A Kline mural in the Statehouse?

“You see John Brown over here holding it up,” said James Conrad, pastor at First Baptist Church in Shawnee, during the anti-abortion rally at the Statehouse Tuesday, pointing to the mural of the abolitionist holding a Bible. “I really would like to see a mural of (former Attorney General) Phill Kline holding it up right next to John Brown over here, because Phill Kline upholds the word.”

Kline at his March 25th Town Hall Meeting: “I am tired of our inability to discuss substantive issues.”

This sophomoric blog posting was to mock Kline, but otherwise serves no useful purpose. Journalism is about name calling and petty issues?

Harpooning is nothing new among Journalists. I suppose one has to ask themselves, what is the prize that one gets after said action.

Perhaps it is hanging your hat on a Journalistic peg or is it more like 38 caliber exclamation point.

Isn’t there some policy about having to be dead for a while before you get put on a statehouse mural? Kline is unfortunately alive, but if we offer a portrait of his fat ego, he’d likely jump at the chance to provide us with his corpse!

Conrad’s statement makes something from the Bible about false idols come to mind.

And Conrad’s stupid hyperbole is important, uh, just why?

This is the best piece of “news” you could suggest to write about, Phillip? Kline is old news – the election’s long since over, and thus the topic won’t generate the responses it has in the past.

Find some new meat to throw.

I haven’t gotten much done. Basically nothing noteworthy going on right now, but shrug. I can’t be bothered with anything recently. I guess it doesn’t bother me. Maybe tomorrow. I feel like a bunch of nothing.

When will the WE post facts since the odds of this happening are worse than winning the Powerball, which is pretty low.

When the WE start focusing on real issues? Not just the bad ones, but the good ones as well? Oh, I forgot, good news is not as profitable as bad news or sensationalism. Or dramatizations. A horrible story, lets make it seem much worse so we can sell more papers.

Whatever happened to “Just the facts”
