Her impending death will not do anyting to help you Republicans win in 2008. If Mrs Edwards should die before 2008 and her husband earns the nomination, he will still win the election. Her death may make the Republicans feel better but it will provide you no electorial advantages.

Here’s a factoid from the link I provide above about Fred Thompson’s wife. I didn’t know this, was a surprise to me.

“She (Mrs.Thompson) is an attorney and a political media consultant at the Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, and McPherson law firm in Washington, D.C. She had formerly worked for the Senate Republican Conference and the Republican National Committee.”

Who cares. Still a dumb blonde trophy girl. I don’t know why people think that lawyers are smart. Some are and some aren’t. A JD after a name does not imply intelligence.

I think I would watch a spouses debate. The politicians are so polished and practiced, they are going to say whatever the polls want to hear. Their spouses on the other hand, I would imagine to be more likely to tell it like it is.
