Senators Hope to Revive Immigration Bill in Future

WASHINGTON — A widely-criticized immigration reform bill died on a procedural motion in the Senate on Thursday night, but key negotiators are suggesting that it may live to see another day.

Republican Sens. Arlen Specter, Jon Kyl, Lindsey Graham and Mel Martinez were all upbeat after a vote to end debate failed 45-50, failing to reach the 60-vote threshold to move toward final passage.

Creation Museum Actor Owns Porn Site

The man picked as Adam by a museum based on the Bible’s version of Earth’s history led quite a different life outside the Garden of Eden, flaunting his sexual exploits online and modeling for a line of clothing with an explicit mascot.

Registration records show that Eric Linden, who portrays Adamtaking his first breath in a film at the newly opened CreationMuseum, owns a graphic Web site called Bedroom Acrobat. He has been pictured there, smiling alongside a drag queen, in a T-shirt brandishing the site’s sexually suggestive logo.

Linden, a graphic designer, model and actor, also sells clothing for SFX International, whose initials appear on clothing to spell “SEX” from afar and serve as an abbreviation for its mascot, who promotes “free love,”"pleasure” and “Thrillz.”

The museum’s operators, informed Thursday by The AssociatedPress of Linden’s online appearances, acted swiftly to suspend airing of the 40-second video in which he appeared. The clip is one of 55 featured on tours of the museum, in Petersburg, Ky., which tells what organizers call, the Bible’s version of Earth’s history.

Very fitting Capn…the hypocrisy never ceases to amaze. If a republican is in charge of protecting children…..mostly likely he is a pedofile. If a republican is in charge of international prostitution…..he most likely is a “john”. If a republican is in a video at some museum…….most likely he has been in porn. If a ultra conservative pastor publicly hates gays….he is most likely having a homosexual affair. And the hits just keep on coming.

There’s an assumption on the blog that I’ve decided to reject: That the blank poster is a “he.”

What proof do any of us have that the blank is male or female? It has repeatedly changed and/or trolled nics, and has been caught lying about both. It’s been caught in other exaggerations, fabrications, and outright lies as well.

Carl Bernstein is hosting a chat about his recent book on Hillary Clinton at the Washington Post today. He made this very interesting statement about her:*****Carl Bernstein: I wouldn’t judge her more “unauthentic” or “calculting” than the current inner-circle. I have written (see the Vanity Fair website)at length about the mendacity, incompetance, and tragic arrogance of President Bush and some members of his inner circle.

What I have written about Hillary in the last chapter of AWiC is “Increasingly, what Hillary serves up for public consumption, especially since setting her sights on the Senate and the presidency, is usually elaborately prepared or relatively soulles.. This is the true shame.”Hillary is neither the demon of the right’s perception, nor a feminist saint, nor is she particularly emblemnatic of her time–perhaps more old-fashioned than modern. Hers is a story of strength and vulnerability, a woman’s story. She is a woman endowed with energy, enthusiasm, humor, tempestuousness, inner strength, spontaneity in private, lethal (almost) powers of retribution, real-life lines that come from deep wounds, and the language skills of a sailor (and of a minister), all evidence of her passion–which down deep, is perhaps her most enduring and even endearing trait.”As Hillary has continued to speak from the protective shell of her own making, and packaged herself for the widest possible consumption, she has misrepresented not just facts but often her essential self.”*****

“Last year, a seemingly amateurish Youtube video mocking the “An Inconvenient Truth” turned out to have been produced by slick Republican public relations firm called DCI, which just happens to have oil giant Exxon as a client.”

“The vice president has done that, Kreider argues, and the family tries to offset that carbon footprint by purchasing their power through the local Green Power Switch program — electricity generated through renewable resources such as solar, wind, and methane gas, which create less waste and pollution. “In addition, they are in the midst of installing solar panels on their home, which will enable them to use less power,” Kreider added. “They also use compact fluorescent bulbs and other energy efficiency measures and then they purchase offsets for their carbon emissions to bring their carbon footprint down to zero.”

It was a trap Cosmos, I knew you would go for the pool house like I knew you would try to spank out the numbers of the pool house as some claim to your false detective prowess.

Evidently you fell for it and now I’m laughing at you.

Now, I’m laughing at you because you ignore the utility bill of the GORACLE in 2006 which was $29,268 in gas and electric bills.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t know anyone who spends $2439 a month in electric and gas then claims to be green besides the GORACLE.

BTW, that doesn’t include the fuel for his cars and his lawn maintenance. Nor does it include any of the petroleum based products he utilizes in his house, properties and business.

And what about all those jet aircraft he takes flying around the world spewing out emissions at a huge rate.

Your leader Al Gore is a fraudulent side show Carny, just as your Alarmist theories are.

Anthropogenic alarmism is a cash grab for the rich and greedy and that’s the truth of what it is all about.

It’s a shame that poor insignificant dufuses like you get sucked into the scheme because they are definetly using you Cosmos.

As I said before and I’m am saying it again, I’m all for saving energy, making new energy sources and playing down oil out of usage existence. I’m not for this greedy act of carbon market trash that people are falling for like a flock of sheep.

Try and grow up Cosmos. You will find we think more alike on environmental issues rather than differ.

I don’t like the Alarmist route, methods and ideology with GW anthropenice Alarmism being used like a false religion.

  50. Posted June 8, 2007 at 5:35 pm | Permalink

    Amazing…

Republank again posts more LIES, to try to prove that peer-reviewed climate science is “Alarmism being used like a false religion”.

Al Gore flies commercial whenever possible, and has to go thru security like everyone else.

But Republank believes airlines would cancel their flight, if he alone wasn’t a passenger on it? Would they put their other passengers on buses and ships?

Gore’s bill’s are about 50% higher, because he pays extra for green energy. Some of Gore’s neighbors, with smaller homes, use more energy than his.

But Republank is so blinded by his hatred of Gore (and the U.N) that he can’t understand any of the above. He’s pathetic, and hopeless.

  51. Posted June 8, 2007 at 5:44 pm | Permalink

So Cosmos, tell me how Al Gore paying higher bill’s equates to energy reduction. How much less petroleum products does he use because he pays higher bills. He’s a millionaire, he can do that, yawn and go eat more bon bons for his ever expanding waist line.

The only thing higher energy bills will do for the average “Joe” is put him out of business or make him do without.

If you describe that as hatred for your U.N. plan, then yes, I do hate it when some misguided idealists think that artificially raising prices on a necessity will improve the situation in the reality of life.

As your own statements and the statements of the Alarmist claim, nothing will even be realized until a minimum of 50 to 100 years have passed. That’s right, nothing, nada, zilch, the big zero.

So stop holding your greedy greasy palms out for gold Cosmos, you ain’t getting any.

I’m a registered INDEPENDENT, and have been for years. Conservative, leaned on the Rep side, but not really thrilled with any POTUS or candidate for many years.

And Clark, before you say Pass on By Again, who would you honestly pick? I mean, come on, if you are truly THE MAN, can you recommend any of the present candidates or someone else?

Clark, don’t give me your liberal crap, dig a little deeper if you are capable, (don’t be shy, evasive or mince words) tell me, if you had to go to war, who would you have on point?

First of all, Mr. Max, the “walk on by” is for the benefit of the nic switching, nic stealing troll that goes by the name of Republican.

If you feel that is applies to you, well, deal with it.

Second, I did make any statement to this effect:

“if you are truly THE MAN”

But if you think it applies, so be it. I am who I am.

Third, my choice for my party’s nomination for president is Barack Obama and it has been for a long time. He is bright, driven, capable and provides a breath of fresh air among the potential candidates. His air of optimism is drastically needed in a post-Bush world.

As for someone to walk point for me in war, my son is my best friend and is highly intelligent and wise. He is also 6′3″ and 275 pounds of muscle. He would be my choice. I also love my son more than anything, as he does me.

But did you have a point in addressing me directly, or is this an open question for anyone?

1)Clark, my addressing you in this last post was simply because you seemingly post 50% of the comments on this blog, whether you have any contribution of substance or not. It is only rudimentory then, that I anticpate your post accordingly.

2)Your “Walk on By” comments are NOT as you say, addressed only to the Nic commentators you might suspect, it’s prevelant on countless “anti-posts” you have when you disagree with anyone and have nothing of substance to say in response, as if you were purely a reactionary toad-like animal cowering in the fear of someone not agreeing with you. For you to say this is a response to “nic posters” only is not true. You do this countless times with much graphical flamboyance, that only serves to emphasize how juvenile you are. It serves no purpose, but filler and flack, to dissuage others who have a supported opinion to particpate on this blog. And this also gives ammunition to those at the WE to begin filtering and editing this blog, and who could blame WE for doing so after you fill up 1/2 their server space and maybe that is your ultimate goal – to silence the freedom of speech. Afraid of a legitemit argument?

3)And for you to blame Repulbican for these “nic” posts is unsubstantuated and purely congectural from your point of view.

Lastly, CLARK, on your choice of Obama, that’s no surprise to anyone who has read 2 or 3 of your posts.

You make decisions purley on your gut FEEL, feelings based on the presentation of an eloquent speaker promising you optimism when in fact there is no substance to the promises made, and no realization of the challenges we face in the world today.

Obama reflects your hopes of Socialism, and if you make more than $35,000 per year, you might wonder how much he will take from YOU to give to the POOR! You might as well take out your checkbook now and put your money where your mouth is. I hope you have a lot of money Clark!

And to those who thought I might be writing figuratively of the next President taking the Point for you, I was actually writing figuratively as well as literally, because the next POTUS will fulfill one role and command the other.

If you don’t understand how critical it is for the next POTUS to fulfill both roles, then you have no clue what it means to be Commander in Chief.

If those on this blog want to see 50% of the posts filled up by you Clark, then we’ll see more of the same. On the chance that perhaps, someone (me maybe?) might call you out to task, though GMC70 has done the same, maybe NOW is the time for the posters to arise and knock your ass down a few pegs.

And Clark, when you get your head out of your ass, you truly might see the light of day for the first frickin time in your life! Breathe in the clean air, it will be most refreshing for you, and for anyone who must be around you!

“knock your ass down a few pegs”

Bring it on, Max, I am fifty five years old and undefeated.

As for the nic stealer – he admitted it – so are you suggesting that he lied?

And, by the way, what happened to your big night out – did the hooker want more money than you could afford?

As for mine being fifty percent of the posts – I post far less than Republank, but whatever. My girlfriend and my son work nights, so I usually post from mid-afternoon until early evening.

    Got a problem with that?

As for GMC, check out our exchanges – their is mutual respect and I consider GMC to be a good man with good ideas. We do not always agree, but there is not any flaming between us.

    Got a problem with that?

As for WE and the Blog? The Eagle doesn’t even OWN the freakin’ blog. They do not edit or censor and basically they can’t.

Christ, they didn’t even ban Republank for his admitted nic stealing.

Obviously, they aren’t going to do anything about a nice man like me.

    Got a problem with that?

Anyway, I will be waiting for you to knock me down a few pegs – this should be good.

By the way, I have a bit of fun and inject some humor in my posts, but I can play hardball with the absolute best of them.

    Got a problem with that?

    Hey Clark,

I think they are just regular bohr goats. I have three that are 4 or 5 months old and two just less than a year.

I got them to replace 5 of my old goats that have got too sour and mean to train novice dogs on.

I’ll soon wean 6 of my wither lambs and bring them over then I’ll have a pretty good selection of stock to train my dogs with.

Naw, Chas, I am not sure what his problem is, but I don’t like his ‘tude and I am not going to back down.

It’s rather foolish for him to jump me, not knowing the facts and pretending that I am causing big problems here in Blog City.

But whatever – I am fine with intelligent debate, but I can play the flame throwing game as well.

The only one that I won’t debate is Republank, and that was only after his ridiculous nic stealing, switching and trolling.

    Anyway……………. here I am.

You know what would be funny?

Next week when Bush and his handlers come to town for their stage-managed fund raiser for whatever POS Republican it is this time?

It would really be funny to see Max or outlander or SolDev or Fleetttwood or ReplagiarCon try to get into the event TO SEE THE PRESIDENT.

“But I love him,” they sob as the “security” kicks their sorry asses down a flight of stairs.

    If you don’t have a 1,000 dollar check in your hand, you ain’t sh*t to them . . .

President Bush at a black-tie fund-raiser, as cigar-smoke and the tinkle of ice in cocktails fills the room, Bush surveys the assemblage:

“this is an impressive crowd–the haves and the have-mores. Some people will call you the elite; I call you MY BUSH.”

The useful idiots think Bush was talking about them . . . sheesh.
