U.S. Arming Sunnis in Iraq to Battle Old Qaeda AlliesBy JOHN F. BURNS and ALISSA J. RUBINPublished: June 11, 2007
“American commanders say they have successfully tested the strategy in Anbar Province west of Baghdad and have held talks with Sunni groups in at least four areas of central and north-central Iraq where the insurgency has been strong.”http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/11/world/middleeast/11iraq.html?ex=1339214400&en=7c69d70a25a4828e&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
That comes years after Bush made the big blunder of disbanding the Iraqi military so thousands of soldiers with guns become instantly unemployed.
Bush Receives Hero’s Welcome in AlbaniaMon Jun 11, 2007 1:22 AM EDTworld-newsJennifer Loven, AP Writer
“President Bush, enthusiastically welcomed as the first U.S. president in this former communist nation, served notice Sunday he is running out of patience with Russia’s objections to independence for neighboring Kosovo.
“Sooner rather than later you’ve got to say `Enough’s enough — Kosovo is independent,’” Bush said, telling Albanians what they wanted to hear. He said independence was a certainty.”

Colin Powell says Guantanamo should be closed. Sun Jun 10, 10:51 AM ETWASHINGTON (Reuters) – Former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Sunday the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay for foreign terrorism suspects should be immediately closed and its inmates moved to the United States.

Wall Street Journal: “Bad Odds”
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB118114530050026499.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
“If the plans come to fruition, Kansas will be the 13th U.S. state to bet that commercial casinos will prove to be a win-win game, reaping profits for the casino owners and boosting development for their hosts at the same time. “We’ll see a big economic benefit,” Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius said when she signed the enabling legislation in April.”
“A growing body of research and experience, however, suggests the odds are not stacked in the state’s favor. Some economists go so far as to call casinos a sort of global zero-sum game, in which the outcome for a host city depends on the casino’s ability to attract out-of-state tourists and separate them from their money — a feat that becomes increasingly hard to achieve as more states install casinos of their own.”
Once again bush is fortunate to follow Clinton. Clinton gets Kosovo liberated, bush basks in the warmth.
Yeah I noticed how Republicon left that out of his post….How Albanians loved Clinton so much for what HE did, that many kids are named Bill and Hillary.
Did you also see where the Albanian being interviewed said the United States should spread democracy to ALL….
Albanians need to give themselves more credit for what they did…they wanted it- they asked for the help.
Iraq is a whole nother ballgame.
U.S. Arming Sunnis in Iraq to Battle Old Qaeda Allies .
Deja va–Osama bin Laden in the Afghan and Russian war. Tell me how did that work out for us? We seem to back the ones that come back and bite us in the butt.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tim-long/kids-questions-to-presid_b_51505.html
O ya, intelligent move: arm the same people we went into Iraq to dispose in the first place. Gee, ya think the Sunnis bonded with their victors, kinda like the way kidnapped sometimes bond with their kidnappers? I gotta bridge . . . cheap.
So Bush (an admitted alcoholic) has fallen off the wagon and is photograped in Germany drinking a beer (or near beer).

Kansas Walmart Stores among those with infected Ground Beef
http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2007/jun/09/ground_beef_recalled_kansas_other_states/
Ground beef recalled in Kansas, other statesJune 9, 2007
“Tyson Fresh Meats Inc. on Friday recalled more than 40,000 pounds of ground beef shipped to Wal-Mart stores in Kansas and 11 other states after samples tested at a Sherman, Texas, plant showed signs of E. coli contamination.
No illnesses had been reported. Other states affected are Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
Wal-Mart has removed the products from its meat cases.
The recalled ground beef had sell-by dates of June 13. The products include 1 1/2-pound trays of Angus steak burger all natural, 85/15, six quarter-pound patties; 1.33-pound trays of Angus steak burger all natural, 85/15, extra thick, 4 1/3-pound patties; 2 1/4-pound trays of 73/27 all-natural ground beef; and 5 1/2-pound trays of 73/27 all-natural ground beef.”

Casino comments:
Although it is probably true at this late date that most casino revenue will come from within a fairly small radius that does not necessarily mean zero-sum as the WSJ claims. Mush of this money is currently leaving the area and going to Oklahoma, Topeka of Kansas City. If it can be kept in Sedgwick County and Kansas that would be preferable to it going away.
What I would be interested in knowing is ‘will this actually lead to an increase in gambling?’ My guess here is NO but I have nothing to back up my guess.
Therefore, I do not see a local casino causing harm (people gamble anyway) but it might at least keep the revenues local.
Hello, sports fans!
I’m starting a weekday column on this blog called
“The Bush Family Evil Empire: Scandal Du Jour”
War Profiteering? You Bet!
“The most common signs of Iraq’s violent insurgency are four-meter-high blast walls that ring military bases and government buildings throughout the country.
“For the ‘77 Group’ company in Irbil, making and transporting these barriers has been lucrative. Group Executive Hersh Al-Tayyar says the company’s net worth has grown from about $400,000 in 2003, to $300 million today. Al-Tayyar says over the years it has been awarded $1 billion in U.S. military contracts. He says that while he hopes for peace in Iraq, the war has been profitable.
“He says for some businesses, dangerous situations mean more profit and peace means less. He says his group has learned how to operate in Iraq’s current dangerous situation.”
http://www.voanews.com/english/2007-06-10-voa20.cfm
We should have overthrown Saddam by simply paying every Iraq family 50,000 dollars to oppose him.
That’s about what our cost in Iraq has been so far–half a TRILLION dollars for a country of 36 million people.
Well, 36 million before ten percent of them (and counting) fled “freedom.”
But that 500 billion of course doesn’t count medical care for the 30 some thousand severely wounded vets who will need on-going medical care . . .
Instead, Bush just bestows huge contracts on cronies and donors.
This has been “The Bush Family Evil Empire: Scandal Du Jour.”
Okay CapnAmerica-
i admit this this monday, and my brain stays in a fog for a few hours, but i have a few quesitons
1) How is this company tied to Bush
2) How much should they be paid instead of what they are getting
3) Where is the scandal?
Thanks, and the “we shouldn;t be there to start with is not really an answer to any of the above.
Uh Capt,
Shouldn’t it be scandal du semaine?
Just wondering,
Hank
Actually, no, Hank–it should be scandal du heure, but I can’t post that often.
You’ll get a new scandal tomorrow.
LJ–
American taxpayers should not be making foreign nationals rich. We’ve paid over 1 billion dollars to this company. It should be done by the military so we know it’s done our way and where the money is going.
Capn-
Maybe. But I still don;t see the scandal. We have paid a local company to do very hazardous work. Seems okay to me. If we paid an American company, would you still declare that a scandal? Because of some “connection”.But again, maybe our military should be doing it. We do have the capabilities, i am unsure of the manpower. But it just seems to me that would be less likely a mission than military type actions.Security and the removal of bad guys. That is really what the military does. the Constructive segment was traditionally used to support the fighters.
Capt.
First you say “weekly column”. Then you say another “tomorrow”. I think that maybe it should be ’scandale seulemant a l’occasion’ if you are not going to keep a schedule we can count on.
Hank
MSNBC is just now reporting that a Federal appeals court has ruled that the President does _not_ have the power to indefinitely detain “enemy combatants.” This will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
My bet: More stonewalling by the Administration.
Hank
Re-read my original post and see if you can spot your error.
I’m betting you can.
Good luck.
Off the subject a little but something we can actually do something about today:
http://www.forthecause.us/media/ftc-video-CNN-AmnestyBillsWorstProvisions_070523.wmv
This from the favorite channel of the libs should make every one of us, liberal or conservative, mad enough to write, phone or scream at our congressmen, senators and party heads. This is a bill out of control and being pushed hard. Take action now before our country is given away, one big chunk at a time.
And remember, the bill germie is screaming about was brought to you by president bush and the republican compromise in congress.
As you always point out, the dems cant do anything without the repubs.
And did I mention that the bill germie hates has the FULL support and blessing of her preznit?
My computer here at work will not play videos generally and has no sound card. Could someone explain the video linked to?
Farmie the bill is called the Kennedy/McCain bill. My prez is backing it and he has heard from me as well as from many others that I have shown this bills provisions to. Get a grip farmie.
Littlejohn it shows the most outrageous parts of the bill including, no background checks for illegals, amnesty for know gang members (this is estimated to be over 30,000), no blocking those who have been deported, they would step in line in front of those waiting legally, I could go on but it is a truly horrible bill whether Bush is supporting it or not.
I have contacted our senators and congressmen. Brownback who was previously for it, voted against it on Thursday, Pat Roberts has always been against it. I got a canned message at Tiahrts office so don’t know his position on it.
“An immigration plan proposed by Senators Mel Martinez (R-FL) and Chuck Hagel (R-NE), the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (CIRA, S. 2611) would provide amnesty to 9 to 10 million illegal immigrants and put them on a path to citizenship. Once these individuals become citizens, the net additional cost to the federal government of benefits for these individuals will be around $16 billion per year. Further, once an illegal immigrant becomes a citizen, he has the right to bring his parents to live in the U.S. The parents, in turn, may become citizens. The long-term cost of government benefits to the parents of 10 million recipients of amnesty could be $30 billion per year or more. In the long run, S. 2611, if enacted, would be the largest expansion of the welfare state in 35 years.”
http://www.heritage.org/Research/Immigration/bg1936.cfm
This is from a good article about this bill and other similar bills. Every American should educate them about this sham bill.
Remember, if you are against the immigration bill, you are un-American according to George W Bush…………………..
As a conservative Republican, I am Un-George W. Bush.
Applause, LJ, mucho applause.
Jeez, using a term like “mucho” might have been misconstrued.
‘The wrath of 2007: America’s great drought’http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/article2643033.ece“America is facing its worst summer drought since the Dust Bowl years of the Great Depression. Or perhaps worse still….”A lot of people think climate change and the ecological repercussions are 50 years away,” Thomas Swetnam, an environmental scientist at the University of Arizona in Tucson, told The New York Times a few months ago. “But it’s happening now in the West. The data is telling us that we are in the middle of one of the first big indicators of climate change impacts in the continental United States.” “
The last time “amnesty” was granted for illegal emigrants that was suppose to stop this current problem with illegal immigrants from happening.
Where is that result?
If the “Dust bowl” of the 30s was happening now, we’d sat it was due to global warming?
Say
You cannot give anmesty to illegals. We should tighten the borders….deport the illegals that are here. Let their US born children stay or go, and punish the employers that employ them. Then you can start working on the system that grants entry into the country.
Maybe Ed. Part of the “dust bowl” problem was created not only by extended periods of drought, but also by farming practices at the time.
You know, the practices that did nothing to conserve water and everything to waste it?
Now days, we practice conservation techniques to keep the moisture on or in our soil as long as possible.
And that is what creates a new problem with rivers and surface water. More farming conservation, less run off. Less water in rivers and lakes.
Of course, it doesnt help matters that governor leadership and other big ag indentured servants actually encourage big farmers to pump the hell out of the aquifer and give away huge amounts of water for ethanol plants that only serve big corn and big irrigation.
This time, with extended overuse of the underground water resources, coupled with surface water conservation farming, the drought will have differenct consequenses.
And you cant deny, that we are experiencing the very weather patterns that the climate change folks predicted.
Less rain. More rain at one time and in downpours. Higher temperatures. Shifting of the seasons. etc.
just a question,Ksfarmgrrl do you trashfrarm?
Found it, sorry my bad.
What a ‘grand etron’ I turned out to be!
Hank
One big difference between the Dust Bowl and today is that today we are seeing effects over a much larger area. Florida/Georgia are burning. Australia. Europe. etc …
A large part of the Dust Bowl on the plains was caused by specific agricultural practices that were simply not suited to a semi-arid climate regime.
trashfarm?
ok, I’m showing my ignorance. Never heard of it.
Sorry about that. A common term used in my area to describe low or no till farming. Proscribed as a method to reduce costs and more importantly, conserve water. Used by row crop farmers. Some feel it is successful, some not.
Most of the farmers out here have gone with no till and low till. Very few farm the old fashioned way. I have to say that is due largely to the surge in land cash rent as opposed to share rent. You cant afford to let cash rent land lay fallow for a year, with no income, as you do in a tillage operation.
I think anytime you can avoid tilling, it is a good thing as regards moisture, earthworms, other natural processes. I try to avoid tilling in the garden and that’s why I do so much spade work.
But ONE acre of doing that is very different than THOUSANDS of acres. Economics dictate no till. But I just dont like all the chemicals that come with it.
For food quality, not quantity, you cant beat natural farming techniques.
For food quality, not quantity, you cant beat natural farming techniques.

Well, a Judge in Georgia has voided the ten years sentence of Genarlow Wilson, who had been convicted of indecent liberties with a minor for receiving oral sex from a fifteen year old. Genarlow was 17 at the time. In a twist of logic, he would not have been charged if he had had genital sex with the girl under “Romeo and Juliet” statutes.
The law that Wilson was convicted of has been rescinded by the Georgia Legislature, but the rescincion was not retroactive.
Genarlow, an honor student and a star athlete has served 27 months in prison already.
Unfortunately, he is not being released from jail pending the State of Georgia’s appeal of the ruling.
Republicans in Georgia have resisted any attempt to have Genarlow released, despite the fact that there is no longer a law against the act for which he was convicted.
Republicans, it seems, just have a huge hang up about oral sex.
RUSH TRANSCRIPT From CBS News
REPORTER: Good evening, russ. This is only going to be to be the second time since world war that the entire 82nd Airborne will be deployed overseas. Just one more sign of how thinly stretched the arm see right now. Tonight what’s left of the 82nd Airborne flies to Kuwait on its way to Iraq for a one-year tour. For decades the 82nd Airborne has been the go-to team in a time of crisis. But now they are all deployed. The surge is in full swing, but some worry its demands could be draining America’s ability to respond to a crisis.”
WASHINGTON — The Army fell short of its recruiting goal for May, its first significant slip in two years. The active-duty Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force met or surpassed their May targets, although the Army National Guard and Air National Guard fell far short.”
Draft anyone?
Yeah Clark unless its them on the receiving end. Then its ok….just don’t tell anybody. Doesn’t help that this kid is black. Nobody from the right is going to champion this kids cause. The law did not fit the crime, and once it was rescinded they still won’t let the kid out of jail.
You can damned well bet if Genarlow was a WHITE honor student, star athlete, there would have been no prosecution.
WS.please post the link about Republicans blocking the release..
The primary opposition to the release of Genarlow Wilson is Eric Johnson, President Pro Tem of the Georgia State Senate.
The state’s Attorney General is a black Democrat, Thurbert E. Baker, but his opposition to the judge’s ruling is a question of constitutionality, not opposition per se.
It is noteworthy that the AG was endorsed by the NRA and he uses that fact in his campaign ads.
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=thompson_wright&id=2900878
One of many links.
If the crime is no longer a crime, how can anyone argue for his continued incarceration?
To clarify my comments regarding Georgia Republicans; the Georgia Legislature is controlled by the Republican and it was they who did and continue to refuse to make the change in the law – decriminalizing consensual oral sex between minors – retroactive.
??????????,
The Army fell short of it’s goal by 400 people for one MONTH, let’s not get excited.
========================I doubt seriously if the conviction against the young lad was a partisan issue. It was most likely a racial issue, which is even worse.
However, with that said, I don’t think it was a Republican who was serving in office, when the phrase, “getting a Lewinksy” was coined. :)
Well Clark,
I’m surprised you haven’t hurt yourself twisting and bending this particular story to blame republicans.
First of all it is the republican legislature that changed the law from a felony to a misdemeaner.
Then it’s a democrat AG that has filed the appeal to the ruling freeing Wilson.
You can spin it anyway you want to but it’s a democrat that’s keeping Wilson in jail.
Hank
Yeah I noticed how Republicon left that out of his post….How Albanians loved Clinton so much for what HE did, that many kids are named Bill and Hillary.
My kids are named Bill and Hillary. 2 of them anyway. The others are named Dwight, Lyndon and Franklin!
“First of all it is the republican legislature that changed the law from a felony to a misdemeaner.”
The changed the law – true – but they didn’t make the change retroactive, knowing that Genarlow Wilson would have to serve his full sentence, Mr. Price.
That legislature was and is controlled by the Republicans.
The law was ridiculous – oral sex between minors being a felony and genital sex being a misdemeanor. The lege could have made this issue go away, they chose not to when they decided against making the change in the law retroactive.
The Democratic AG opposed the judge’s ruling on constitutional grounds – not because he wanted to see Wilson incarcerated.
Many people in BOTH parties, and nationwide seem to have a problem with teens, oral sex, or consensual genital sex… We are still a bunch of uptight victorians, I guess!!
kev, I didn’t leave anything out, I posted the story as written. I didn’t write the story.
Seems that the government wants to have full control… even over the urge to merge… Remember that case a few years back, where the boy was over age, but the girl was under age?? She got pregnant… They went to Nebraska, where they could legally get married… They came back to kansass, and AG Kline had the boy arrested and jailed, even though they were married!!
Just a bunch of nit pickin law makers afraid they will lose control!!
Guantanamo Prison was set up for several reasons. It is a tight security base, surround by water and the only means of escape is into the hands of Castro’s wonderland.
Anything else is left to vivid imaginations and unsubstantiated accusations.
But what else do you expect from a party of Democrats who make up facts first and then try to prove these non-facts.
Sort of like the Gonzales case.
They ain’t got nothing. :)
Chas,
You got that case backwards. They were from Nebraska, and came to Kansas because state law here allowed girls as young as 12 to get married, so long as at least one parent gave permission. It was the state of Nebraska that prosecuted and jailed the man involved.
The Kansas legislature changed the marriage law last year; I think to 16, but I don’t recall. KS Rep Bonnie Huy was stupid enough to vote against it; she thought 12 year olds should be allowed to get married. (No joke here, folks). That’s one of the votes that cost her her seat last year.
“There is no express grant of habeas in the Constitution.” – United States Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, in sworn testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, January 17, 2007.
OK Thanks Tom… I thought it was the other way around, but that makes more sense… Thanks!!
That statement by Gonzales should possibly be the NUMBER ONE REASON why he needs to be done… If the Attorney General of the United States doesnt even know one of the foundational laws of the Constitution, he needs his butt retired… Except, that his President apparently agrees with him… LOL
Ok, Tom, then which one of the under age cases did Kline go after that was equally as stupid?? I was working in Nebraska then, and the Nebraskans about ate his lunch over one dumb case he went after…
Instead of legislatures trying to mandate morality, they should be focused on preventing pregnancies and the spread of disease. Unfortunately, they often seem to think that passing a law will end the problem, but usually the reverse is true.
We’re not talking about murder here – we’re talking about kids doing what kids do.
What galls me is the hypocrisy. Freddie Legislator probably bragged to all his friends the first time he rounded third and headed for home, but now he wants it to be illegal for everyone else.
They need to take a serious grow up pill and direct their attention to more serious issues.
Chas,
Kline was trying to make a case that any sexual contact between teens under the age of 16 was evidence of a crime. It was all part of his medical records inquisition that he had tried to keep secret, but the abortion clinics forced into open court.
The arguments turned absolutely ridiculous when he testified in Federal court that fellatio between 15 year olds was legal, but cunnilingus between the same two teens would be a crime.
Of course, we see how well that argument worked for Phill.
“but cunnilingus between the same two teens would be a crime”
I bet I can figure out who receives oral sex in the Kline bedroom…….
WS, exactly! That testimony by Kline revealed to many just how much of a misogynistic pig he is. It’s okay for him to lay back and get some, but returning the favor to the woman? NO WAY!!!
Who says it would be a favor?:)
“I bet I can figure out who receives oral sex in the Kline bedroom…”
LOL. And who doesn’t.
Soft-on-predators Monroe County Superior Judge Thomas Wilson on Monday ordered Ganarlow Wilson, who had been caught on video at age 17, along with 4 other gang rapists, raping and sodomizing a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old girl who were fed booze and dope at a “party”, freed from his 10-year sentence handed down 2 years ago. The leftist, activist judge also amended his felony conviction to a misdemeanor, so that the predator does not have to register as a sex offender while he is turned loose on the local community.William the Slick’s legacy lives on in Georgia – the morals of rutting hogs being upheld in open criminal court.
Snarky,
YOU receive sex in the Kline bedroom? Other people do too?? What’s with that? How come I didn’t know about this?
Dr. Paul McHugh, of Boston, MA, the leading witness against abortionist quack George R. Tiller, broke his six months of silence Monday by granting an on camera interview arranged by Women Influencing America. In his opinion, the abortion records used as evidence against Tiller were inadequate for a psychiatric diagnosis to support a mental health exception for post-viable abortions, and nothing indicated any substantial and irreversible risk in the pregnancies to justify any post-viable abortions. [Tiller is a quack, with no formal medical certification, with not even a board-certified OB/GYN, with no qualification whatsoever to diagnose any mental problems, while his abortion mill butchery CAUSES severe mental health problems for years in mothers.]In short – viable babies were illegally killed for convenience in Tiller’s abortion mill, without any legal justification.AG Paul Morrison’s dragged-out “investigation” has never even contacted Dr. McHugh, the leading expert medical witness in the case.Dr. McHugh will be involved in a panel discussion, hosted by Women Influencing America, on June 12, at the Double Tree Hotel, Overland Park Kansas at 7:00pm. Members of the media and the public are invited to attend. McHugh will be available to answer question from members of the audience.
“who had been caught on video at age 17, along with 4 other gang rapists, raping and sodomizing”
Genarlow Wilson was acquitted of rape, the sex was ruled consensual. The fifteen year old performed oral sex on several young men, voluntarily, by her own admission. The girl that had consensual sex also admitted that she was not raped.
Where is the crime?
By the way, the judge didn’t reduce the crime to a misdemeanor, the Republican State Legislature of Georgia did.
Parkay is a liar, plain and simple. Dr Tiller’s medical qualifications can be found here:
http://drtiller.com/medir.html
Blow it out your fleetwood, Parkay.
Tiller is an embarassment to the medical community..I’ve never met anyone in my profession who respects him.
The Army fell short of it’s goal by 400 people for one MONTH, let’s not get excited.
——————————–There will come a time when enough people will not enlist if this occupation continues, plus there is always Iran.
Yes, Parkay fills his little posts with lies, the nuts just lap it up.
The doctor he cites is strongly anti-choice. I can’t wait till he tries to explain how he can see into the future on how the women weren’t sick enough, and diagnose these women without even seeing them. Remember the last time a doc publically tried to diagnose a woman by secondary info? Terry Schiavo anyone?
Of course, this would end up forcing the women to come to court and give up their medical privacy. Something the anti-women groups wants to happen.
The end result will be this…the women who need abortions now won’t come forward, they’ll be too afraid of being hauled into court and their medical information given away to these whackjobs. Bad for mom and bad for baby. Way to go culture of lifers.
Good points, P Mom, well said. I do find it disconcerting that those most opposed to abortion are those also most opposed to comprehensive sex education and the free availability of condoms.
Safe, legal and rare. That can be a reality if folks would just get off their high horses and join the reality based world.
Not to change the subject, but I lodged the following anti-Ken Landwehr affirmation on the BTK-backpatting thread, and I offer it up here for public consumption:
“Lt. Ken Landwehr couldn’t investigate his way out of a paper sack. When my friend was murdered back in 2003, and the killer “sent a letter” to the media, although it was apparent that his ex wife had motive (my friend had won a family court victory against her less than two weeks prior) and that the “boyfriend” was just a patsy, a disturbed soul who was willing to kill for some hope of love and disgruntled due to being laid off from Bombardier some weeks before, Lt. Landwehr said that there was no indication that the ex was involved. Nobody did any forensics to determine whether Eric Leckenby had himself written the letter, or whether it was the product of a prolific letter writer, the ex-wife, who had written a pastle of letters to state senators and representatives about the state of child custody affairs. A good man died, the killer killed himself, but his accomplice and instigator remains free to this day with the children. Landwehr isn’t fit to clean my toilet.”
All the Eagle bloviation and the WPD backpatting serves two purposes: Profit and self-aggrandizement. Landwehr is an idiot.
Want to know something funny? I just checked the forums, and although I haven’t posted over there in eternity, they’re STILL talking about me. Should I worry that they’re misrepresenting my views? Naw, that board is nothing but trolls anyway.
That board is a good example of how trolls run off everyone. I wish the WE staff would take it over and moderate it. Could have been a good board- where we choose the topics.
I hear you, PMom… I had a “chilling effect” on the BTK article comments when I went against the whole “We Rule!” argument. Although, I give crap nada what anyone thinks about me. I’m just a humble public servant with an internet connection.
This is a posting to all Sedgwick County Kansas residents to inform you that apparently Timothy Givan,Attorney, who worked for the Kansas SRS is no longer employed with the Kansas SRS…perhaps some of his conduct and actions were found to be “spurious & groundless!”
Main Entry: spu·ri·ousPronunciation: ’spyur-E-&sFunction: adjectiveEtymology: Late Latin & Latin; Late Latin spurius false, from Latin, of illegitimate birth, from spurius, noun, bastard
1 : of illegitimate birth : BASTARD
2 : outwardly similar or corresponding to something without having its genuine qualities : FALSE
3 a : of falsified or erroneously attributed origin : FORGED b : of a deceitful nature or quality- spu·ri·ous·ly adverb- spu·ri·ous·ness noun
Or maybe he got a better job . . . that’s why they call it the free market.
WS,”I bet I can figure out who receives oral sex in the Kline bedroom…….”
Wouldn’t bet too much if I were you. It doesn’t indicate who receives oral sex, just who fantasizes about receiving it. I just hope Morrisson had the underside of Kline’s desk sterilized before sitting down.
Yes perhaps Givan did get another job,no matter what the reason he is no longer with the Kansas SRS,and this is positive for anyone who deals with the Kansas SRS.
I may have spoke in haste, certainly the Kansas SRS would not care if any attorney was “spurious & groundless”…it is the very fabric of this state agency.
I wanted to submit a posting about the lengthy ordeal with Sedgwick County. The ordeal I have endured has drawn to a close in my favor. The entire matter and the fight with corruption from this county lasted nearly nine years.
During the many months that passed an occasional blogger would make a negative statement towards me concerning these issues.
I understand it is hard to fathom that people sworn to uphold the law, would abandon these oaths and do wrongful acts..unfortunately that is exactly what happened.
I used to believe years ago that if a government official understood that something was incorrect or falsely sworn it would be corrected. I know I will never be that naive again.
I hope no one who has ever written on these blogs about any subject ever has to bear the arrogance, disdain, and inappropriate conduct from these persons.
I am glad to have prevailed, but the reality is the situation should never have happened at all. My hope for everyone in this blog sphere is that it never happens to them or their family.
