The Internet can be a threatening place for women, according to a Washington Post article, which found many women reporting online harassment and sexual threats.
In response, “women have censored themselves, turned to private forums or closed comments on blogs. Many use gender-neutral pseudonyms. Some just gut it out. But the effect of repeated harassment, bloggers and experts interviewed said, is to make women reluctant to participate online — undercutting the promise of the Internet as an egalitarian forum.”

I don’t think women have any more problems than anyone else on the net when it come to posting on blogs.
Men probably make more sexually-oriented comments, but that’s true in real life, too.
Interestingly enough, on this forum, folks have ‘met’ occasionally, and there are a couple of females here – that are more relentless towards some males than vice versa.
Anonymity is key. Meet-ups are silly, a danger, and will likely result in a lawsuit against the Eagle at some point from promoting them against all the commonsense warnings out there, when one of the tin-hat club ends up harassing another member because they now know their identity.
But that’s just my opinion.
If you never have try going to a chat room or even one of the web cam sites. G is right in that women often have to either stop all together or put up with tons of sexual remarks. But yes in general women on line often have more harassment to deal with then men. It is part of the internet anonymity, people saying things that would not normally say in person. Which of course is true of any forum where people interact on the net. It even plays a part on the blog here, we often come across different then we do in a face to face encounter.
I do disagree with you G on the meet-ups, I have seen changes between people at least for a short time. After meet the person behind that screen name, you find them to be human beings and not slobbering, mad hatters. PMom and KGN is a good example in that once they met at the last meet-up, there was a civility developed between them. At least to the point that they agree to disagree and the personal attacks slow and stopped.
But then the opposite is true too, with the anonymity some find a voice they would not normally find.It is a plus-minus thing as to being on the net, I am still studying this aspect right now the whole thing is still falls into the saying of Bull Shannon of “Night Court” Will I understand it when I grow up?But the hardest thing for a woman is if she TRULY only wants to talk, right or wrong a good number of the women that go into a chat room or on a web cam are there for the sexual content.
Of course this is a argument that I have gotten into more times then I can count. NO I am not saying that every woman want to be sexually insulted. But I do get the feeling a lot of it is a control thing. OMG I need to stop as suddenly I am tasting my foot!
A large part of it depends on the chat room people go to. I met my wife online in a chat room..and we have been very happily married for a few years now.
It isn’t all bad…and it isn’t just women that get harassed, insulted or treated poorly. Like most things, there are more sides to this story than the one the media highlights.
This article is most assuredly true.
Just look at how the editors’ photos are commented on by the reich-wingers as to who is and is not “MILF”y.
GSheridan doesn’t have a problem because she’s one of them. If she were on the other side, she would be called . . . well, she would be called all the things they call P-Mom and FrmGrrl.
Capn…is there ANYTHING that isn’t a political war to you? This thread is about sexual predation/ills of some internet chat rooms..not about who voted which way in the last election.
Can’t you ever get out of your little political box and look at the world in terms that are not defined by left/right views?
“GSheridan doesn’t have a problem because she’s one of them. If she were on the other side, she would be called . . . well, she would be called all the things they call P-Mom and FrmGrrl.”—————–
The only person here that has made overtly sexual comments to me – was farmie, and even though some may disagree, I think she is included in the group called ‘females.’
The males here actually are pretty mild. Maybe because there are so many domineering females. lol
Women need to be able to stand up for themselves. Trying to peg them as wilting violets doesn’t help them one bit.
In my opinion it actually increases the attacks because the attacker sees the gal as weak – an easy mark.
I’ve never had that problem.
So sue me.
Pretty sad Capn, only 1 person says MILFY on this blog and you categorize everyone that doesn’t have the same opinion as you. Let’s see, should I say – same old tired remarks from the Commie Left.
Back in the day when the online chatrooms first started (more accurately the early 80s, late 70s) there was a term called MORF.
This MORF term stood for Male Or Female. People used to comment on the MORFers as dirty old men.
The common approach was “Name,MORF?”
There appears to be an increase of sexual predators online these days, so women can’t be too careful.
Off the flip side, there were men that pretended to be women for whatever reasons.
In the 1990s there were scammers that would start an online romance with women, move in and rob them blind of items and money.
Raptor–
“Is anything not political to you?”
Uh, actually, no, Rap.
The main reason that the reich-wing has been so successful in this country has been by making people believe that nothing is political.
“We’re the government. Don’t bother us . . . ”
Sports, soap operas, and reality shows are political.
These are the mighty distractors that get people emotionally involved in bullsh*t so that they don’t get involved in what matters in their lives: running their country.
Republican–
It was more than one.
Also, who said that men only watch women’s b-ball (during the “nappy ho-s” discussion) to watch the breast flop?
Finally, “commie” went out as a loaded word about 25 years ago. Now that even Russia isn’t communist, it just doesn’t have the same panache.
You should really get up to date with your ad homenim insults.
“Finally, “commie” went out as a loaded word about 25 years ago.”
Well, it’s back, commie.
To be called “commie” by fleettwood, the blog’s dumbest post-er, is truly an honor I don’t deserve.
Aw, shucks, fleettwood . . .
I agree Capn. It’s fleet’s way of saying “you are a member of the reality-based community”.
Republican:”Pretty sad Capn, only 1 person says MILFY on this blog and you categorize everyone that doesn’t have the same opinion as you.”
As I am recalling Republican you weren’t even around when that comment occurred. Is this an example of your famous “research”, or something else? Hmm…
“Sports, soap operas, and reality shows are political.
These are the mighty distractors that get people emotionally involved in bullsh*t so that they don’t get involved in what matters in their lives: running their country.” – Capn America
Good grief. Now I’m starting to understand you Capn. Thank you so much for telling everyone what is important in their lives.
Thank God for “distractions”. (Your life) Otherwise we could become one of these self-important political junkies who criticize people’s “distractions” and tell them what should be important in their lives.
Capn, if you really believe what you wrote, you need to get out more.
I wasn’t around in the late 70s Steven Davis? lmao…boy do you need some reading comprehension skills.
Actually, outlander, how much I “get out” is wholly irrelevant.
If we measured our presidents by how much they get out, Commander Brush-cutter and Bicycle Rider would be the hands down winner.
The idea I put forward are just a riff on this–
Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media, 1992
QUESTION: You write in Manufacturing Consent [(Pantheon, 1988)] that it’s the primary function of the mass media in the United States to mobilize public support for the special interests that dominate the government and the private sector. What are those interests?
CHOMSKY: Well, if you want to understand the way any society works, ours or any other, the first place to look is who is in a position to make the decisions that determine the way the society functions. Societies differ, but in ours, the major decisions over what happens in the society — decisions over investment and production and distribution and so on — are in the hands of a relatively concentrated network of major corporations and conglomerates and investment firms. They are also the ones who staff the major executive positions in the government. They’re the ones who own the media and they’re the ones who have to be in a position to make the decisions. They have an overwhelmingly dominant role in the way life happens. You know, what’s done in the society. Within the economic system, by law and in principle, they dominate. The control over resources and the need to satisfy their interests imposes very sharp constraints on the political system and on the ideological system.
QUESTION: When we talk about manufacturing of consent, whose consent is being manufactured?
CHOMSKY: To start with, there are two different groups, we can get into more detail, but at the first level of approximation, there’s two targets for propaganda. One is what’s sometimes called the political class. There’s maybe twenty percent of the population which is relatively educated, more or less articulate, plays some kind of role in decision-making. They’re supposed to sort of participate in social life — either as managers, or cultural managers like teachers and writers and so on. They’re supposed to vote, they’re supposed to play some role in the way economic and political and cultural life goes on. Now their consent is crucial. So that’s one group that has to be deeply indoctrinated. Then there’s maybe eighty percent of the population whose main function is to follow orders and not think, and not to pay attention to anything — and they’re the ones who usually pay the costs.
. . . .
Take, say, sports — that’s another crucial example of the indoctrination system, in my view. For one thing because it — you know, it offers people something to pay attention to that’s of no importance. [audience laughs] That keeps them from worrying about — [applause] keeps them from worrying about things that matter to their lives that they might have some idea of doing something about. And in fact it’s striking to see the intelligence that’s used by ordinary people in [discussions of] sports [as opposed to political and social issues]. I mean, you listen to radio stations where people call in — they have the most exotic information [more laughter] and understanding about all kind of arcane issues. And the press undoubtedly does a lot with this.
You know, I remember in high school, already I was pretty old. I suddenly asked myself at one point, why do I care if my high school team wins the football game? [laughter] I mean, I don’t know anybody on the team, you know? [audience roars] I mean, they have nothing to do with me, I mean, why I am cheering for my team? It doesn’t mean any — it doesn’t make sense. But the point is, it does make sense: it’s a way of building up irrational attitudes of submission to authority, and group cohesion behind leadership elements — in fact, it’s training in irrational jingoism. That’s also a feature of competitive sports. I think if you look closely at these things, I think, typically, they do have functions, and that’s why energy is devoted to supporting them and creating a basis for them and advertisers are willing to pay for them and so on.

Speaking of commies, who give a shit what chomsky has to say?
DING DING DING!!!
WE HAVE A WINNER, FOLKS!!
Nicely done, Steven D.
Republican was still JM when the MILFY term was being thrown around by the reich-wingers.
Check this:
Brewer’s wife is white? Is she MILFY?

Republican is so busted once again.
A name switching troll who lies about it.
Case further closed.
Fleettwood–
Only the people bright enough to understand him.
So that clearly eliminates you.
Keep listening to Rush though, the former welfare receipient who went deaf from abusing morphine . . .
“…the former welfare receipient who went deaf from abusing morphine . . .”
Sounds a lot like the voter base of you people.
Oops, sorry, posted this on the wrong thread.
heheheheheh. I recall golfnutz, fleetie, SOB, and republican all making MILFY comments. Not only about Patrice, but about my picture as well.
The ultimate put down for women. Dismiss their minds and abilities with a comment on their looks.
It’s even sadder when women do it to themselves or each other.
When GS comments on me “setting my moustach on fire” or “even though some may disagree, I think she is included in the group called ‘females.’”
Like I said before, if you run out of intellectual ammunition, you can always go after a woman’s looks!I guess somehow GS commenting on me being “chinless” heheheheh, somehow puts me in my place and negates my comments?
heheheheheheheheheeheheheheheheheh!
Whatever… I’ve come to expect it. And if you will notice, it doesnt stop me from posting!
Most people Capn are “distracted” with things like earning a living, or supporting their church, taking their kids on a camping trip, etc.. to worry that much about politics. Real life things. And they deserve their distractions. Except most of the reality shows. No one deserves those.
Frankly, most people’s lives are not affected much by what political party is in control. That is the answer, BTW to that guy that asked; “what’s the matter with Kansas. We know from experience that politics generally make little difference in our lives. What know that what can make a difference is what is inside us. Our individual efforts in our own lives can make a much greater difference than which crooked politician we support.
The exception is when we have an overarching issue. We have one now with Iraq and the “war on terr…er Islamic nut cases”.
Politics has it’s place. And it shouldn’t be depended upon to make one’s life better.
Well outie, when we put our fingers in our ears and sing “lalalalalalalal”….
….we get the government we deserve! Just like we have now. You folks voted for him, and now you have to wear him like a dead chicken tied around your neck.
And government VERY MUCH affects my daily life. Every day I am not part of my partner’s health insurance, every day I have no access to “survivor” benefits with social security, every time I pay a lawyer to draw up a document that married people dont need…
… the government and politics affects my daily life.
I guess if you are a straight, white male christian, the government INDEED makes life better for you.
I’m trying to stop the government from it’s daily task of making life WORSE for me. I certainly dont trust the government to something good for me. Nor do I think government is the answer. No sir, it is the PROBLEM, not the answer.
And as long as France has a 75% turnout of voters while the us weakly manages to be below 50%, government WILL make life worse, not better.
That’s why us “liberals” want smaller government than the cons. No matter how you spin it.
Chomsky said it, so it is fact? Sorry, Capn, I don’t buy into your vast conspiracy theory. Just because everything on the planet isn’t perfect doesn’t mean there are thousands of people out to ‘get you’.
Do you REALLY believe this stuff that sports is a government plot to control people?
Yes, you do need to get out more, Capn. Go to Botanica and enjoy the flowers. Go to the Art Museum and appreciate the artists’ efforts. Take an afternoon and sit in Riverside Park. Or does your paranoia suggest that these are all plots to control you as well?
Sad. very, very sad.
ksfarmgrrl,
In-frickin’-deed. How soon they forget their own right-wing locker room mentality as soon as it’s been uttered. I still recall when KSGolfnut/SOB asked me why I had “been with a black chick.” And as you correctly recall, there was that whole juvenile round of MIFY nonsense with Republican/Eier/JM/SOB, KSGolfnut/SOB, and fleetwood.
Dear aforementioned Right Wing dudes: have you ever even KISSED a girl? To listen to you objectify women, someone might think you have something to hide.
And then there’s GSheridan who I dimly recall reponding to various sexual innuendoes and come-ons in a would-be seductive manner that was horrifying yet fascinating to watch.
Outlander,
I must side with my liberal brethren: EVERYTHING is political. This place especially and always.
MILFY is a term that has been used on the Internet for a long time Capn. You and ksfrmgrrl seem to have an obsession on who people are.
So, I’m ksgolfnut or something like that now eh? Interesting, last week I was someone named James Macklin. Before that it was someone named JM/Eier. Then it was someone (forgot the name) that wrote something about his kids IQ.
There is no doubt the Liberal Left thrive on conspiracy. They even try to make a conspiracy out of who I am.
Keep going, I may get assigned up to 100 different names if I’m lucky.
Care for a little cheese to go with that whine?
Republican,
Well, when you lie serially, it’s no surprise that folks catch on eventually. And, when caught in your lies, all Right Wingers like you have to fall back on is “conspiracy theory!”
***********************************
This has been another episode of “Who Are You Gonna Believe: Me or Your Lyin’ Eyes?”
Listen to Republican back-track.
“MILFY has been around for a long time.”
Indeed it has, Repub, so why did you say as fact that only ONE post-er has ever used it here?
The MILFY debate was a big deal a few months before YOU CLAIM TO HAVE STARTED POSTING, yet you speak on it as if you know all about it.
So which is it, “Republican”? Did you lie when you said you’d never used another nic? Or did you lie when you said only one person used the term without knowing how many used the term?
Or both?
Please don’t bother to answer.
You’ve been caught in a lie–again–and you’ll just lie to cover your lie.
Save it.
A lie? Only person that I remember using the term is Fleetwood asking about someone, forgot who.
So pathetic of trying to figure out who I am. Like that is important or something.
Heheheh capn. Busting JM in a lie is as easy as fielding pop flies in the infield. Just open your glove and they fall right in!
Raptor & outlander:
Don’t take the cheap way out. Your low opinion of me does not defeat my argument:
Everything is political.
You can’t take your kids to a ball game if you don’t get time off.
And who got you time off? Union organizers.
You can’t take your kids to your church if you have to take them to the government-sanctioned church.
And who made sure there was NO gov’t sanctioned church? Politicians.
You can’t take your kids to the park if there is no park.
Who made sure you have park space instead of wall-to-wall Walmarts?
Liberals.
You people that think you can run your life independent of everyone else’s are caught in horribly disempowering myth: that what you do or don’t do has no influence on anyone else.
Because of people like you who want to outsource politics to politicans, we have a society for corporations, by corporations, and of corporations . . .
*****
And btw, I “get out” plenty. I played guitar and sang at an open mike just last Saturday. I go fishing, hunting, target shoot, play chess, have a “film club,” and spoke at a colleague’s retirement dinner Friday.
“It’s even sadder when women do it to themselves or each other.”
——-
LOL – Ditto the ‘double bagger’ comments.
“And then there’s GSheridan who I dimly recall reponding to various sexual innuendoes and come-ons in a would-be seductive manner that was horrifying yet fascinating to watch.”———–
ROFLMAO
If responding to farmie’s sexual comments by insinuating she needed to wax her mustache turned you on – you’re too far gone to salvage.
Are you sure you aren’t just salivating over the visual images brought to you by farmie?
You’re a hoot – pathetic, certainly – but a hoot.
“And btw, I “get out” plenty. I played guitar and sang at an open mike just last Saturday. I go fishing, hunting, target shoot, play chess, have a “film club,” and spoke at a colleague’s retirement dinner Friday.”———-
Whad’ya sing? Kum-by-ah?
A ‘film club?’ Is that where folks scrape each other’s teeth to see what they can rustle up?
Capn…you continue to amaze me. You castigate others for switching nics based solely on similarities of words used, yet you have changed your nic multiple times.
You attack others for quoting “biased” sources like Fox News, yet you quote an incredibly biased source above.
Why do you feel you can belittle others for the actions you engage in yourself? Now, before you get all pumped up and start spewing invective, realize the truth in this. I never claimed you tried to hide behind different nics, but you have changed several times. True?
And no, I do not follow your logic or lack thereof. For example, there are baseball games on weekends. And, what rational is there behind the statement of:
“You can’t take your kids to your church if you have to take them to the government-sanctioned church.”
Do government sanctioned churches deny access to children?
Women are targeted more than men online. There is NO question. Go into a chatroom just once and see how many you get. But it isn’t just chatrooms.
Asking for and demanding respect and equality is NEVER acting as a wilting flower nor a victim. Women in the USA also play into the sexualization of our own group.
The sooner we all stand together on this issue..that we are WOMEN..we are not sex toys or eye candy for the men…the sooner we will finally achieve the respect we deserve.
Right now for some reason in the job I’m working, male customers think that they can come onto me. And quite frankly I’m sick of it. Here is a hint….folks. When women are working in ANY job, it’s not your pick up bar. It is INAPPROPRIATE. And I’m not in any sort of business that should be conducive to this!
PM – women from the dawn of time have had men make advances – it’s just the nature of the beast.
I know it must be frustrating for you -but part of your job is being gracious, and, sadly, some men mistake that for an open invitation.
I will usually be very kind and say something like, “I’m sorry if I’ve given you the wrong impression – I’m very happily married.” Then I try to nicely change the subject to allow them to save face.
IF they get boisterous – which is rare – you may need to be more blunt, but at any rate, if you exude self-confidence they will likely accept your explanation graciously.
GSheridan,
Sounds like somebody’s factual observations made somebody else more than a little uncomfortable. Hence the attempt to be breezily dismissive that came across as more than a little strained.
It also sounds like high time for CF2K to do a little bonedig to show that the comments sexualizing GSheridan, to which she responded positivley and seductively, didn’t come from ksfarmgrrl, but from someone else.
Your attempt to insult me by simultaneously trying to demean and to sexualize ksfarmgrrl shows a rather developed sensibility for a thirteen-year old such as yourself. As I wrote last week, GSheridan, you truly do treat yourself as someone who has no class.
“It also sounds like high time for CF2K to do a little bonedig to show that the comments sexualizing GSheridan, to which she responded positivley and seductively, didn’t come from ksfarmgrrl, but from someone else.”———-
I fear you’re going to end up being disappointed there, old bud.
But knock yourself out. Far be it from me to try and keep you from fostering your delusions.
And talk about classless – try looking in a mirror.
That is – if you have any that aren’t cracked from earlier attempts.
lol
BTW – why do you address yourself in Third Person?
Don’t you know that’s a sign of a mental psychosis?
No, I will not apologize for ‘appearing’ to give the wrong impression when I did not. Being nice is my job, but it doesn’t mean I have to put up with stuff like that.
I make it quite clear when that happens that I am happily married- and at WORK. Some just don’t get the hint. And it’s not rare- usually the ones with cajones enough to try in the first place are persistent. I had one guy sit there for 20 minutes trying.
I’m so glad I took that self defense class. There have been times when I thought I might need it.
PM – if any guy kept on for 20 minutes – you should have tasered him.
That DOES cross into the unacceptable category.
Chomsky?!? You’ve got to be kidding me . . . . that’s an authorative source? There’s no agenda there . . . .
Chomsky et al thrive on conspiracy aka collusion (same animal, different name) to explain their world view. That’s the beauty of conspiracy theory, of course; the less evidence, the more it proves that indeed there is a conspiracy.
And get this: “Everything is political.” Scary. If so, it says everything about the writer. They’re not about making life “better.” It’s about control.
I doubt Capn/Galahad/etc. & CF actually believe that; I suspect they’re simply overloaded on morning coffee and enjoying tweaking their usual nemesis (is there a plural to that word? Nemesises? Nemesi?) or wound up on a topic that just get’s them writing before truly thinking.
If not, well: Scatch a lefty, find a totalitarian.
Yup, I knew that when I divulged personal information, it would be held up to distortion and ridicule.
That’s the reich-wing way.
Just ask Al Gore, John Kerry, Bill Clinton, Michael Dukkais or any other Democratic candidate who ever ran for office.
For the record, I have played in and attended many coffee houses, sing-a-longs, hootnanies, etc. and I have never once heard anyone singing “kumbaya.”
I played a Van Morrison song “The Beauty of Days Gone By,
“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5HXPhVyBf0
an Elvis Costello song, “What’s So Funny about Peace Love and Understanding,”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbOVtcSUVjI
and a Jackson Browne song, “Lives in the Balance”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFowNFvmUxw
For film club, we watch movies and talk about them.
It may not be as much fun as going to the Bob’s Country Bunker and dancing the “electric slide,” but we can’t all have as much fun as GS, heigh ho . . .
…and does anyone wonder why GS so fears anyone knowing her identity? Does she fear they might treat her the same way?
GMC–
Chomsky made an argument. He makes a conclusion based on evidence.
When you make an actual argument, I’ll try to respond to it.
ah -
the pat answer for those with none.
What’s the question?
Cap’n,I’ve been stating that “Football long ago replaced religion as the opiate of the masses.” since the late 1970’s. Nice to know Chomsky finally caught up with me!
I do like college football though.
I just wish it were real . . . in the sense that they were real students and not recruited and paid for future NFLer’s.
Ironic, isn’t it? Fictional shows on tv have become more real–in the sense of reality shows like Survivor and The Great Race etc., while college sports are getting more fictional.
We pretend they’re actually students with some kind of alligence to their state college . . .
Is the net generally bad for women? Women can turn the conversations off if they feel threatened. Its a choice to keep coming back. They can stand their ground too and fight back.
Blog in one place is better for all people than doing it all over the net. Create a online persona people can respect.
I hate anonymity when people use really fake names or email address and their p.o.v is supposed to mean something.
Some words said demand the person is real and has some authority of what their saying.
This is not a counter culture place to blog. No underground aspect at all.
The one Weblog meetup I attended was fine. I didn’t look forward to meeting any one particular person but the group gathered was okay.
I don’t retain memory of faces like some do, even if I went to school with them in the past, important events that are cherished.
Some recognize my father from the 60’s and everywhere he’s worked at the City, some corps and Boeing. Ex McConnell military know him as well. He wasn’t any special title. Just a nice guy people remembered. Apparently his image hasn’t changed in 40 years.
I don’t recognize people long term that way.
Meetup is a momentary couple of hours, what feelings and suspicious people have while blogging are generally blown away saying hello in person.
Some bloggers aren’t worth meeting too because their evil in person and online.
If I can go to bars and talk to strangers, strike up a conversation at stores, what’s the harm meeting bloggers occasionally?
Back to our original topic. Sexism and inappropriate sexual behavior isn’t something spawned by the internet; it’s been around for thousands of years. The internet is just a new venue for the same-old same-old. Remember Laugh-In’s Dirty Old Man? Anonymous phone calls and letters? The problem isn’t technology, it’s cultural, and that’s where our efforts should be directed. Unfortunately, cultural behavior is very difficult to change. We’ve been fighting racism for more than 50 years, and it still lingers in the dark corners of our culture. Sexism is probably even more ingrained in our culture than racism, and harder to overcome.Sexism and inappropriate sexual behavior is passed from father to son and from older kids to younger ones. As such, it can be considered an infectious disease, the treatment being aggressive education, containment and perseverance. It’s gonna take a while, but it can be, if not totally eradicated, pushed back to the outer fringes of our culture.
Naw, men will always think with the little head instead of the big one…it’s the nature of the beast.
“Fictional shows on tv have become more real–”
Documentaries are at an all time high in terms of demand. You have to go to the movie theatre to see real news.
A last comment on JM/Repub. I have been vocal about the absurdity of trying to say that various conservative posters are the same person — my view was that they were different, they just all sounded alike because they all live in the same echo chamber. But, Repub. has been here a lot longer than he admits to. Simply put, he is a lying SOS. But, you all knew that.
Pretty strong indictment, there Steve. You have proof of your claim that he is lying? Something other than similarity in word usage, that is? Such as posting from the same IP address maybe? Or photographs of the same person signing different names?
Your claim of someone lying is rather extreme…so I would hope you have some concrete evidence to back that up. Something other than assertion, inuendo and insinuation. After all, isn’t the standard in this country that someone is innocent until PROVEN guilty? So, I ask, where is your factual proof?
