After the Kansas Supreme Court’s dismissal last week of his case against Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller, former Attorney General Phill Kline issued a short statement suggesting that current Attorney General Paul Morrison is corrupt. Kline then released a long response to pro-life supporters in which he outlined the substance of his case.
He alleged that “Tiller performed the abortions based on a diagnosis that the mother would otherwise suffer severe depression, single episode depression, anxiety disorder or, in other cases, adjustment disorder if the abortion was not performed.” Kline said Kansas law allows late-term abortions only if the mental health issue for the mother is substantial and irreversible, and he contends that these conditions don’t qualify.
Kline has previously argued that the law allows for no mental health exception, even though former Gov. Bill Graves, the state Supreme Court and a Kansas Board of Healing Arts ruling all have said otherwise. Morrison’s office is still reviewing the cases to determine whether any crimes did, in fact, take place.
Kline ended his response with this exhortation to the pro-life community: “Do not lose hope. Deception has always been a part of this issue, and each step we take to reveal the truth is a positive step. We must keep moving forward, and there are a lot of things yet to be done that are consistent with the law, our responsibilities and the truth. Stand firm!”

The only real concern here is who is deceiving whom. It appears that Mr. Klink is as out of touch now as when Kammadant of Stalag 13.
I am not sure whom he really is referring to when he mentions deception, but I believe the voters of Kansas were aware of whom was being deceptive in the office of Attorney general. It is disheartening when those claiming to be acting upon God’s behalf choice the very “human” route of being deceptive in their ways.They give a whole new meaning to the scripture about “All fall short of the gory of God”.
Why can’t we find some way to rid Kansas of this man? The voters don’t trust him and he has done nothing but cause trouble and waste taxpayer’s money since being foisted on the people of Johnson county. Seems strange that when the voters speak in this state, no one listens and nothing changes. The good ole boy network certainly works well here, but not for the people.

Ironic. I know it wasn’t intentional writerdog, but “gory” rather than “glory” is so appropriate when speaking about what goes in Tiller’s Fun House and Abortuarium.

I don’t think lying is funny, especially when it serves to reinforce negative and unjustified stereotypes.
I don’t know what church you go to that says “lie your way out of any situation,” but mine says John 8:44 “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Why not take a different tac? Advocate for (I gotta use a bad word here) welfare and social justice that creates a society where every life is cherished? YOU know, actually do something about a consequence(unwanted pregnancy) as opposed to fighting activity(sex) you dont like?

First Kline claimed that the mental health exception did not exist. Then, when he is shown conclusively that he was lying, he changes course and claims the diagnosis is not correct. So Kline has admitted that he tried deception once, he is now doing it again.

I think that is solid. When the “mental health” defense is thrown in, everything is thrown in. I’m all for the “health of the mother” deal. As I have said before, I am a 3 month pro choicer. After that, I get more committed. For crying out loud, she knows she’s pregnant after 4-6 weeks? There is still a good month and a half to make a decision.
Except for the inconsistancy of the “when life begins” deal, which I can live with, I don’t know why this wouldn’t work.

Though, I don’t get the quote and the relationship to me.

No enema, not everyone knows they are pregnant right away.
Some keep having menstrual cycles even when pregnant, some are young and aren’t already into normal cycles and skipping is normal. Some are older and missing a cycle is not a cause for alarm either. There are disorders that cause cycles to be skipped too.
Remember that girl that died from the complications of her abortion? Are you saying that she could know she was pregnant, or the parents know?
That’s just ONE example.

I know that you are all pro-lifers. Because must of you guys are christians, I hope you understand what will happen if they band Abortion in the USA. YOu will hear many stories of babies in the trash. Or found behind an ally or in some shallow grave dug out back someones house. This is not stuff I am making up this has already happened. Also who will end up payiong for all the unwanted children.
