and equipment. That U.N.?

Or that the son of the U.N. was caught taking bribes from the Oil for Food program. That the same U.N. you talking about?

Yeah, we can really trust the U.N.

If someone had an enemy base in Mexico had an Iraqi SCUD improved by the Russians KCDan, they could have delivered the payload of their choice on your empty head in Kansas City. That is a WMD.

Use your empty head Dan.

Like I said, I was stationed in that part of the World, I heard the intel reports.

How about you Dan, making crap up as you write?

"There's more, but I'm guessing it's still classified."

Good God, Republank, you truly are a wannabe expert on EVERYTHING.

What a chock of shit.

The UN Inspectors said that Saddam Hussein was a paper tiger - Bush has admitted as much - yet you still bang the drum that Saddam Hussein was a threat to the United States.

......despite the fact that he didn't even control all of his own country.

Christ.

There was an economic and military embargo against Iraq since Daddy Bush's oil war. There were intermittent bombings of the country during the entire sanctions period. The country was watched continuously via satellite and surveilence aircraft.

There was no friggin way Iraq had WMD's - and most of the world, outside of this nitwit country, knows it.

Use your friggin head.
