Conservative Republicans saw their power undermined on more issues than gambling this legislative session. Democrats and moderate Republicans in the House also coalesced this week to block a misguided voter ID bill, which would have required those registering to vote to show proof of citizenship and those voting to show a photo ID. “The myth of voter fraud is exactly that — it’s a myth,” Rep. Raj Goyle, D-Wichita, correctly noted. But what isn’t a myth is that tough ID requirements would reduce voting by U.S. citizens.
Unfortunately, the bill also included language to allow all counties in the state to enjoy the convenience of advance satellite voting, something that’s proving popular in Sedgwick County. Maybe next year.

Looks like the pro-voter fraud crowd won. While it may or may not be a large magnitude problem, it is a problem. Why not start fixing the problems instead of throwing up smoke about trying to keep US citizens from voting? Voting is not only a priviledge, it is a responsibility. I have voted in every election since 1972, the first year 18 year olds were allowed to vote. i have stood in the rain, I have voted with absentee ballots while displaced from my home area, I have done what it takes. If someone isn;t even willing to show get an id, i don;t really care if they vote or not.
I’m a dem, and I’m all for showing an ID just like we do now.
It’s the birth certificate thing I’d have an issue with. You need the birth certificate to get the driver’s license anyway.
Just curious, why do you have an issue with the birth certificate? And since the governor is for giving dls for illegal aliens (if I remember rightly), doesn’t that make a difference?
I have issue with the birth certificates because I always seem to lose mine.
Like titles to my car. even though I have this nifty little file cabinet for all these things.
Once they come out, it seems they never get back.
My driver’s license I have never lost. Go figure. I did have it stolen once.
And no, I don’t want illegals getting driver’s licenses. Unless they have green cards or work visas or something where they’re here legally but not yet citizens. That’s fine.
Heck, I understand about thelosing things, I do it all the time :)As I understand it though, the BC would only have to be shown once, at registration, and only for people who haven’t voted before. It just doesn’t seem like a big problem to do, and can go at least part way into not only insuring eleciton results, but giving greater confidence in them. Agree, there are plenty of other issues that should be taken of too. I don;t like the machines, or the electronic voting, without paper trail. Too easy for mischief, on either side. Or foulups by the machines themselves.
In some parts of this country not everybody has a birth certificate. Believe it or not, in some of the more rural and poorer areas of Appalachia and the south, lots of children are born outside of hospitals. You can live just fine without a BC. In 50+ years, I’ve only had to show a birth certificate twice. I have no idea where the damn thing is now.
The ID proposal was a bad idea that would have been ruled unconstitutional. It costs money to obtain a copy of your birth certificate. It costs money to get a passport, but more importantly, do you think poor Kansas whites and blacks are taking international trips, the only reasonable impetus to get a passport?
So thousands of poor people would have been invited by some public interest group (”commies” to some of you) to join a class-action discrimination lawsuit that would have been a slam dunk for plaintiffs. Poll taxes were outlawed long ago. If somebody has to pay money to get a copy of his/her birth certificate, that’s a proxy for a poll tax: you have to pay money to the government to be registered to vote.
The ID proposal was an illegal, corrupt idea. I have both birth certificate and passport, so the proposal wouldn’t have harmed me. But I don’t want to see other American citizens disenfranchised on socioeconomic grounds.
I find it curious that no Hispanic speaking reporter doesn’t go under cover and find out if illegal immigrants are filling out mail-in ballots.
That would settle the story once and for all.
Or at least do a search on the names and address of Hispanic voters congregating in an area where illegals that are known to be employed and match them up with the local voter database.
We should pay for the cost of low income people obtaining a government issued ID. And require it be shown to verify identity when voting. Simple.
Well ok, if you want a birth certificate, make it free to get it from the state- once a year.
I think it should be anyway. You HAVE to have it.
What say you anti-tax people since it’ll come from tax dollars?
It’s about time some common sense prevailed in Topeka. Showing ID when voting was not the problem. As the matter of fact, I was asked for ID the last time I voted.
However, requiring a birth certificate or passport for registering to vote would have a chilling effect on voter registration in Kansas. Can you imagine no voter registration drives? You would have to go to the courthouse to register. And, honestly, I have never seen a tried and true, uppercrust Republican going around his high brow neighborhood on a voter registration drive. No, he just invites the neighbors down to his Pac-yderm Club to help them all get along together. It is the lower income neighborhoods that tend to be more transient that depend on the voter registration drives and get out to vote campaigns for their connections and information on government actions.
Sure, I agree. If you need a BC for registration and don’t have one, let the state furnish it for free. Since you only need it the first time registering, then one free should be enough. I think the damn price is too high anyway. And most everyone has had a birthe certificate these days. They are required to get into school. Aren’t they required for a ss card? I am not sure, I have had mine since my first job, a looong time ago.
“The ID proposal was an illegal, corrupt idea.”
NO it is NOT illegal!
“Or at least do a search on the names and address of Hispanic voters congregating in an area where illegals that are known to be employed and match them up with the local voter database.”
Because the media is pro illegal alien, the last thing they want to find out is that this is actually happening and in large numbers.
The Statistics just came out in the last couple of days. By population the hispanics have surpassed the African American and “other Race” populations COMBINED!
Wonder how the Kansas Democratic Party is gonna deal with that one?
“The ID proposal was a bad idea that would have been ruled unconstitutional.”
Why Mark? Cause you say so? NO, it is legal it is constitutional, and it is NOT a poll tax either. DO the polulation numbers on poverty in Kansas, then take a survey of those in poverty WITHOUT ID, then get the rest IS’s thad do not have one.
Problem solved and we know whom people are.
You illegal alien supporters need to chcek some things out, it is just more than about the voting such as:

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION ERODES ALL OF OUR LAWS AND CRIPPLES OUR INFRASTRUCTURE AND SAFETY NETS.
So tyler saying it is NOT illegal makes it so?
Pleased to be showing us how it IS legal.
How conveeeenient to forget that indeed, poll taxes and all impediments to voting are indeed, unconstitutional.
But then, the fundies just LOVE spending your tax dollars to try settled law over and over and over and over.
How’s that workin’ for ya tyler?
Let’s see, the last I checked….
abortion was STILL legal in the US.
heheheheh> GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and did I mention that TILLER is still in business, LEGALLY?
Heheheheh. Until some nut job like tyler or fundy or aaron SHOOTS him again.
I know Jesus doesnt like lyin’ and somewhere I think I recall YOU saying Jesus doesnt like killin’.
So are you WITH Jesus or against him?
hey ksfarmgrrl,
I thought you stomped off from the Wichita Voice because you got tired of forced birth discussions.
So why are you constantly bringing it up here and under a thread titled “Conservatives also lost voter ID fight.”
fap fap fap
I know you hate to see me here.
It warms my heart to hear you and fleetwood whining like little girls. (sorry to little girls)
Im just fighting the fundies here since I dont want to fight them over there…
Sound familiar? They already followed me THERE and BACK HERE again.
Tell me again how they are NOT obsessed with me? Tell me again they are NOT targeting me? Why else follow me there, post what I say there over here, then go back there and read some more?
And here I thought I’d save them some trouble by posting here. That way, they leave the folks at the WV alone.
Damn. I guess I should be flattered, but I just feel stalked.
…oh and BTW, the subject here is how conservatives lost power. They lost the abortion fight too, but they just cant get over it.
Care to comment on the SUBJECT republican? OR did you just come here to fling crap balls at me :)
Golfnutz. He just cant leave me alone…..
Show you do not know what you are talking about ks farmwinch.
I support a woman’s right to choose.
I alos opposed the “Kansas Talibahn” in pushing the expulsion of Evolution from Science and the KS Talibahn putting in their “God” references as “Science”.
Your ASSumption, ther KS winch is not EVEN close.
Well ksfarmgrrl, glad you came back or I would have never had the opportunity to see your photo. I understand now why you choose your lifestyle.
OMG, I am shocked, SHOCKED that a good christian and conservative poster like tyler would call names.
hehehhehheheheeh.
It still doesnt make you right, nor does it make you any less laughable.
As your buddy always says “dance puppet dance”.
Here comes more sound and fury, signifying nothing, in 3-2-1….
Drivers License (or other DMV-issued ID). Code it to indicate citizenship status etc. If you look at the back of you DL you see two important things: a magnetic strip and a 2-D barcode. Those contain your information.
When I flew to Canada I inserted my DL into a reader at the airport. It found ‘me’ and my ticket. I then entered my Passport # and it printed my ticket, boarding pass, etc.
Do the same thing at the polls.
HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH!
When republican has thoroughly had his ass kicked, he turns to personal insults and dises me for who I am.
Once again, I am shocked, SHOCKED that an upright con like you would stoop to so called “liberal” behavior.
I think he is getting sore sitting at the computer and that is why he is so snarky today. His butt must really hurt from all the kickings he got over the last few days.
So… gonna post your photo any time soon? I thought not. Too horrifying no doubt. And I didnt post my photo, one of YOUR folks did.
And I am happily in the relationship of my choice. And YOU?
I hear your wife left you and that is why you are sitting at the computer. Project much? My sweetie still loves me, and has for almost five years.
And you? Heheheheheheheh. Bagging on appearance and someone else’s relationship is so, well, so conservative republican if you judge by golfnut….
Appearance and sexual orientation. The last weak stabs of someone who has been completely humiliated and totally OWNED since the dreaded liberals came back.
No wonder he was whistling in the dark about us never returning. Karma, she’s such a bitch, no?
heheheheeheheheeh. Still laughing at republican and tyler. I keep waiting for them to reveal their junior high status with comments like “yeah? Well… uh… YO MAMMMA!!!!” heheheheheheheheheh
I think that is what kids say when they have nothing left to say.
When I was young, oh so long ago, we used to say “Oh Yeah? Well, yer ugly and yo mamma dresses you funny”.
Heheheheheheheh. For the record golfnut, in case you have forgotten, I was married to a man for eight years and almost married another one, but thankfully, I backed out of that one.
I chose women because I lOVE WOMEN, not because they are some sort of second place consolation prize. But how very telling of your attitude towards women that you would think that.
Hehehehe. Republican thinks lesbians are lesbians because they cant “get” a man?ROFLMQAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this from the guy who posted as a lady killer, talks about who is MILFY and who isnt, held himself out as a very married stud muffin who just liked young girls on the side….
…. and when he attended the meetup? Heheheheh. He weighs 300lbs, has greasy skin and hair and breath that would knock a dog off a shit wagon.
Now of course, we are not making fun of him being a fat, greasy, lonely guy sitting at his computer day and night without a wife or girlfriend.
Oh no. We are not that mean. We are laughing at him because he LIED about who he was. Polar opposites.
Heheheheheh. So… where have I lied about myself? I thought so.
You must really be losing it by now republican. Being in control of this blog is a full time job. You seem to have the time, but not the moral authority.
How is it workin’ for ya being the blog monitor here and then being caught violating your own rules?
I’ve never been married. I haven’t been owned by anyone.
It’s a simple formula. They post false information; I post the truth and correct information.
Just read the threads from Doug and Capn America last night. Capn broke his own rules several times.
I’m somewhat confused by your posting ksfarmgrrl care to translate that?
For those who missed it yesterday, more evidence that Republicans hate democracy as Doug put it so well.
Looks like the Republicans are losing their battles to keep the 2004 ballots in Ohio under wraps. Considering how hard they’ve been working to stop any inspection or recount, this can’t be good news for them.
Check it out:
Brunner has requested the resignations of the entire scandal-plagued Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, which Bennett has chaired. Two Democratic members and one Republican have complied with her request. The BOE’s executive director, Michael Vu, previously resigned amidst a cloud of scandal resulting from a mishandled primary election and more than $12 million in budgetary overruns. Two BOE workers have been given 18-month prison sentences for felony convictions stemming from what a government prosecutor called the “rigging” of an officially mandated recount for the 2004 presidential election.
Bennett has issued a legal challenge against his removal. But on Wednesday, April 4, Franklin County Common Pleas Judge John Connor ruled Bennett has to comply with Brunner’s call for a public hearing on the matter. The hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 9.
A long-time GOP power broker, Bennett is a close personal confidante of White House advisor Karl Rove. He has been Rove’s point man in Ohio’s most populous county, which includes the Democratic voter rich city of Cleveland. A wide array of irregularities there were pivotal in giving Bush his narrow margin of official victory in 2004.
Bennett asked the court to rule that the Ohio statute seeking his removal was unconstitutionally vague. But Judge Connor ruled that the law was “clear and unequivocal.”

“Two election workers in jail for rigging elections” . . . hmmmm, good thing there’s no conspiracy or anything like that going on. We might have to question the partisan ideologues controlling the election counts otherwise.
heheheheheh no golfnut, anyone who can read here will know. You can run but you cant hide when you’ve had your ass kicked. And I thought this blog was governed by YOUR new rules?
So you violated your rules and capn violated his. I dont recall Doug signing on for ANY rules. Neither did I.
Bring it fat boy. Btw. We know who Doug is.
And you? Until you reveal yourself, you are just going to have to live with the fact that it is my word against yours who you are.
If I were you, I’d worry about how much “weight” your word has. You’ve been caught lying multiple times. BUT, we already know.
When it comes to lying IOKIYAAR
Republican–
1. We “lie” because you keep changing your story so much we can’t keep up with the latest version of you.
You were once married to a liberal Jewish lady, remember? But that was before you moved to Mississippi.
Anyway,
2. point out to me how I violated my own code
And
3. I enjoyed seeing your picture, FrmGrrl. I’ll send you my photo one of these days . . .
“Just read the threads from Doug and Capn America last night”
Uh, yea republican I did. That is what has me HOWLING and laughing over how they totally OWNED you last night. You really should get more sleep dude. You need to be sharper to keep up with the big boys here.
So NOW can we get back to the subject about how conservatives have lost and are still losing power?
Could it have anything to do with the lie, deny and die strategy demonstrated so well here by golfnut?
Wow she still thinks I’m a golfnut.
Capn thinks I’m a J M. J M posts here regularly, I don’t think I’m him, never been to Danang.
How did you come to conclusion that I was fat ksfarmgrrl?
You and no one else on this blog has seen me. I have a flabby stomach, cause I don’t exercise enough, but certainly not fat.
Well since you seem to know everyone else’s identity, and you are so ashamed of yourself that you cant identify yourself truthfully, I guess whatever we say just stands.
Where is fleetie’s plaque store? I think you have a few to return. heheheheh.
Oh, and fleetie follows republican around with all the adoration of a love sick puppy. I wonder if fleetie will tell republican to GET A DAMN JOB!!!!!!!
You may be fat with a bad back, but it sure looks like you could be employed doing work on a computer. I mean, since you have the physical ability to sit HERE day and night, you could surely sit in an office behind a computer and REALLY earn your living.
Instead of taking welfare. I wonder if fleetie will call republican a western kansas welfare sucking farmer?
hehehehehehehehehehehehehehheeheheh
Back to the topic at hand. In OKlahoma you can get a once in a lifetime ID for $6. At least it was that price when my mom got hers.
She has never been a driver but needed one to cash checks, show for SS, airport ID and anything else that needed id. You had to show a birth certificate and it looked just like a drivers license but was red instead of blue.
I see no reason something like this would work. Maybe have a location set up on an ocassional basis where they could be obtained with little or no travel. Maybe have a portable one??
We have to get a better handle on voters.
The liberal media isn’t going to report the fact that only2 percent of illegal aliens are actually picking fruit and vegetables, but 41 percent are on welfare!
The liberal media isn’t going to report that 1 in 10 babiesborn in the U.S. are to illegal aliens.
The liberal media isn’t going to report that 60 percent ofHousing and Urban Development funds go to illegal aliens.
I don’t take welfare ksfarmgrrl. I fall under the disable veterans act and am not eligible to get state assistance.
I’ve had lots of jobs, lately all I get is temp jobs. You know the 90 day jobs where they say you might be hired, but let you go on about the 80th day.
And yes, employers do actually discriminate against disabled people in hiring and retaining people.
hey Tyler,
care to post your references?? I’d really like to investigate thoes to see if they are true. If they are, than you might have succeeded in changing my mind.
Tyler, I agree with Tony. If you can provide some references for your facts, I would like to read them. Maybe I have been wrong all this time.
Tyler - I’ll chme in with brian and Tony. Put up or shut up.
Tyler Durden,
Quit making stuff up. Be a man: either post links or admit you’re a liar.
The conservative media isn’t going to report the fact that only2 percent of Republicans are actually working, but 41 percent are fraud artists!
The conservative media isn’t going to report that 9 in 10 drug addicts are listeners to right-wing talk radio.
The conservative media isn’t going to report that 99 percent ofContracting fraud goes to Republicans.
For some reason I don’t think we will be hearing anything else from Tyler D today
“The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) (8 U.S.C. §§1101 et seq.) currentlyprovides limited avenues for state enforcement of both its civil and criminalprovisions.”
“Coalition seeks immigrant sanctuaries; services wouldn’t hinge on legal status.” Asbury Park Press 1 Mar. 2007.”Havens for illegals; Advocates recruit ’sanctuary cities’.” The Record 1 Mar. 2007.
“National City named sanctuary city.” San Diego Union-Tribune 1 Oct. 2006.
A little know fact is that there are sanctuary cities in the US. If apprehended committing a crime less that murder there is no prosecution. Traffic violations, DUI, assaults, are all considered minor. When you are hit by an illegal with no insurance, another large problem, you are just up a creek without a paddle.
Look into this. The statistics are there. Two teens in Georgia were hit by a drunk illegal. He had 3 DUI violations but because he was in a sanctuary city was not prosecuted. THe last I heard he still isn’t being prosecuted, just deported which means he will be back over here in a few months.
What people don’t realize about illegals is that following laws isn’t one of their strong points. THeir entire life is based on breaking laws. They don’t respect ours.
Another statistic is that the first generation of illegals were hard workers, subsequent generations have decided they don’t want to pick crops and want the American Dream. Thus they are going to school, soaking up an education and will be competing for our kids jobs. That’s fine except we are allowing them to go to school on reduced fees while our own kids are competing for fewer and fewer funds.
Will we then have to let another generation of illegals in because no one will pick the crops or will those jobs be filled by our own kids who played by the rules and aren’t as educated.
It’s a scary scenario but very real.
ksgrm - I’ll pose the same question to you I posed to Tyler above. IF what you say is true it is reprehensible. I’d like to see some good lawyers take them apart as accomplices to the crimes alleged.
http://www.wavy.com/Global/story.asp?S=6307948
“An illegal alien charged in connection with an acdcident that claimed the lives of two teenage girls was convicted of DUI two months ago in Chesapeake.
The accident occurred late Friday night when Alfredo Ramos crashed into the back of a vehicle at a red light. The rear-ending killed teenagers Allison Kuhnhardt and Tessa Tranchant.
10 On Your Side has learned that 22-year-old Alfredo Ramos was convicted in February on DUI charges from November 13, 2006.
The arresting officer commented in his report that Ramos “almost ran him down”.
He was given a 90 day suspended sentence, fined $250, had his drivers’ license suspended, and he ordered to participate in ASAP, an alcohol awareness program.
Court documents also revealed that Ramos didn’ t actually have a valid driver’s license (he was caught with a fake one), had paid a Florida company $200 dollars for a “Mexican ID”, and he blew a .14 BAC - almost twice the legal limit.
Also, 10 On Your Side has learned that law-enforcement officials in Chesapeake never informed Immigration and Customs Enforcement about Ramos’ residence status in the U.S. This contrasts with Virginia Beach, whose authorities notified ICE immediately after Ramos was arrested.
Ramos, who speaks no English, remains in jail with no bond.”
How much longer can we afford to look the other way. We see this same thing in Wichita, my husband was hit by an illegal w/no insurance. Police said ‘oh well’. He didn’t receive a ciation.
“care to post your references?? I’d really like to investigate thoes to see if they are true. If they are, than you might have succeeded in changing my mind.”
No you do not want to investiagte those issues, NO you do not want to know anything is wrong. ALl you want to do is to say BS to my sources. That is all it is SO, NO I M not going to post references, …. YOU WON’T READ THEM ANYWAY!!!!
You can get the info out of any Government Records, … IF YOU WOULD CARE TO LOOK!
I am not wasting my time on a bunch of losers that have already determined the past of least resistance in the illegal immigration issue, NOR will I waste my time getting facts to illegal alien supporters to simply post.
“Un-unh”
That is all this posting and referencing crap is on here anyway.
The WEBlog is only left of say MOVEON.org.
Most on here that post haven’t a foggy idea of what is going on in the world and are isolated in not only Kansas, but an IVORY TOWER in Kansas.
“Police said ‘oh well’. He didn’t receive a ciation.”
That is the point, AMerican Citizens can be found, and will not run. AN illegal alien is however given an automatic “get out of jail free card” . The will melt away or never show up for their court date, change their name. An American Citizen cannot do that to avoid prosecution, if you do it gets worse. For illegal aliens,… nothing, no biggie, they came here to work….
and kill our people in car accidents.
and take money from funds and denying our citrizens in poverty from services,
committ crime at a rate FAR ewceeding their population numbers.
break the law to get here and continue breaking it after they are here.
Add on the rest.
Just wait till your loved one is killed by a drunk illegal alien unlicensed uninsured driver, or killed by an illegal alien criminal,
I HOPE IT DOES NOT HAPPEN TO YOU,
but for those of us that this has ocurred to, take our word for it, ILLEGAL ALIENS HAVE TO GO.
In other words, I made it all up!
“Another statistic is that the first generation of illegals were hard workers, subsequent generations have decided they don’t want to pick crops and want the American Dream.”
Only 2% of the illegal alien population “picks veggies”, many oif the rest are involved in criminal activities and are on welfare.
Sadly, we have read of many such cases with both citizens and non-citizens. I didn’t see anything about any sort of sanctuary city where he was never charged. We DID, however, see the usual sloppiness about following up on prior arrests. The whole situation stinks - illegal alien or not.
Here’s another one:

Some people are so comfortable in their ignorance they don’t want to move.
Tyler unfortunately you are talking to a crowd like this. All that will wake them up is when they face this first hand.
Good try!

What do you do for fun, Tyler?

Tyr to stop the carnage in the US caused by illegal immigration.
Doesn’t anyone here think that putting into place an intelligent immigration plan would help in stopping the “carnage”? Problem is, intelligent and this admin is an oxymoron.
LittleJohn said: “Voting is not only a priviledge, it is a responsibility. I have voted in every election since 1972, the first year.”Voting is a privilege? Hardly, it’s a joke. Our federal government is a joke. Dems and Republicans alike, they’re all on the payroll of some big corporation or special interest. If you think the people you elect represent you, you are living in fantasy land somewhere. I last voted in 2000 and never plan to vote again. It’s a waste of time.
More examples of illegal immigration. 98% of illegal aliens are not prosecuted. American Citizens are prosecuted at a far higher rate for similar crimes.

80 illegal immigrants in one house?
http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/04/07/immigration.raid.ap/index.html
Dan Warren–
How sad for you. If you feel so, do something about it. Run for office yourself–find someone that you can support and campaign for him, even if it’s a losing excercise. Instead of getting off the train, and bitching about where it’s going, do something.I understand your feelings, but griping without action is a waste of time also. Why bother?
“Since 1996, it has been illegal for states and municipalities to take any action that prevents the reporting of illegal immigrants to federal immigration authorities. On July 23, the New York Times (search) ran a 1355-word article (which used the term “illegal alien” exactly four times) on New York City’s response to a recent Federal Court ruling that compels the city to change a policy it has had for more than a decade. That policy prevented city agencies from reporting illegal aliens (search) to federal immigration authorities.
But rather than do what the court has stated he must, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (search) has developed a new policy — city agencies now won’t inquire as to a person’s immigration status except in the most extraordinary circumstances. The goal is for the city to have nothing to report.
Mayor Bloomberg’s new policy, which is mimicked in major cities throughout the country, seems ironic coming from a mayor who never stops complaining that the city pays too much money to people injured on its poorly-maintained sidewalks. In December 2002, a wife and mother of two was overpowered near Shea Stadium by five men who sexually assaulted her over a period of hours. Every one of the perpetrators are reportedly illegal aliens, and four of them had been in the custody of the New York City Police Department before the rape but were released rather than being turned over to INS (now BCIS) Investigations.
If mayors whose cities employ sanctuary policies are truly concerned with exposure to lawsuits, they might reconsider their sanctuary policies and do what the law requires: report illegal aliens to federal immigration authorities.
The days of the sanctuary policy might be numbered. Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo. (search), has offered an amendment to two appropriations bills that would bar federal funding to states and localities that restrict any government agency from sending information to, or receiving information from, federal immigration authorities regarding an individual’s citizenship or immigration status.”
I know it is easier for some to not believe what is written when they disagree with it but the evidence is there. Look it up yourself. It is becoming a much bigger problem everyday.
I am not against a guest worker problem but we have to get a grip on who is here and what they are doing.
I have a major problem with Bush’s stand on this issue. The term ‘illegal alien’ has been labeled as derogatory and is not to be used. Could be a way to circumvent existing law.
