Wanted: a winning slogan for Brownback

Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback will officially kick off his presidential campaign Saturday in Topeka. He already has an exploratory committee and a Web site, but he has yet to unveil a slogan, something snappy, defining and inspiring. Who better to recommend some to him than his Kansas constituents? Some possibilities to get the party started: “The Right Stuff.” “All the Right Moves.” “Brownback to the Future.”
Your turn.
Meanwhile, in an interview in the National Catholic Register, headlined “The Next Catholic President?” Brownback defined his candidacy this way: “I’ll be the only person at the core of the campaign who will be pushing for the reform of the family and restoration of the culture and human dignity at all phases of life.”

You have got to be kidding me; there is NO-WAY that the people would want a religious conservative to be a president again!Brownback is completely out-of-touch with the real world.

ID advocates now sit on state and local boards, in state houses, and in seats of the U.S. Congress. Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) is a strong opponent of evolution. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) is an ID advocate with close ties to CSC fellows. He introduced language in the U.S. Senate’s No Child Left Behind Act language that sanctioned teaching the “controversy” surrounding evolution; it passed the Senate by a preliminary vote of 91 to 8

What’s really funny is just having him run.

The Republican party is run by powerful interests who choose the candidate.

How do you think we got the unqualified idiot Bush over the experienced McCain?

They want somebody who has dedicated his life to making the rich richer.

Brownback has only followed, not led, on the key Republican issue of amassing wealth for the wealthy.

Brownback should just save himself time and money and not run at all. The now Liberal Kansas won’t let him. He’ll get accused of be a man of Christianity (horror!) and conservative values (more horror!.)

I guess we conservatives should be good little citizens and just sit in a corner.

The Silent Majority will once again grow in numbers, studying the landscape and then surprise the oppressors of our beliefs with astounding power of the vote.

One should not have to run on being a Christian. They should run on their ability to lead this country and to make choices based on what is right for EVERYONE, not just his right wing buddies.

THAT is why he won’t get elected.

His religion should have very little to do with his campaign, but the fact that it does is EXACTLY why he should lose.

That is reality. What’s the first thing that gets brought up with Brownback? His conservative values based on his Christian background.

One has to deny the existence of God in order to be in politics these days.

JM – I have no problem with conservatives but I do have a problem when that person is constantly trying to preach down to everyone else.

What I see as being wrong in the last several years has been this Christian Conservativde movement that makes issues like gay marriage the central issue of a campaign. That is just stupid to me. Our country is in a war that is going badly because of mismanagement and the only issue that warrants Brownback’s attention was gay marriage?

That’s why I do not think Brownback has a chance. The majority of voters are fed up with the religious intolerance of the Christian Conservatives.

My entry for his slogan is: Brownback…you gotta love the hair

Anyone who would vote for someone who endorses abortion, that is, someone who fights to have even more baby parts sitting in garbages all across America outside of abortion clinics is sick. Someone who wants to protect little helpless defenseless babies is the antithesis of being a bad president. In fact- it’s proof that he cares about the people in his country. One who would dispose of his fellow Americans, big or little, belongs on death row.
