    A little wiki love:

“Cyberstalkers target victims using online forums, bulletin boards, chat rooms, spyware, and spam. They may engage in live chat harassment or flaming or they may send electronic viruses and unsolicited e-mails.

More commonly they will post defamatory or derogatory statements about their stalking target on web pages, message boards and in guest books designed to trigger a reaction or response from their victim, thereby initiating contact.

When prosecuted, many stalkers have unsuccessfully attempted to justify their behavior based on their use of public forums, as opposed to direct contact.

Once they get a reaction from the victim, they will typically attempt to track or follow the victim’s internet activity.

Classic cyberstalking behavior includes the tracing of the victim’s IP address in an attempt to verify their home or place of employment.”

Tracking and harassing someone off the blg is classic cyberstalking. Beware WE bloggers. We have an off blog stalker amongst us.

Southern Baptist Leader Calls For Genetic Cleansing Of Original Sin One of the nation’s leading Southern Baptists has called for a policy that would support medical treatment, if it were to become available, to change the sexual orientation of a fetus inside its mother’s womb from homosexual to heterosexual. This latest assault on our dignity and existence comes from no less a personage than Rev. R. Albert Mohler, the president of the prominent and influential Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is the flagship school of the Southern Baptist Convention and one of the largest seminaries in the world.

I thought this might interest the gay people on Weblog.

So – is CBS’ Katie (the cheerleader) Couric on her way out? AFter the Dan Rather fiasco, I didn’t think the network could sink much lower – but Kate’s makeover seemingly couldn’t hide her idiocy.

    LOL

Does anybody even watch CBS anymore?

I am so in hog heaven! Yesterday after over ten years we have cable! Mom paid for it because the reception here is not good with an antenna. I was up late last night watching the discovery channel, CNN, MSNBC, even Fox news! First time I watched “The O’Reily factor” man that guy really is heartless! I bet he would argue that it was the Jews fault for the holocaust during the forties. “Hitler would have no need to waste money on building death camps, ovens and gas houses if the Jews had not refused to leave Europe!”.He is quite the contrast of the image of someone fighting for the unborn, maybe once born he feels you are on your own.

And has anyone watched “Survivalist man”? great show and so informative, thought provoking too!At least for me, I have long used humor when ever the subject of “Mountain oysters” comes up. “Who was the first person that stood behind a bull and said “man them look tasty!””. But he said something about by eating many of the body parts that normally someone would not. You will not suffer “protein Poisoning” as the human body need some fat to work well. He was talking about Rabbits and how they are so lean that simply eating just the muscles leaves you without need fats. So eat the eye balls, brains and bones, all the parts to survive.

LoL I know in most people cases I am tell everyone about CD, DVDs and cell phones and while I am at it.There is a box that set on your desk and it allows you to interact over a connection with others. Sending words over your phone lines and cable connection! But hey for the next three months I will get to feed the “news junkie” in me!

Make that 7 newspapers that have dropped Coulter–and this one did it good!”Ann Coulter no longer welcome in the Chronicle

The rapid escalation of electronic communication options and the frequent inappropriate and indiscriminate use of those options have combined to produce horror stories regarding job terminations that we have all heard about and shaken our heads over. We all know stories of folks getting fired via e-mail or through a voice-mail message left on a home or cell phone answering machine. We can’t fathom the gutless and impersonal nature of such terminations. We can’t fathom it — yet we’re about to do one better. We’re going to fire someone publicly — in print — right here, right now…

Ann Coulter is not a “real” employee of the Chronicle. She isn’t a freelancer or even an independent contractor. If she were an employee and referred to another human being as a “faggot,” her employment would be short-lived. As it is, the acerbic Coulter is a syndicated columnist whose material is distributed through Universal Press Syndicate. Universal President and Editor Lee Salem has responded to Coulter’s remarks by saying, “She is not an employee, and we have no legal power to ‘fire’ her.”

That’s a lot like the Chronicle saying, “She didn’t say it in one of the columns we ran, so it isn’t our problem.” Wrong. It is our problem, and not dealing with it is a cop-out.

So yesterday we called Universal Press Syndicate and “fired” Coulter. What she said was wrong and hurtful and stepped way beyond the line of human decency, much less political commentary.

“Americans, like most people around the world, have become so accustomed to the role that government plays in educating children that the idea of separating education from the state usually comes as a complete shock to them. While everyone is aware of the ever-growing problems associated with public schooling, the answer for most people is the standard one: “The system needs reform.” Yet decade after decade, as reforms are implemented, new bond issues passed, new schools built, and new schoolteachers hired, the problems remain, only to be addressed with the same answer: “The system needs reform.” And since most people attended public schools, the thought of bringing an end to the very system to which they attribute their own success is, well, shocking.

But why not reject all the reforms and instead raise our vision to a higher level? Why not end all government involvement in education, just as our American ancestors ended all government involvement in religion? Aren’t the arguments for separating church and state the same, in principle, for separating education and state?”

What a post Jed. How about a name or a news article, a link so we can independently confirm this ourselves?

Guess you would rather complain, “Liberals favorite trick is to parse out a post to make it mean what they want,” rather than do any independent reading.

  23. Posted March 10, 2007 at 8:58 am | Permalink

GSheridan, I agree that Katie isn’t my favorite either, but think (as usual) you’ve over reacted by saying CBS has sunk to a new low.

How does giving someone a chance and deciding the person wasn’t doing as well as hoped have to do with sinking to a new low? Do you just always make the perfect choice the first time? Do you never find a time when you need to choose a different path or try something different, or make a change in order to improve?

  24. GSheridan
    Posted March 10, 2007 at 9:04 am | Permalink

Linda – for me, CBS was already ‘iffy’ after the Dan Rather fiasco – but I DID like the evening news. I actually tried to watch Katie a number of times, but her persona just did NOT leave me with the feeling that she was serious, or a credible anchor.

And, I must not be the only one, because they are scrambling to revamp the program now.

I don’t mean sunk to a new ‘low’ in a politically-derogatory way – but in a journalistic sense. RAther started the downhill slide towards no credibility, and Katie took up where he left off, perhaps not because she was being dishonest, but because she just couldn’t ‘bring it.’

    Anyway, that’s what I meant.

  25. Posted March 10, 2007 at 9:14 am | Permalink

I hope they make changes because I agree Katie doesn’t deliver the news in a way that keeps me interested. CBS is still where my television dial is (boy, that word dial shows my age, doesn’t it!?) because I enjoy the local CBS anchors. I’m usually in the kitchen busy but listening. I find Katie has finished and wonder what she said, or the local news is on and I don’t remember the national news at all. Obviously, she didn’t say anything in any way that caught my interest.

    Linda Inks,

Oops my bad on the article. But, just as I suspected the original article is nothing more than a hypothetical posed byAs I suspected the Rev. R. Albert Mohler.

Both kscitydude and Jed rely on parsed words from the printed article that these hypotheticals is somehow the policy of the Southern Baptist Convention. Ministers often use these techniques to make readers aware just how deceptive things may be.

The study case involving so-called “homosexual” sheep was just another example of how the liberal Press and Liberals in general distort the truth.

Anyone who has studied animal behavior at the University levels knows that this so-called homosexual behavior amongst animals is the result of negative feedback. In other words, if you take a male ram and separate it from the females and put that male ram in with other male rams, it will first try to figure out who is dominant. Later on because of natural hormone processes the ram thinks it time to have sex, but can find no female sheep. The ram will then starting humping on anything it can find, fence posts, other male ship or your leg if you happen to venture into the pen.

This has absolutely zero conclusive value to determine homosexuality. It is a result of hormones in a dumb animal and it’s inability to find a female nearby. This negative feedback results in odd behavior.

Further in that hypothetical article that was referenced the Rev. R. Albert Mohler wrote ” we are absolutely responsible for what we do with sinful temptations, whatever our so-called sexual orientation.”

Notice the words so-called sexual orientation. He is trying to be too diplomatic in my opinion.

There is no genetic predisposition to homosexuality.

Typical liberal thinking you have there Linda Inks. You pop off about something you have no clue about and an article you never read and draw a conclusion. You take that conclusion and blast someone’s intelligence even though you have not taken the time to do an investigation of the facts.

    Typical Liberal claptrap.

I think Katie Couric is a doll, but I surely don’t like her politics.

She was also ineffective in delivering the news.

That black woman (don’t remember her name – help me out here) that talks on PBS would be a much better candidate for CBS news. She speaks clearly and delivers the news very effectively. I don’t know her politics, but I don’t care just as long as she reports the news objectively and doesn’t pick and choose stories that lean to the right or to the left.

Oh Please, WS, Why do you try so hard to put everyone in a box? I thought “Liberals” were supposed to be open minded, but your’s is as closed as they come. This “them against us” is so totally stupid. You’re far from articulate, you’re just insulting and abusive to anyone who disagrees with you. I’m not interested in playing “who can be the most verbally assaultive”, I don’t waste my time like that. And come on JR! The blog never used to be this angry and you know it.You guys have fun pissing on the trees! I’m outta here.

    Goodbye.

    WS

You are a late arrival. And your arrival was not much before the folks you list. Your perspective is colored (that is not meant racially) by your experience with the trollers, nic switchers, and kneecappers.

So I understand how it is that you are so…..reactionary.

Raptor has been wrong with me on occasion. He has always been gracious about it. I am SURE that he did not mean “black liar” as you took it. I’ve never seen him post anything else like that.

Imagine J R the peace broker standing up for raptor!TRUST me. NO ONE woulda thunk that!Hey the raptor had an honor that he did not feel honored by.

One of CFs posts was so good it got posted on Democrat Underground. Raptor got to go along for the ride!

Again, it is unfair to lump raptor with the lumps you list. That aint me going soft. That’s me being fair.

    Your welcome raptor.

Well, J R, I called Raptor on the point and asked him directly if he meant it as a slur. He failed to reply.

Unless I tell you, you would have no idea that I have a highly varied heritage. My nose is sort of black, but other than that you would not know it. (I won’t use the “pants” joke again.)

More importantly, I have five bi-racial nieces and nephews. I also have a granddaughter that is obviously Native American. For their sake, I take racial and ethic slurs very personally.

I gave Raptor on opportunity to clarify his statement. He did not. Based on that, I can only assume that he meant it as a slur.

It had its moments back in the day Mary.

Remember how ALMOST everyone was SURE Hank and Nathan were the same person?

Remember when Hank called me a drug abuser and unfit parent?

Remember when I called him “something I might find on my shoe after a lazy stroll through a hog lot.”

Remember when Crusader X threatened to “shoot Ed Friedeman in the head the next time I see him.”?

But I agree with you that it is more mean and nasty now than it has ever been. Part of it is that some on the right are very bad losers and afraid they are gonna lose more.

Speaking of a fixation with IP addresses like SOB and Khan have, look what a bone-dig turns up:

    “Thanks for the email Clarkie.

I now have your IP address so I can trace you. :)

“Don’t blow a gasket now Clarkie, you’ll go into convulsions.”

Hmmmmm…. I think everyone here knows that JM is the King of Meltdowns on the blog.

But I will laugh at you, JM.

BTW – You did not reply to my e-mail. What, no balls?

Posted by: WSClark | January 22, 2007 at 07:25 PM

    *****

So far the only person to claim to actually have baited somebody to send them an e-mail just so they could get the sender’s IP address is one JM.

Hmmm . . . yet Khan claims that HE is the one getting victimized and targetted by liberals.

    Odd, isn’t it.

raptor is not a frequent poster here WS.

He pops in from time to time.

It is just as likely that he was not aware that he had offended. Benefit of the doubt on ONE “attack” huh?

I mean that pales to someone like “Khan”.

So, I should be cool with being called a drug addict, a traitor a terrorist appeaser, anti-American, a coward, a loser, a welfare abusers, a drunk, etc, etc, etc.?

    Right, Mary?

I all actuality, I am a very nice, polite, helpful person. I do have a bit of a temper and I am very passionate about certain issues.

But the one thing I am not, is afraid to fire back when fired upon.

If that offends you, Mary, well, I am sorry. But I can assure you that I will never just lie down and take it.

And you are absolutely correct in suggesting that I am pretty f’ing nasty with my replies.

Yes when I first came here it was Nathan and Hank that seem the most outrageous of the right and JR and KFG the counterpart on the left. But it was their total believe in their understanding of the issue that made them come across that way.

But Kgolfnut and lately Republikhan have made Nathan and Hank seem pale in comparison. The difference? Whether Hank and Nathan I feel truly believe in what they say, the two above seem more mindless pot stirrers and simple say things to play a meaningless partisan games. They do not believe or even care about what they say.

The two latest of the army on both sides, Gsheridan and Captain America I both know of from the past. And they do believe in what they say, I can respect those that believe even though they seem to be far out there at times. Both I have had run-in with, but never found a disrespect for them.. G and Capt are the very end of the spectrum, you know the ones your mother warned you about.

As I said, I can respect someone that truly believes in what they are saying even if it is not based on reality or the available facts. But there is not respect for someone that simply said something to inflame about a subject that has a dire effect upon the country. They are just a different version of traitor….

“Bio-diesel hybrids and why you should fire your Congressperson”

    http://www.soultek.com/clean_energy/hybrid_cars/bio_diesel_hybrid_cars_why_you_should_fire_your_congress_person.htm

In the United States there are only three new cars available that get more than 40 miles per gallon on average.

    In Europe, there are 113.

It is no wonder that we are so firmly attached to the foreign oil teat.

If you sold Scion xB’s with a bio diesel hybrid powertrain you could become a ka-billionaire overnight.

That’s totally wrong, Woof, but an old bud of mine showed up here yesterday with some pertinent criticism, she said I was ’slipping.’ She was right.

I’ve allowed myself to be dragged down into the mire with the bottom-feeding liberals.

It’s a game that is easy to get sucked into – and I did, but I’m going to try to stay a step ahead of the fray from this point on.

I’ve always enjoyed ‘mixing it up’ but it does get out of hand here. And I’m a little surprised the Eagle allows it – but…go figure.

I have a feeling they may not support the Liberal bullies that had staked claim to this board as much as some believe.

But, I could be wrong…..only time will tell.

1096 – good to see you, girl. You were dead on. Thanks for bringing me back to reality.

Thanks JR. I do appreciate your words.

As far as WS taking offense to my term “black liar” I really don’t care if he is offended or not. He spews forth vitrolic insults daily, making personal attacks because someone has a different viewpoint that he does. That seems quite childish. It also proves he can dish it out, but certainly cannot take it.

FYI..the term ‘black liar’ is a colloquialism, used by Robert Duvall’s character in the epic mini series, “Lonesome Dove”. It has nothing to do with race, as should be obvious to all. It is used as the opposite of ‘little white lie’ that doesn’t hurt anyone or anything.

I thought something like that was the way of it raptor.I will make sure that WS finds your explanation. DO remember raptor, that it is posters on your “side” of ideals that are mostly responsible for the trolling and other bad behavior. Hit a lick against them when ya get the chance.

My nic was hijacked twice the other day by someone making racist remarks. It would have been nice if someone other than me had noticed and denounced the behavior.
