    hey two open threads..cool!

I wanted to post the kind of stuff that comes into our inboxes. I’m ashamed that this comes from a supposed democrat. If anyone takes the time to read all of it you win the patience of the month award.

    ——————————–

OK I was going to post the WHOLE thing that was in my inbox, but it would have taken SO long to scroll past it..I’ll be nice and just give the link. Can we say psycho much?

Well mom if it really is you, has that changed you stance on Hillary? AS to me, well it is at best fair writing and at worst good fiction. It read like most of that fairy tale crap that was out there during the Clinton years.Sadly I did give it some credence back then, but the only thing that was really provable was Clinton connection to Menana AK. And I have to admit that when getting a call from the higher branches of the U.S. government to cooperate what Governor would not?

No as much as I may dislike Hillary, I see nothing worth credence or belief in that story.

No, it hasn’t changed my stance on Hillary. That was obviously written by a crazy person.

    Whew!

Pmom, for a minute there, I thought you’d lost your mind. I perused your link and thought that was about the biggest pant-load I’d seen in quite a while.

Why do you like Hillary to become President?

  6. Posted April 28, 2007 at 10:23 am | Permalink

I think Hillary Clinton is a person of many personalities.

Ever hear her Southern Accent display? It sounds like a Yankee invited on “Hee Haw” trying to sound southern, hilarious.

Also, according to sources she has a temper that is explosive.

She is a chameleon and can’t be trusted. Being one person in one situation and another in another situation is not the type of unstable personality I want as President.

Well Republican! Embrace yourself. The chances of her being the next President is really good. Not a single scandal past, present or the future will stop or reduce her chances.

Ok, so she has a temper and she changes her mind a lot.

    Hummmm.

Sounds like any person with intelligence to me. Yeah, a temper is hard to control, but those of us with them work hard to do so.

As for changing your mind, seems to me that is more of a sign of a sharp intellect than it is to stay in rigid lock-step and deny that the situation has change.

Sort of like what the Republican Party would prefer you do.

Though I prefer Sen. Obama, I would be happy to support Hillary too.

I have never supported the notion to impeach GWB — next in line was too scary ……. but now …..

I heard about this last night —

By accepting the Purple Heart he is discrediting and disgracing every soldier, sailor and airman that served our country

.. it is not the way to support our troops.

Laura stated they feel the same pain as the families that have lost loved ones? — What a f***kng insult —

WASHINGTON – Bill and Georgia Thomas reported they were elated Monday when they met in the Oval Office with President George W. Bush to present him with a Purple Heart.

“We were just absolutely bowled over. Without reservation, it was one of the highlights of our life. He was such a gracious host,” Thomas said. “It was just an incredible, incredible experience.”

The couple was able to meet with President Bush for about 20 minutes to present him with one of three Purple Hearts that Bill Thomas received during his service in Vietnam.

“He said he didn’t feel like he had earned it,” Thomas said, noting the president looked thinner in person than on television.

Thomas said he and his wife came up with the unprecedented idea to present the president with the Purple Heart over breakfast one morning a few months ago as they discussed the verbal attacks, both foreign and domestic, the commander in chief has withstood during his time in office.

“We feel like emotional wounds and scars are as hard to carry as physical wounds,” Thomas said.

This story is jaw-dropping on all kinds of levels. Consider: Then-Congressman George H. W. Bush used his considerable political power to jump Junior to the top of a list of over 500 applicants for his Texas Air National Guard position as a pilot, despite his receiving the minimum passing score on the pilot entrance aptitude test, and listing no other qualifications. In a 1994 interview, Bush stated that he joined the Guard because “I was not prepared to shoot my eardrum out with a shotgun in order to get a deferment. Nor was I willing to go to Canada. So I chose to better myself by learning how to fly airplanes.” After the American taxpayers paid $1 million to train the young aviator, he went AWOL.

That indeed is a slap in the face to soldiers and the American people.

Why do I want Hillary to be president? Because I think she’s incredibly smart, already has pull to negotiate straight off the bat in other countries, I agree with her political stances. I think she’d be fabulous.

A Failure in GeneralshipBy Lt. Col. Paul Yingling

“You officers amuse yourselves with God knows what buffooneries and never dream in the least of serious service. This is a source of stupidity which would become most dangerous in case of a serious conflict.”- Frederick the Great

…………..The Responsibilities of GeneralshipArmies do not fight wars; nations fight wars. War is not a military activity conducted by soldiers, but rather a social activity that involves entire nations. Prussian military theorist Carl von Clausewitz noted that passion, probability and policy each play their role in war. Any understanding of war that ignores one of these elements is fundamentally flawed. The passion of the people is necessary to endure the sacrifices inherent in war. Regardless of the system of government, the people supply the blood and treasure required to prosecute war.

The passion of the people is necessary to endure the sacrifices inherent in war. Regardless of the system of government, the people supply the blood and treasure required to prosecute war. The statesman must stir these passions to a level commensurate with the popular sacrifices required. When the ends of policy are small, the statesman can prosecute a conflict without asking the public for great sacrifice.

    However much it is influenced by passion and probability, war is ultimately an instrument of policy and its conduct is the responsibility of policymakers. War is a social activity undertaken on behalf of the nation;

America’s generals not only failed to develop a strategy for victory in Vietnam, but also remained largely silent while the strategy developed by civilian politicians led to defeat.

RepubliCON writes: “Ever hear her Southern Accent display? It sounds like a Yankee invited on “Hee Haw” trying to sound southern, hilarious.”

It’s true that she grew up in northern Illinois, but on the other hand, she was a College Republican at Wellesly.

Have you ever heard RepubliCON try to say something important? Hilarious.

“Being one person in one situation and another in another situation is not the type of unstable personality I want as President.”

My first instinct was to point my finger toward the current resident of the White House. We’ve all heard stories of GW’s vicious temper and potty mouth.

But then I thought, well, isn’t that the way politicians are? Being the type of person/personality that people are drawn to?

Third thought: We ALL present a different face in each situation. It’s human nature, from the smallest to the largest, the youngest to the oldest. Think about it, Republican. You are one personality to your family, one to your employer or employees, one to your close friends, another to people on the street. Yet another to your pastor and fellow congregation (if you’re a church goer). The list goes on and on. Each of us is a chameleon. It’s how we learn to get along.
