What do you mean, no ‘Law and Order’ reruns?

Actor-turned-U.S. senator-turned-actor again Fred Thompson is thinking about running for president. But if he does, say goodbye to some “Law and Order” reruns.
Election law requires that TV stations give candidates equal airtime. And that likely would mean networks wouldn’t rerun episodes of the crime show, in which Thompson portrays District Attorney Arthur Branch, the Washington Post reported.
Thompson may run as a law and order candidate, but “Law and Order” will run only if he isn’t a candidate.
Dun, dun.

I wonder if he’ll campaign with a drink in his hand and tell a story beginning “I remember back in Texas when I…” while he’s running for President. :)

The guy’s an actor with a great voice. Look how badly the last actor with a great voice turned out.

And I still don’t understand the awe the GOP holds for Ronnie. As bad as the Dems hold for JFK.

McCain has really turned me completely off lately, and to think that I once said I wouldn’t mind him being our President.

Maybe we don’t like candidates that wear feather boas, talk with fake african american accents and were for something before they were against it.

Why not Fred Thompson? First he is a lawyer and was one of the counsel during the Water Gate hearings. He has a long time experience as an insider in D.C. He was elected Senator from Tenn. and was not defeated but chose not to run for another term.(This gives me some confidence knowing he can make a living outside of D. C. I can not say this about some of the other candidates) He emits an air of confidence, ability and leadership not shown by any other candidate. He also comes with no political baggage. Last, look at his competition 3 Senators, 2 ex Governors, 1 ex Mayor and a Representative. Why not Fred Thompson?
