Discussion of the dustup between Elizabeth Edwards (in photo) and Hillary Clinton pushed the panel on "Fox News Sunday" toward a fresh idea for what’s already a snore of a campaign: "The Democratic Spouses’ Debate," as the Weekly Standard’s William Kristol put it. He said he finds Elizabeth Edwards and Bill Clinton more interesting than their candidate spouses and he’s "a fan of Michelle Obama." The ratings likely would be good, for the curiosity factor alone.
(Bloggers: Commence adding sexist comments about the wife of Dennis Kucinich and, if you want to be bipartisan, the wife of Fred Thompson.)
Why stop there? A "Republican Ex-Spouses Debate" could be fun, too.

Whaaa Mizz Rhonda… Ah do declare… such comments could give the conservatives vapahs I say, vapahs…
“A “Republican Ex-Spouses Debate” could be fun, too.”
Actually that one could be a lot MORE fun. Include ALL of their multiple spouses and ex-spouses. Debate topic: FAMILY VALUES!
Rhonda, you’re onto something in promoting an ex-spouses’ debate. Hey, I’d even watch it! (Especially if focused on Ben’s suggested topic.)
ROFLMAO
So maybe it could be like family feud? Form a “team” of exes? Hell, I’d let the big dog take on ALL of the republicans’ ex wives in a debate. Single handedly.
see you almost had a blog about Democratic candidates..And then you had to turn it into bad Republican blog..
man at this rate you will never have a blog about a Democratic candidate..
I think I would watch a spouses debate. The politicians are so polished and practiced, they are going to say whatever the polls want to hear. Their spouses on the other hand, I would imagine to be more likely to tell it like it is.
BTW Rhonda, I had never saw pictures of Kucinich and Thompson’s wives until your mention led me to Google them. Thanks for the tip. They are both attractive ladies.
LOL Good post Rhonda!

Okay Rhonda, I’ll add my sexist remark.
HUBBA HUBBA!:D
That was like saying ‘Don’t think about a pink elephant’
lol
WE EDITORS:
When are we going to get some real coverage on the candidates here?
All the candidates?
Not just the abortion stance of every Republican?
MSM-Agenda
Get Democrats elected no matter what..
Dan Rather must be working for this paper
Here’s a factoid from the link I provide above about Fred Thompson’s wife. I didn’t know this, was a surprise to me.
“She (Mrs.Thompson) is an attorney and a political media consultant at the Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, and McPherson law firm in Washington, D.C. She had formerly worked for the Senate Republican Conference and the Republican National Committee.”
Some party Bashing jokes about wives and ex-wives of all parties:
———The New York State Legislature proposed a Giuliani Law to prevent the formation of Republican Party Harems.———When asked about his ex-wives, Newt Ginrich replied, “They don’t seem like ex-wives as I still have to pay money to them. It’s just now I don’t have to listen to them . Come to think of it, I never listened to them before.———-When Hillary Clinton was asked about her husband’s past infidelity and how she would handle them in the White House, she replied, “Bill will no feel the presence of the Secret Service no matter where he goes. I’ve even drawn up plans for a toilet paper monitor and condom use detector.”
no feel=now feel
How about a beauty contest between the wives of the presidential hopefuls? Who cares what they have to say on the issues.
I would like to see Jeri Kehn- the barbie doll trophy wife in a debate. It would be like Paris Hilton debating somebody!

Who cares. Still a dumb blonde trophy girl. I don’t know why people think that lawyers are smart. Some are and some aren’t. A JD after a name does not imply intelligence.
“Hopefully We wont have to suffer from to many of Ms Edwards rants much longer.”
Her impending death will not do anyting to help you Republicans win in 2008. If Mrs Edwards should die before 2008 and her husband earns the nomination, he will still win the election. Her death may make the Republicans feel better but it will provide you no electorial advantages.

Typical Republicans. Trade in the old wife for somebody half their age. Good “family values”.
Horst Wessell,
Class act.
From the sound of things, you’re still aching for some black cock.
Or Kev you could be like the democrats and not trade them in. Just keep a replacement on the side and humiliate the one you have. The demos have no lock on family values do they?
You can trade in your old wife?

This was tasteless and tacky. You have sunk yourself to the level of Republicans with this posting.

As opposed to the rants of Guiliani? At least Ms Edwards had the class and guts to put Ann Coulter back in her snake-ridden litter box.
What’s the matter – you can’t tolerate a smart woman like Elizabeth Edwards? Is that a threat to your manhood?
CR,
And your no better for saying buy his doing so he has sunk to the level of Republicans!
