Undisclosed acting role?

Is it just me or is there more than a passing resemblance between actor Fred Thompson and a certain cheeriness-challenged dwarf? Come clean, Mr. Thompson. Did you or did you not, early in your career, once take an acting role you are less than proud of today?

Grumpy has much better positions on taxes, war and immigration than does Fred Dalton Thompson, and he has stuck with the same wife, abet shared, for the last fifty years.

Grumpy, in my estimation, would work with Congress to address the nations problems much better than Thompson would.

He may be a grump, but he has much more to offer.

    Agreed, LMBA.

It’s sickening to see that dried up old guy (hey, you smoke much, dude?) with that fresh-as-May babe.

Also, it turns out Mr. Law-and-Order worked for years as a LOBBYIST.

    Sheesh, gimme a break.

It’s funny to me that the conservative Republicans who hate “Hollyweird” and “Hollywood values” have elected Hollywood actors to the presidency, representatives and now want to elect this guy. HYPOCRITES

Crowson’s cheap shot at Thompson’s appearance shows you the level the Wichita Eagle has fallen to in its desparate attempt to discredit ANY Republican candidate.

I’d expect a smart-ass comment from Clark aka Capn Crunch and Friedmann types on this blog, but not from the WE itself.

Crowson should apologize and promise to try to act like a professional journalist in the future.

And the Wichita Eagle if it wants to maintain any credibility should take a hard look at Crowson to see if there is any reason to maintain him as an employee.

Max, it’s no big deal; age is just a number. Why is anybody hung up on the age difference? If you want a younger woman, all you have to do is figure out what a younger woman wants and provide it. If you’re a sexist pig, you’re probably wasting your time.

Regardless of age, women aren’t that hard to figure out. They want a secure, loving relationship. They like to be treated as an equal (as they fully deserve). Thankfully, they don’t judge us the way most men judge them.

If you want a woman young enough to be your daughter, the first requisite is to be rich. If a woman marries a man twice her age, she either has to have a serious father figure fetish, or more likely, is a gold digger. Simple.

Phantom, that’s really not a fair statement and sounds like some kind of stereotype you’d find on TV. There are as many reasons to hook up with older men as there are women who do that. And financial security isn’t an illegitimate criteria for choosing a mate, so long as that isn’t the only criteria.

Of course, a lot depends on the age range we’re talking about. A 40 year-old man hooking up with an 18 year-old might raise my eyebrows. But what about a 40 year-old woman marrying a man who’s 60?
