Not sure how Sam Brownback’s penchant for bipartisan partnerships helps him in the GOP presidential primaries, but it’s getting him mentioned. This time, he’s co-sponsoring the Iran Sanctions Enabling Act, meant to put economic pressure on Iran’s government, with Illinois Democrat Barack Obama. This odd couple also have worked well together on issues concerning Africa, including the genocide in Darfur.

They’ve worked together on Darfur? To help cause it or stop it? It sure as heck isn’t stopped yet, so curious to hear more about how these 2 worked together on Darfur.
Sounds like a post to legitamize Obama and make him seem conservative by paring him with Brownback. A simple review of Obama’s voting record shows that he’s about as far left of a socialist as you can possibly find.
As for Brownback, he’s irrelevent.
Brownback WISHES he was on the same team as Sen. Obama.
Brownback is NOT irrelevant. He will decide to run as an independent and take the 28% of the hard right Christian vote that the Republicans desperately need to hold on to power.
Its the end of Republican greed, corruption, and corporate welfare.
Odd couple anyone?
Sam Brownback, the Ralph Nader of the right.
Sweet justice
Well, Brownback is “clean and articulate” and his parallel political buddy Obama is well, you know…
