Who knew Paris was acting?

Paris Hilton told Barbara Walters on a jailhouse collect call that she will no longer act dumb. ABC quoted her as saying, “I used to act dumb. . . . That act is no longer cute.” She went on to say that her recent experiences and time in jail have changed her and that “God has given me this new chance.”
Here is a prime example of what a child will turn out like when given no limits and nothing to live up to. This young woman was made a fool of and actually thrived on “acting” dumb. It cannot be stressed enough as to how poor Paris and other young starlets are as role models. But it’s our own hypocritical fault. Our disapproving hunger for their continuous drama feeds their need for attention. Sure, Paris has made some mistakes. But shame on us for encouraging them.

Paris Hilton is an American Icon of excess. I was watching the news early this morning and they said her mysterious “medical condition” is severe ADD (go figure) and she’s claustrophobic. She said she felt like she was in a cage. Isn’t that what jail is all about? Confinement when you ignore the standards of society?

Jail time must be good for Paris; she’s had her “come to Jesus” moment, she’s learned her lesson, she’ll never drink and drive again, all in just a few days.

She’ll be out in a couple of weeks. Then she can go back to being a useless piece of fluff.

way to go Andie. You get that giving her attention by blogging about her is part of the problem.

Yet, if you are going to continue to feed the story. Draw similarities to other people that have similar backgrounds that actually have impact on everyones lives.

Like Bush and Cheney. Both have similar backgrounds. Especially Bush. They were both treated like spoiled brats growing up.

Bush and Cheney have had big issues with alcohol. Cheney has had several DUI’s and Bush has rumored to have done cocaine at camp David when his dad was President.

They were never held accountable for their behavior. How is it that Paris Hilton…a young lady..whose behavior has never hurt anyone… is in jail. Yet Bush and Cheney have never spent a day in jail.

They are both so corrupt and have spent their lives getting away unimaginable. Today they are responsible for thousands of unnecessary deaths, yet like most of their lives, still no accounting for Bush and Cheney.

Where is the outrage…why the double standards.

Piece of fluff? If she claims to having been born again, you may well be looking at a female Bush, and she may be the new “decider”!

We’re a bunch of sheep in this country…the media tells us what’s important and then we can’t get enough of it.Also, it’s just human nature to want to google at the train wreck. We love being shocked and indignant about something. It’s just what and who we are.

Jail is for unlucky people, not for violations of society’s standards. We all violate the standards, since it is not possible for a human being to adhere to them. Some of us don’t get caught, that’s all. By the way, Paris didn’t really do anything.

If you think a DUI is nothing, Door King, then you can be the one facing her head-on the next time she is behind the wheel drunk. And, BTW, she was arrested on her THIRD probation violation. That is something called arrogance. But I’m sure you like arrogance from the sound of your posting.

The media feeds us these and more stories everyday. We eat them up time and time again. I mean seriously why so much attention to Lacey Peterson? Thousands of people are murdered in this country every year. Yes it is sad she died, but why so much attention to her? The reason of course is wealth and looks. If Lacey Peterson was a strung out crack whore she would have barely gotten a mention in the obituary pages.

Paris Hilton has looks and money and she will continue to use them even though she claims to have found God.

How on earth am I encouraging Paris to act like the idiot she is?

I love watching many celebrities, but I don’t see them out acting like a constant retard in public.

Paris is who she is because of the choices she has made and an obvious lack of any parental guidance. Not because I enjoy reading about her being an idiot.

I feel very sorry for Paris, and Brittany, as well as the other coked out Hollywood party girls. Hey, let’s not forget, these are human beings here. They were once little baby girls, who were held in their fathers arms.

Considering what these girls have to face nowdays, it sends a jolt of terror down my spine.
