‘Bimbos of Apocalypse’ need more humiliation

Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are role models for many young women around the globe. But as columnist Karen Heller noted on Tuesday’s Opinion pages, it’s unclear "why lovely girls want to mimic vapid strumpets whose greatest talents are for trashy behavior, tabloid portraiture, rehab and perp walks."
On Sunday night at the MTV Movie Awards, host and comedian Sarah Silverman laid the humiliation on Hilton. Shortly after the ceremony, Hilton checked in early for her jail sentence. Maybe more public humiliation is what these bimbos need.

These girls will never be happy until they decide to grow up.

I don’t know; humiliation for these girls is still a form of attention, and they’re addicted to attention. What they really need is to be totally ignored until they actually do something of value. Unfortunately, that’s not likely to happen.

They only have on average a few more years of prime time. Then the sagging skin, extra fat and wrinkles will lower their “standards” on how they should react to life.

Hey, now! Even the young air-head spoiled bimbos of the ‘Don’t Make Me Responsible’ generation need role models. Who better than the rich and famous trio of Lindsay, Britney and Paris?

Look at the lead story in the Eagle just the other day, Andie.

Look at how the socio-political sphere has attempted to demonize independent, strong women (”feminazis”).

This has nothing to do with male or female. It has everything to do with seeking publicity for doing idiotic things.

Regardless, the actions of a few idiots shouldn’t reflect on my entire generation.

Sorry bimbo, but it’s not just “the actions of a few idiots”. A major portion of your generation act like they’re a few bricks shy of a load. That said, your generation isn’t much different than any other recent generation. You just need a little seasoning/maturity/experience. I’m confident yours will be a productive generation given some time (and age).

I am part of “your generation” and I just want to remind you that it is MY GENERATION that is fighting everyday in Iraq and other places all over this world. A “major portion” of my generation does NOT fall into the category of Paris, Britney and Lindsay. A lot of us have good paying jobs and are making our contributions to society as a whole. It is sad that you would place such a stigma on all of us due to the actions of these attention drivin bimbos.

    Good post, MyGen.

That’s the problem with the simple-minded world-view of the right-wing: it’s all about “personal responsibility” and nothing about the SOCIETY that clearly rewards these young women for their so-called scandalous behavior.

If we weren’t watching their every move and paying for the priviledge, they wouldn’t be doing it.

But that’s the REAL “personal responsibility.” It’s much easier just to blame the girls . . .

XXX,Let me say again, self righteous baby boomers make me laugh. I see a few brick short of a full load when I see my parents old high school friends that were taken in by the drug culture of the seventies and are now brain dead.

Me? Just graduated on dean’s list, and landed a very good job thanks to persistant interviewing and persuing.

But don’t worry. The baby boomer generation will be very productive at some point…. I’m sure. Really. One of these days…

So Paris is out and home wearing a souvenir ankle bracelet. Gee it must be nice to be too rich and too thin!

I wonder who she had to “do” to get out? That is Paris’ claim to fame, isn’t it? That, and money – just goes to show you being white trash has nothing to do with dollars.

It sure as hell isn’t talent, accomplishment, or beauty. At least I don’t consider skin-bony and slutty particularly attractive.

    But what do I know . . . .

I guess I don’t understand why some judge wouldn’t jump at the chance to keep her locked up; making an example of her and pointing out that at least he or she is not influence by money or celebrity. Seems to me it would look good for the judge.

Actually Tom, no, but nice try.

I have nothing against baby boomers. I’m just saying it’s just as idiotic to judge them (you perhaps) as an entire generation as it is to judge my generation.

Gotta agree with you on that one, GMC! If Paris Hilton is what passes for attractive these days, I am damned glad that I am old.

Wooooooo! Never. Not in a million years.

Damn. I think I need a shower just thinking about it – and not a cold one either.

So she’s out on a medical condition. Shouldn’t she be released to prison hospital then? Or is the medical condition related to withdrawal syndrome, such as maybe she has a “rum AND coke” habit that is left unfilled in the big house?

Bimbo,(And Bimbo is actually the family name of a tribe of American Gypsies), I’ve watched the sordid antics of Princess Anne, Twiggy, Kate Moss, and of course Madonna, along with countless lesser liberteens. Paris, Lindsay and Britney are no different, they just have better publicists!I of course might be interested in seeing if they have other talents than being spoiled brats. I intrigued by the fact that they are so very good at being spoiled brats. It gives me hope that rather than being the Queens of Vapid City forever, they will find other, more useful things they can be.

one could easily make the argument that blogging anything about Paris Hilton is trashy behavior. She is known only because people like Angie waiste our time and their time getting her name out there.

Come on Angie. If you are going to dish on someone…we are talking real trashy behavior…go after some real sleaze…like Dick Cheney or George Bush…or even Senator Pat Roberts. There is so much trash going on and people are dying from their behavior.

As far as Paris. Her mistakes have had hurt no one but her self.

    Angie:

Our Vice President has had several DUI’s. He is a draft dodger. As well as our President. He is evern rumored to have done cocaine at camp david while his dad was President. He has had a lifetime of abuse problems both drugs and alcohol. He is also a draft dodger, and everhthing he has ever touched is a failure. Much like Paris Hilton, he is from spoiled and rich background, yet his mistakes as well as Dick Cheneys have destroyed our country.

Bush will even be here in this town on Friday.

So write this blog for him. Write about the public humiliation he should feel for even setting foot in this town to raise zillions for Senator Pat Roberts.
