The last NIE reports said that Bush has created more terrorists. I have to agree with their assessment

Joe Lieberman is a Jew first and an American second.
Lieberman: Iran has declared war on the USJosh CatonePublished: Monday July 2, 2007
Following a statement issued by the American Forces Press Service accusing Iran’s Quds Force of “training, funding and arming the Iraqi groups,” as well as Hezbollah operatives in Iraq, Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) released a statement saying that Iran has declared war on America.
“Although no one desires a conflict with Iran, the fact is that the Iranian government by its actions has declared war on us,” Lieberman wrote, while urging the United States to keep “open the possibility of using military force against the terrorist infrastructure inside Iran.”
“These revelations should be a wake-up call to the United States about the threat posed by the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Lieberman continued, “as well as a reminder why Iraq is, in fact, the central front of the global war on terror.”
The AFPS article that prompted Lieberman’s statement quoted heavily from Brig. Gen. Kevin Bergner, who alleges that the Quds Force sends weapons and $750,000 to $3 million per month into Iraq. According to Bergner, terrorist organizations in Iraq would be “hard pressed” to continue without funding from Iran.
Lieberman seized on the opportunity to criticize fellow members of Congress who have pushed for a withdrawal of US troops from Iraq and repeated the oft-heard White House line that a retreat from Iraq is a victory for terrorists.
“For Congress to mandate a retreat from Iraq will give the Iranians exactly what they want most,” Lieberman concluded. “A retreat would not only represent a catastrophic defeat for the United States, but an epic victory for Iran, Hezbollah, and the forces of Islamist terrorism.”
Some neoconservatives believe that Lieberman’s hard line stance on Iran will ultimately make US military action against that country easier for the White House to sell.
Bill Kristol, the editor of the Weekly Standard, recently told Fox News that Lieberman’s campaign against Iran has made “it at least easier for the administration to consider” military action.
Joe the Jew really doesn’t want to start a war with Iran. Iraq was easy. Iraq was made up of three factions that hated each other. The only thing that kept Iraq together was Hussein. We killed Hussein, Iraq fell apart. Iran’s different, it’s really solidly behind it’s leadership. The leadership is based on the Islamic religion. Joe starts a fight with those guys in their funny dresses they are going to kick our ass worse then the little yellow guys in the black pajamas did.
Oh, and Cosmos?
I love your posts. You are clearly head and shoulders above the blank one.
We all know the blank one has no hesitation about lying. Good ol’ republican values, ya know?
We all know he is a kookaide drinker, one of the twenty percenters. We all know his rants and meltdowns, no matter WHICH nic he uses.
So Cosmos, please continue posting your facts and intelligent comments. YOU are not the irrelevant one on ignore by most of the posters here.
The blank one? Scroll over territory.
Lots of chatter on the internet today. Suggestions that we all fly our flags upside down on the Fourth to signify the distress of our democracy.
Perhaps we should fly it at half mast to note the death of the rule of law. And the constitution.
“Lots of chatter on the internet today.”
You mean lots of chatter at DU, daily kos, wehateamerica.com?
Give it a rest, farmchick, you leftists were only ever concerned with the constitution and “democracy” when it suited you! Please, give it a rest.
Oh no, no rest for the repukes.
Like the dog who killed chickens, you will have to wear this stinkin’ carcass around your necks long after 2009 when the democrats take over.
What was that meme about restoring honor to the white house? Hheheheheheheheheeeheheeehehhehehe!
We see…
Fleetie, I didnt know you were a closet DUer. Do you read it once a day, several times a day?
Probably not. Wouldnt want any facts to penetrate your pointing little bushbot head.
“Ooooo that smell. The smell of death’s around you.”
Sorry Joe!, lokks like you will have to hit the bong all by yourself this morning. As for me, just my usual coffee …
Neither side has obeyed the Constitution for longer than most of us have been alive. Expecting that to start anytime soon is an act of purest optimism.

I don’t think those bong hits are helping Joe’s posts make any more sense than usual.
KFG,Agreed. Bush’s actions yesterday should be praised by all right thinking Americans. Bush showed everybody what the party of personal responsibility was about. It was a gift for which I am very grateful.
Maybe Kansas will get fed up and vote out bush’s water boy, at least one of them.
If Hillary Clinton really were as bright as some seem to think she is she would keep her pie hole shut about pardons and such, but alas…..
My appointees to the board of pardons and paroles reflect my no-nonsense approach to crime and punishment. They believe people who commit crimes against innocent Texans should pay the consequences; they believe sentences imposed by juries should be carried out. The Texas prison system had become a revolving door earlier in the 1990s, when the prison population had far exceeded the capacity of the system.. I am proud that Texas today has virtually eliminated parole for violent criminals.Source: “A Charge to Keep”, p.151-152. Dec 9, 1999
“How can parents instill values and morality in their children?” asked a befuddled Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE). “How can educators teach our children? How can the rule of law for every American be applied equally if we have two standards of justice in America – one for the powerful and the other for the rest of us?”
Senate Minority Leader Bill Frist joined Hagel in slamming Bush’s actions, saying the commutation amounted to unfair treatment. “He is not above the law,” said the clearly enraged Republican from Tennessee. “If an ordinary citizen committed these crimes, he would go to jail.”
………………
Fellow Republican Texan Tom Delay, himself indicted, nonetheless issued a scathing attack on the commutation.
“No man is above the law, and no man is below the law,” Delay said, choking back tears. “That’s the principle that we all hold very dear in this country.”
oh but now that its a repuke…they are all forgetful of this right
Farm Gal,The flag I’m flying tomorrow was last flown over Dr. Tiller’s Clinic.
the flag I am flying tomorrow will be upside down
I was numb for weeks, angry, scared. Just like everyone else. But I honestly didn’t feel any less safe against Al Queda or other terrorist groups by Christmas 2001. I found duct tape and plastic sheeting, color coded threat levels and Homeland Security to be window dressing with no substance. I will never forget, but how I go about my daily life has not been impacted tremendously by an outrageous act of violence and terror from “enemies abroad.”
However, I do feel radically changed by the egregious behavior of the U.S. government. The flagrant constitutional violations of the executive branch. The acquiescence of the legislative branch. The anticipated complicity of the judicial branch. Someone else at DU stated it well when s/he said s/he was tired of living in a major moment of history. That’s it exactly. The shock of 9/11 pales to me by comparison to the grinding and relentless madness of the last five and a half years.
Our world will never be the same. Less because of 19 hijackers than an unknown number of men and women in Washington who position themselves beyond accountability to the U.S. Constitution and their constituents. I fear this will not end well.
Bush Family Evil Empire: Scandal Du Jour–
Bush commutes Libby’s prison sentence, just days before this POS was going to get frog-marched into something orange.
Can there be any doubt that this was pre-arranged, political pay-off for protected the mafia capos that now run our government?
Can anyone seriously believe that Inmate 28301-016 will not get a full pardon in the last days of Worst. President. Ever’s. last days in the Oval Office?
Can anyone not know that Libby would roll-over on his handlers like a ton of bricks if he actually thought for one second that he would do real time?
Time like Susan McDougal, Martha Stewart and even PARIS HILTON had to do, for heaven’s sake?
Yup. The Repukes have shown the entire world that the word “integrity” and “shame” are not in their vocabulary.
This has been your Bush Family Evil Empire: Scandal Du Jour.
And oh baby, does this one stink or what?
Libby did the crime, should have done the time.
“And oh baby, does this one stink or what?”
How’s that impeachment coming?
Impeachment for Bush?? I dont think so… perhaps for Cheney… I think Leahy is serious…
But, if you take out all of Bush’s props, he will, like Humpty Dumpty, have a great fall!!
Watch what you and your pets eat and check where your vitamins come from before you take them. All food should be ban from China.
BEIJING — China warned the media Tuesday against exaggerating its food safety problems and stirring consumer panic, even as officials announced dozens of snacks for children had failed standards and more fake blood protein was found in hospitals.
China’s dismal product safety record _ both within and outside its borders _ has increasingly come under the spotlight as its goods make their way through global markets. Major buyers such as the United States, Japan, and the European Union have pushed Beijing to improve inspections.
Well, well, well…
Rubs hands together in anticipation.
Today I saw Michael Moore’s _Sicko_. It is not a two sided treatment to any extent. I am not sure there is a viable “other” side, however. Without doubt this was Moore’s best work.
