The Wichita Eagle reported that Sen. Sam Brownback gave a “follow your dreams” speech to a group of Girl Scouts. The Scouts, in return, made him an honorary member of the Girl Scouts of the Golden Plains Council.
Now, do you suppose Brownback will have to live up to the Girl Scout Law? It states, in part, “I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place. . . .”
Maybe we should make all politicians honorary Girl Scouts.

Patricia – perhaps you should get to know some politicians. Have you ever taken the time to visit with any elected officials in Kansas? Really talked to different ones on different levels as well as different parties? You might learn something of value.
Believe me, it won’t improve the politicians, it’ll ruin the Girl Scouts!

If the Girl Scouts are filled with lesbians, then the Boy Scouts are filled with pedophiles? Oh yeah, there have been several news stories about that happening. But I have not heard of one news story about the Girl Scouts having a problem with their little girls being molested.
James Dobson needs to start looking at each and every organization with a clearer view. But then that would require a fair and balanced approach and that would drive his millions of followers away, wouldn’t it?
