Thousands of USA Weapons Missing In Iraq
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2006-10-29-missing-weapons_x.htm
“Why can’t we just improve government programs? The answer is simple: force never works. Not only is coercion morally wrong, unjust and unfair; it is also inefficient. Any businessman knows that success can only be achieved by giving people what they want, not by trying to intimidate them. In other words it is impossible to reform the government schools. And the problem is not the teachers, or the administrators, or even the bureaucrats. The problem is the system. It simply doesn’t work.”
Wichita EAGLE editors offer few blog threads regarding the proposed 1/4 billion dollar downtown white elephant arena. So I encourage WE Blog readers to review the arena blog site, now about 1/2 way down, grotesquely mislabeled by the esteemed left wing editorial writer, Ms. Rhonda Holman, “Good to see disputed arena sites moving to resolution.”
Comments thereon including mine offer a plethora of practical reasons why the arena SHOULD BE HALTED IMMEDIATELY until the public can weigh in on what to do about this gigantic boondogle with their hard earned sales tax money.
Every day, more and more operational problems appear that need fixing with tax dollars. One of the latest is the critical need to repair Wichita State University’s school buildings and infrastructure.
The list is long and desperate for fixing things in Sedgwick County but … NO … the idiot $250,000,000.57 arena trumps all the other actual needs.
Do Sedgwick County citizens need to gather around the downtown courthouse with protest signs screaming to stop this arena monster?
WOULD SOMEBODY GO IN AND WAKE UP COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DAVID UNRUH, TOM WINTERS AND TIM NORTON? TELL THEM A MAJOR DISCONNECT EXISTS HERE.
Of course, maybe they are too busy counting snacks and perks of their holdover taxpayer-paid elected offices.
Give it up JWink, the Arena is going to be constructed as planned. The voters spoke in 2004 when they cast their ballots in favor of the increased sales tax to fund the project. We don’t get to “re-vote” on issues we don’t like just because you whine about it on the WEblog. Get a grip man!
I think anon is going to make the same comments every day till someone takes him seriously?
Are you going to make this thread into a “bash public schools” thread p-mom?
It’s plainly obvious that anon and anyone else in this blog who refers to PUBLIC schools as “government” schools has an agenda to divert tax dollars to the private sector. Let’s look at the current “private contractor” frenzy in the Bush misAdministration. That’s working out just “HOW?” for the US taxpayers?
Apophis: I did enjoy your debates with old Heartlander regarding education issues and wondered whether you and Heartlander had left town.
Regarding the proposed arena, the bloated and callous spending of tax payer dollars is anti-education, anti-taxpayer and anti-democratic. I suggest you go back and read Alexis DeToqueville’s “Democracy in America” for his thoughts on “tyranny of the majority.” Here in Wichita, its also tyranny by the outsider hired “cap guns.”
I personally believe the arena has virtually no chance of actually being constructed. Its now in a phase where a lot of tax grabbers are frantically spending arena money before the arena withers up on the vine.
Got to leave for breakfast at the R. Cafe.
Um, apophis, it’s anonymous who is bashing upon the public schools. He has every single day in the open thread.
Before you attack me, learn to read.
JWink – I have to agree with Apophis that this thing won’t be revoted and will be built. Never mind the reality that what we have now has mutated much from what was voted upon. 30% higher up-front costs and parking/reserve slashed by two-thirds. And, both here on the Blog and with Crowson’s cartoon we see another trend developing: When this thing fails they will blame it on US. Right here I have been told that I am respomsible to make it work; that questioning its value is somehow “unpatriotic”.
When this thing needs large operating subsidies (remember, they promised a $23,611,000 Reserve fund) we should loudly remind them that they had promised that the original cost ($184,518,000) provided for that reserve, And, if the reserve is not there – let THEM figure out how to support it – WITHOUT additional tax money.
I do know how to read p-mom. I wasn’t trying to get into a pissing contest with you. But, from the wording of your post it was difficult to tell if you were supporting his view or what. Considering the posts you’ve made recently about the proposed required vaccinations, I think I’m allowed my own interpretation of anything you put into writing.
OK guys, here’s a TTBOI you may not here in the local news.
Every year the Wichita Kennel Club, the Hutchenson Kennel Club and the Salina Kennel Club along with the Wichita DOg Training Club get together and put on two three day dog shows. One in Wichita in April and one in Salina in September.
When two or more kennel clubs get together and put on dog shows on two or more consecutive days it’s called a ‘cluster’. The cluster in April is the “Sunflower Cluster”.
Last year at the Westminster Dog Show one of the clusters that are held throughout the nation every year was honored as the best. Last year it was the one held in Chicago. We were second.
His year, the Sunflower Cluster held here in Wichita last April is in the top five finalists. Two years in a row we have been selected in the top five! Last year Chicago, Houston, Westminster and one in California were in the top five. We came in second.
We have consistantly been ranked as one of the top ten dog shows in the nation the past several years. When you realize that theeare several hundred clusters held every year, that is something for Wichita and Kansas to be proud of!
Hank
thanks for the info, Hank…nice to learn something positive here instead of all the hatred and negativity!
Don’t ever give it up JWink! Sadly, I have to agree with Ben that it will be built. But what is happening has nothing to do with what was approved by voters. That’s the part we can’t forget and need to remind everyone of. These County Commissioners are out of control. We are their bosses so it’s about time we reminded them. If only we could get the attention of the collective (we the bosses and voters and those that don’t vote). That’s why I appreciate every word you post. Maybe you’ll reach a new person and by next election we the voters will be strong enough to unelect our out of control so-called representatives.
Hank, Please let us know the when and where of this year’s April dog show. I would love to get it on my calendar so I won’t miss it.
Here’s an idea, truth be told. You don’t like where you “tax” dollars are going. Buy all of your goods and services off of the internet.Truth be told, the voter approved arena is being paid for by SALES tax. This way, truth be told, you will no longer be a part of the problem. And while you are at it, you may also attempt to get any funding you’d like on ballots via the same means and funding, truth be told, we will see how those go over.
Truth be told, they should put the funding of the war on the ballot. Truth be told, buying groceries on the internet from out-of-state is not realistic. Truth be told, if we can get out of paying the taxes we become no longer a part of the SOLUTION, not the problem. Truth be told, it is the Communist Arena that is the problem, not the taxpayer.
Hank – thanks for the good news about the dog show. I hope they have a lot of ‘real dogs’ rather than those ‘drowned rats’ we see so much.
Truth be told, the hardest to find service via the internet is utilities and costly gasoline.Food services are readily available (schwans an example).
Truth be told, those against funding of the war are those who do not believe we are at war.Being misguided is your right as an American. One you would lose to militant Islam.
You have to wonder about the future of the Sunflower cluster dog shows.
Talk of the end of the Coliseum/Britt Brown arena means they could not be held there.
And the new white elephant arena certainly is not a viable venue.
SO Wichita may lose this successful event. Another sacrifice to the arena.
Truth be told, if I buy groceries from Schwan I pay sales tax. In fact, if I buy other items from out-of-state I am liable for Compensating Use Tax. Truth be told, that is why there is Line 18 on K-40.
“The Truth”?
We are not at war.
No, jr, we are at war. It’s the democrat party that is not.
blogs dumbest poster fleetie
Please provide a link or other proof that the United States has legally and officially declared war.
You can’t do that.
Ok so provide proof that the United States in under the threat of an organixed and substantial threat.
Dang, Hank, who wudda thunk it – something that you and I can agree on!
Dogs!
And I didn’t even know that there was a major dog show in Wichita.
I lost my beloved Golden Retriever to cancer ten months ago. Rocky was only eight years old. I still miss him everyday.
Dogs rule!
Fleet said, “It is the democratic party that is not” at war. Usually, I say nothing about idiotic statements like this that are designed to provoke a response, instead of advancing an understanding of the facts. But you should be ashamed of yourself.
Such arrogance you display to claim only unto yourself and the Republican Party the privilege to want to protect our ports, cities, landmarks, power plants and – most importantly our families- from terrorist attack! Hell, even Pres. Bush now is admitting that it is not unpatriotic to debate differences over how to conduct the war. Under what rock were you hiding when he said so?
How many living veterans of WWII and Korea do you think are Democrats? How many Vietnam Era vets do you think are Democrats? How many vets of Desert Storm, and the current conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan do you think are members of the Democratic Party? How many of all these vets do you think are proud of their affiliation with the Democratic Party? I will assure you that there are millions, and they helped to elect a new Democratic Congress.
There were dozens of veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan who ran for Congress in 2006 as Democrats who were upset with the way that the Bush ADmin. has mismanaged EVERY aspect of the current conflict.
Do you think new Virginia Sen. Webb thinks that we should turn over the rest of the world to Al Quaeda? He was Sec. of the Navy under President Reagan. How about retired General Wesley Clark, or Sen. John Murtha from Penn? Of course not. And a hell of a lot of Republicans are also opposed to escalation of the conflict, because there is no reasoned analysis that shows that another troop increase (remember that there already was a troop increase late last year) will change the situation on the ground. So said the Iraq Study Group – a bipartisan committee of patriots from both parties.
So, Fleet, you succeeded in provoking my response.
Kelly:You are my hero!I too usually let Mr. Fleetwood’s insults roll off, but I appreciate your taking time to let him and the rest of his ilk know that as democrats we take pride in our patriotism and our system of democracy.
Hank,
Congratulations to you and all the others involved in the shows!! I’m sure a LOT of work goes into them.
Someone down at the end of my street always has a sign in their yard about one of the dog shows. Is it Wooffest? Something like that. Is that a part of one of the groups you mentioned?
I don’t get out to a lot of things. There just isn’t time. (Right now, I’m missing sleep and still not catching up with everything.) I’ll definitely put one of those shows on my list of things to do in the future.
Yes, please post here when the next one comes along!
The only vote regarding the arena was the last one, deciding how the arena would be paid for. How many yea/nay votes did the people (city and/or county) get on whether to build it or not before that? I was in the county, but I don’t remember any.
I told my daughters at the time we vote (sales tax vs. property tax) that it appeared the arena would be built, no matter what, and we were only to decide on how it would be funded. What did I miss?
rox – there had been earlier attempts that had failed. Then they had their big Dynaplex thing that they abandoned. Finally this one that narrowly passed.
Of course, what we are now looking at is a LOT different than what was voted on.
There are also many many many democrats that are over there fighting this misbegotten war right this minute.
Fleets enema is an idiot.
Apophis, how could you take anything I wrote in that to mean I was supporting his view? And how does my view on vaccines have ANYTHING to do with this?
If you think it’s crazy that I feel the way I do about vaccines, that’s fine, but don’t come crying to me when it’s your child who has been affected and you do the legwork to find out you’ve also not been told the whole truth.
I do have a laundry list of things I don’t like about public schools. But it’s nothing I think would be cured with waivers.I want to strengthen public schools, not dismantle them.
Okay, folks, I just noticed this post by JM on another thread:
“I was there at 6:15 and no one was at the front door but a bag/cart boy moving carts.
I waited 15 more minutes.”
Ah, ha! I saw you then. You are medium height man with a ring of white hair wearing a black raincoat.
And . . . you’re WHITE.
So that proves it. When JM as Eier said he was “a black man,” that was a blatant lie.
Not only that, it demeans the experience of real blacks who do have to live in a society with vestiges of racism (prime example–Ian The Idiot Santiago).
It’s like me saying I was a Col. in the Air Force and I was shot down over North Vietnam.
It demeans the experience of the people who really live it.
Let the record show, JM = liar.
Maybe that has something to do with The Eagle trying to ban him.
Unfortunately, they have been apparently unsuccessful.
Did I mention that I bought MicroSoft when it was 20 cents a share and my current wife is Catherine Zeta-Jones?
I also received the Congressional Medal of Honor not once but twice, I was the model for “Batman,” I speak 20 languages like a native, I built my own house, wired, plumbed, and installed the heat & air myself.
I am licensed to fly jet aircraft, I am a consultant for high-energy physics for MIT researchers, and I’m in the Guiness Book of World Records for having the largest . . . uh . . . “member” ever recorded.
I won the most recent world tournaments in Texas Hold ‘Em poker, 9 ball pool, and amateur golf.
My latest book was on the NY Times best-seller list for 49 weeks, and my portrait is soon going to be on a US stamp.
******
Hehehe, I’m JM.
You saw me did you now Capn? I’m 76 inches tall, with a full beard and neck-length hair; both dirty blonde and Grey. I weigh about 275 lbs. As I said before, I look kind of sasquatch, a hairy man.
I was in my car when I entered the parking lot about 6:15 didn’t see any one at the front door but a bagger guy. Figured I was late as I had to come out of town to get there. And where are you getting this ‘black’ man stuff. Not that there is anything wrong with being black.
I did see a Joe Paterno look-alike, glasses and all, leaving the store, but figured that old fart couldn’t be you as you said you were a wrestler. If that guy wrestled in college it was 50 years ago at a lightweight class.
Hey RD, linda,
Woolfstock is a fund raiser for the Humane Society in the fall. It’s held at the Sedgwick CO park. Last year Samson and I helped John Mannebach from Colwich do instinct testing. We raised almost $900 I think.
The April dog show is on the 5th through the 8th. It’s free. As of now, I don’t think they are even charging for parking.
If you have never been to a dog show, you will be overwhelmed by ours! We offer:
Agility. Three days of AKC agility trials. There will be two rings of agility going on at the same time with some of the top dogs in the country participating.
Obedience. We usually have 6 rings of AKC obedience going all three days. We offer competition in all of the AKC events.
Conformation. Of course we will have conformation. We have been averaging around 2200 to 2400 dogs entered in conformation, one of the largest entries in the country. Many of the dogs that you will see next Monday and Tuesday on TV at Westminster will be here in Wichita competing at our show.
Herding. This year there will be three AKC herding trials, two in Saturday and one on Sunday. This year it will be AKC A Course sheep. Everyone is familiar with Border Collies, but this is an all breed herding trial and there will be several of the herding dogs competing.
Lure Coursing. This is the AKC event for sight hounds. This event always fill up early, so there will be three days of lure coursing.
Art Show at the Dog Show. This is an event that we work on all day long, terminating in a three day show at the coloseum. This is the largest and longest running, juried, annual art show dedicated solely to canine art in the world. It attracts artists from all over the world. Some of the best there is. People come from across the nation just to see this art show!
Venders. There will be over 50 venders thatcater to the dog lover. Every thing that you could possibly ever want for your dog. Pig’s ears to original gold jewelry!
The grooming areas are open to the public. You can walk around and talk to the exhibitors. The catalog will be on line so if you have a favorite breed you can look it up and see when and where it will be shown.
Hank
Truth be told, militant Islam declared war on the United States and its interest in 1996, officially.Unofficially this can be traced as early as 1972.Truth be to,d, if the Congress of the United States has not declared war, this does not mean it is not a reality.
Crap, JM, you said – you promised – that you were leaving the WE Blog – don’t tell us – please don’t tell us – please don’t disappoint us – please tell us that you are REALLY going to go this time.
Please!!!!!!!!!
Please, JM, don’t lie to us this time!!!!!
Please tell us that, this time, you are really leaving for good!!!!
Hey Clark!
I’m sure there’s a lot we can agree on! Dogs are a common denominator that bring people together.
The Wheatland Golden Retriever Club has its regional specialty on Thursday afternoon or evening. I’ll look up the exact time for you when the catalog is available.
So ther will be a lot of Goldens there! Some of the very best in the country.
I’m sorry for your loss. We don’t get to keep them nearly long enough.
Hank
Looked up last year’s stats, 68 Goldens were entered!
Hank
pmom………………..waivers are just another word for vouchers. You have just shown your true colors. Any credibility you might have had is definitely gone.
As to the vaccination question; I have vaccinated all of my children with every vaccine available at the time. If I had a daughter that was nearing middle school age, I would insist on this anti-cancer vaccine. All of my daughters are past that age now, but I will encourage them to be vaccinated anyway. I am well aware of the inherent risks of vaccinations. Sad as it is, there will always be some risk. Such is life.
Hank pretty well covered the dog show.
There are some things you will see that you won’t like though.
Dogs left alone for hours at a time on grooming tables. This is common. Dogs who at the end of the day are left at the venue in small kennels while their owners leave. Also more common then kind. You may even see the occasional dog who does not win it’s confirmation treated shabbily by a cranky handler. I saw that only once though.
BUT I am not sure if it is still free parking.
I understand at some point the Coliseum plans to charge $5 for parking.
If you’ve NEVER been or are interested in a particular breed, $5 is not too much. I’ve been before and likely will not go if they charge for the parking.
Hank, Goldens are the best breed ever. My Rocky was the most loved dog on the planet. My granddaughter used him as a couch, a mattress and a recliner. He loved her and she loved him like there was no tomorrow.
She still talks about Rocky like he was a god. I know that it is a small thing, but she learned a lot from the Rock Dog. She learned love, tolerance and understanding from that golden fur ball.
I miss him and I know that he is waiting for me across the Rainbow Bridge.
One day…….
I knew it! Too good to be true! Goldens the best breed ever?
Wait until you meet my Beardies!
Hank
Hank may be able to expand on this.
At some shows they need volunteers. There is no pay but I think they feed you dinner.
Damn, I love dogs so much I would work for free, no dinner.
HOWEVER – we can discuss the merits of Goldens v. Beardies until the cows come home!!!!
Goldens are the Kings and Queens!!!
It’s all about cats. ;D
Hank – agree that goldens are great – can’t say the greatest, just don’t know. I like all the real dogs – shephards, huskies, samoyeds, retrievers of all sorts. They make great aid dogs and also great kid dogs.
J R – they feed you dinner … kibbles?
;^)
Every dog should have a cat …
So JM claims he didn’t get out of the car.
Yeah, that sounds about right.
So I didn’t see you then.
And, no, I don’t wear Joe Paterno glasses . . . no resemblance.
*****
But there’s still this unfortunate post:
CF,
Maybe this black man doesn’t need to provide you with an excuse using the “poor me” method of debating.
You make your own enemies CF by your own design and methods.
Posted by: Eier | February 06, 2007 at 03:43 PM
*****
When you refused to answer CF if you were Eier, you confirmed that you were.
Note–when you’re in a hole, stop digging.
Most of our volunteers are club members, however, all of our inside ring stewards are volunteers. And we feed them lunch!
You do have to know a little to be an inside ring steward. We give a couple of classes before the show each year.
We hire Girl Scouts for outside ring stewards on Saturday and Sunday and home schoolers on Friday when the Girl Scouts are in school. We hire 4-Hers for pooper scoopers and ring ‘accident’ cleanup.
We also provide free booths to local animal charitable organizations.
Hank
And btw, goldens and beardies are fine for ORDINARY people, but if you the smartest, most physical dog alive, there’s only one choice: the magnificient grey WEIMARINER.
Worked part time for a Veterinarian a long time ago. Had my fill of dogs and cats and sorry show dog owners.
Almost as bad as show horse owners, not quite, but almost.
Helped dock a lot of tails, crop some ears and gave diethylstilbestrol to some pure breeds when rover jumped the fence and got fifi. :)
No doubt CapnAmerica.
You probably think I anyone who ever has posted here on WE Blog you are so paranoid. I have to laugh sometimes when you, WSClark and J R point out who you think is trolling. You probably know who it is because you are the ones that are doing. Very sophisticated I must say, but it doesn’t interest me.
Note: When your a paranoid like CapnAmerica – seek professional help.
It figure that JM would put a damper on the conversation.
Golden rule – Goldens are gods – Goldens are why the Earth exists!!!!!
Who needs JM?
Let’s get serious – if the world was ruled by Golden Retrievers, we would all live in peace!!!!
Of course, the Milk Bone/Science Diet diet would get a little boring after a while.
Rocky Dog for President!!!!
Why did I KNOW that Joe was a “cat person”?
ALL dogs are great.
EXCEPT pit bulls. THEY need some serious genetic repair for what has been done to them.
But the BEST breed of dog is the Shih Tzu.
Dogs are like chili. There is none as good as your own!
Hank
PS, I make the best chili too!
Bull pucky, Hank!!!!
I make the world’s best chili!!!!
I have won chili cook offs in the past. I have almost as many chili cook off trophies as I have Texas Hold ‘em trophies!
Hank
PS I’m better at poker than anyone here.
I’ll vote for Labs…they’re the most loyal, good natured, and they’re great with kids.My daughter has a beautiful yellow lab, he’s so responsible that he’s been entrusted with raising my grandson.
Hey Mary!
Can’t wait to see your tan lines! You do have tan lines don’t you?
Labs are good companions for children, but if you want a dog that will go and herd them home, beardies rule!
Hank
Chili or Goldens, Hank…I have you beat.
My chili is the absolute best ever.
Goldens are the absolute best ever.
No discussion.
Yew haw!!!!!!
In all seriouslinessicousisly, Hank, any dog lover cannot be a bad man. Ever.
But that does not mean that you can cook chili!
Ha!
Shih Tzu? I thought you guys were talking about real dogs, JR. (kidding)
I have to endorse WS’s choice. We’ve owned several breeds and our Golden tops them all. Beautiful, smart, and a great, laid back, temperament. Plus not so energetic that they drive you crazy like some breeds.
“that they drive you crazy like some breeds.”
So, you are saying, Outlander, that I cannot blame the fact that I am crazy on my (departed) Golden Retreiver?
Dang, that was going to be my defense.
Shoot.
“Worked part time for a Veterinarian a long time ago. Had my fill of dogs and cats and sorry show dog owners.”
Yeah, sure, JM.
We’re you white or black then?
Oh, wait, it’s Saturday, so you’re white today.
Did your old black grandma “axe” you to work there?
What a maroon.

(This could be fun!)
CapnAmerica sounds jealous that I was a lowly vet tech a very long time ago. That’s quite troubling.
CapnAmerica must not have fulfilled his dream and is still living at home with his momma.
Besides CapnAmerica, If you can prove I am whoever you said I am, go ahead and post all IP numbers right here on the blog that you who you think I am.
If you can provide the IP numbers, that means someone from WE Blog is providing you with private information.
If you can’t provide the IP numbers, then it means your full of crap.
The latter would also mean that CapnAmerica is what I said he is; a lunatic who has a dangerous form of paranoid Schizophrenia and is in need of a immediate attention from a mental health professional.
JM,CapnCrunch is meaningless.

Hey popup! why don’t you IP block this IP if you know so much.
If you do then I can prove to the Wichita Eagle Publisher that you are playing favorites by only IP blocking those on the right side. I already emailed him about this.

“and my portrait is soon going to be on a US stamp.”
So you’re dead, too, huh?
I’m a cat lover…except for this psycho cat on my lap right now.
But I love dogs, too, although I like ‘em big.
Hank,
I’ll certainly keep the dates in mind in April. (Thanks for clearing up the wooffest goof. Above mentioned cat was from the Humane Society.) However, my memory is pitiful, so I’ll need a reminder.
We watch the Westminster show on Turkey Day each year. It’s even better than the parades!
I know I got in on this discussion late, but I’m here to bring the German Shepherd to the front.
My GSD outranks, outsmarts, outloves, outtasks, ALL of your dogs :D :D :D.
Apophis, I can’t believe I’m having this conversation with you of all people.
Waivers can mean vouchers (in a roundabout sense), but in English, many words have dual meanings. Google the term ‘religious waiver vaccine’ then get back to me on how wrong I am.
Then I suggest you look in the dictionary for the word ‘waiver’.
JM<—-@#@#((&$#(&#$(*&#!!!!

Yup, you win, JM.
Your typical republiCON defense that “you can’t completely prove it; therefore, I’m still right” isn’t working anymore.
Everybody sees you for what you are.
Just because the evidence isn’t strong enough to convict you in a court of law (see O.J. Simpson), doesn’t mean you didn’t troll yourself as a black man and everybody on the WEBlog knows it.
That’s why you never would answer a straight-up question put to you.
You had told so many lies as the mythical JM and his troll variations, you couldn’t keep them all straight.
But you win, JM. You win.
JM… what a loser.
I have put that guy and GS up against the wall before, and what did they do?
They ignored me, they did not directly concede the point, they did not “show me their stuff”. Their silence only further discredits their arguments, and deep down in their twisted minds, they know this. What I don’t understand is how they can know they have lost an argument but still fail to ACCEPT IT.
But notice how JM pounces on some guy who posts stupid little troll things about HIM! But JM fails to note the hypocracy…
It just further shows their stubborn, untenable views are based more on rhetoric, spin, and misinformation than anything you can hold up with a logical, reasonable argument.
Hank, my tan lines are already starting to fade, it was nice to be in the heat for a change…Palau is beautiful, the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen…got to see some cool wrecks under the water, including a Japanese plane that got shot down. The diving was fantastic. The place is dirt poor, the cost of living is like the USA, food and clothing cost the same as here, and gas is almost $4 a gallon…but the average wage is $1.75 per hour and there aren’t many jobs. Tourism hasn’t really taken off there, but there is a new hotel and one resort being built. Only the Palauan’s can own the land, but some are being backed by outside investors.I kiss the ground and thank God every time I come home…we live in the best country in the world.
Quite adventurous Andrew and perhaps over confident.
As a retired E-8 I perhaps could know about more about the military than you might guess I know.
And perhaps because I am 35-45 years older than you I might know a little more about life than you.
And perhaps just because I don’t answer a post on a blog from people I don’t really know doesn’t indicate anything one way or the other.
And perhaps I answer some posts to prevent those for running me down in their own version of an imaginary pecker measuring contest.
What can I do with the results from these blogs? Is it worth a cup of coffee? Can I take my blog entries and cash it in down at the blogs.
I challenge those that need challenging. If I find the post obscurely unreasonable, most of the time I won’t reply to it, because I have considered the source and found it logically wanting.
There are some piles that you just don’t want to step in.
Andrew, be careful over there and you only have a few months left to come back to the world. :)
Andrew, you’re a good example of why women should run the world…guys can’t even reasonably discuss issues without getting into a pissing match.Your egos are you’re downfall.
That should be “your egos”, sorry.
I mean’t “your downfall”!!!
“As a retired E-8 I perhaps could know about more about the military than you might guess I know.
“And perhaps because I am 35-45 years older than you I might know a little more about life than you.”
. . . . .
Right, Andrew. That’s what he is TODAY.
But other days, he helped secure sites for Presidential visits. He says he’s going to ignore my posts forever. He says he won’t stoop to name-calling and belittlement and then he goes on a vicious name-calling rampage and stomps off “never to return to the blog.”
Then there are those times during the full moon when he becomes BLACK with an old black grandma cooking up grits and collard greens, apparently.
Why should anyone believe anything you say anymore, JM?
CapnAmerica
You are some piece of work and know one really cares about your rants and raves of paranoia.
As far as believing me, if I’m so unbelievable why waste the time confronting me about issues. :)
Face it CapnAmerica, you need a boogie man to make your life complete. Your paranoid ways have identified me as your latest boogie man and you want to make the most of your conspiracy theories so you can rant and rave and try to make it believable.
What will you do when I’m gone? :)
Besides Capn, if you only knew how many retired military live in and around Wichita, you might reconsider your thinking.
Probably not though, you want to look for conspiracy and can’t believe anyone has actually done something outside the doors and windows of their own house. heh
“What will you do when I’m gone? :)”
For Christ’s sake, JM, leave already!!!
You have been telling us that you’re going, so %&@@#* GO!!!!
“What will you do when I’m gone? :)”
Well, there again, JM,
that assumes that you are actually going to do what you say . . .
And the pissing match goes on, and on, and on……
