DA <-- an appropriate moniker for that dude (both Drug Abuser and Dumb Ass).

Also, Joe clearly acknowledged that his statements were opinions. We're all entitled to opinions on here - aren't we? In fact, isn't that the nature of this board?

Moreover, there is no "none of your business" on this blog. If it's brought up on the blog, it's anyone's business.

Mr. C: Are you back in Wichita for good or are you moving to the Phillipines? As you might know, Art Bell of the radio show, "Coast to Coast," and his Phillipine bride have moved back to the "high desert" which I presume is in Navada. I occasionally hear a few minutes of that program when my clock radio turns on.

Joe,

I think Mr.C's comment regarding the age differences was for your benefit because of your opinion and the statements you've made in the past.

My oldest daughter's father-in-law is married to a much younger Asian woman. He was military at one time, and I think that has a lot to do with it. Some men prefer a woman who was raised to be more subserviant than most American women. In my opinion, better to marry the kind of person who suits you than to try to change one who doesn't.

Well Mr. C! Glad you didn't get the chance to ruin a young lady's life, in my opinion.

But take Steven Davis's advice. Trying to get somebody over here after just meeting them on the rebound, probably isn't a smart thing to do, in my opinion.

What are you going to do after she get's over here? Dump her after a year or two just to go back and get another? A younger one perhaps? You've done this before right? Dirty old men don't stop, in my opinion.

I unforunantly had to share a class with a dirty old man who would brag about this, back in the day. Dude was approaching late 60's and was on his seventh wife. A 19 year old from Columbia. I was 19 years old at the time and he would always brag that his wife was as young as I was.

Now you are doing to same! Comparing women to my age. You don't know how that statement you made just solidified my opinion about you.

Let's just say that the State Department isn't so loose as they once were with guys doing the women shuffle.

How many rounds are you on? Is this your forth? Fifth?

*DISCLAMIER* The above are opinions!

Fleet, burn my lover never! I still hold myself lucky to have found a Ovation Balladeer I could afford. If it would not be such a real crime to not pass it down to my son who has natural talent on the guitar I would be buried with it! But yes I often ask at the Wal-Mart drug counter if they have gotten any pills in that will help me be a better guitarist? So far ... Ahh no!

Sorry I missed it, but I wouldn't have traded this trip for anything (the second week, anyway).Maybe if we do this in 6-9 months (I also like the idea of an outdoor venue), perhaps there will be a Mrs. Controversy to introduce you all to :)In case some of you haven't heard, my original engagement was broken off last Friday--my 50th birthday, no less. However, one of the drivers at my hotel arranged a blind date with the sister of one of his friends...we were simpatico from the get-go.I am trying to find a computer with enough speed to download the Fiancee Visa application, but the damn thing is such a big file, none of the ISPs here can handle it.BTW, she's older than Williams...hope that doesn't take all the fun out of it ;) LOL

GMC,

I'm not concerned about CCW supporters, but its a legitimate question.

Yeah, yeah the license says State of Kansas, that's everywhere. Signs are meaningless. Security guards or security in any building if they don't search, don't need to know either.

Last night, I sensed no danger but there was a dark parking lot and if gun was left in the car and that got stolen. It you carried, did have that reason. Then again in the dark parking lot to leave.

Don't worry about me wondering, it wasn't a topic I would ask before saying hello and how's it going.

I wouldn't hate if you said yes, taking advantage because your licensed to do so.

Hmmmm

Does the Eagle have one of those "no guns" signs?

I may have to check that out! If they do, well one would have to assume from his previous posts that GMC was NOT carrying.

GMC did not look anything like what I expected by the way. I am not sure what I expected. "Stuffier" looking maybe?

The next meetup will have to work to accomodate kfg and TRACY and if possible RAGE and Tara. And I at least find an outdoor forum better. In proper weather anyway.

I got that impression of values boy myself writerdog. And I thought Rhonda looked a little nervous too!

Ain't it the truth, writerdog. If only I could play like I really want to. If only there was a pill.

Be careful with the Winfield Festival. After seeing all the real guitar players there, you'll want to go home and burn your guitar. What's the use? We'll never be that good.

Well gee what is left to say? At the first one I attended I was not sure if some form of weaponry would be need. But yes, I have found that every meet up since was like the first I attended. A group of people that though they are passionate about their believes and opinions. Are some of the most interesting and pleasant group to spend time with.

meeting some of those I had not met and have come to enjoy their thoughts on here. Was the greatest of honors. To name a few Outlander, Pmom, GMC70, Vaughn, the list goes on. And to meet up with many that have become respected comrades. .. I can never see enough of nor spend enough time with.If Webster needed a photo to put beside the definition of “American”, they need not look beyond a group photo from last night.

Golf nut, I thought I had read you could not make it, If I had know I would have looked you up.I would have like to have met you and see the Hide to Pmom's Jeackle.

Capt, or as I think it was Galahad the first encounter we had, you really should come. I can understand your reluctance, Many on the other end of the spectrum also had their concerns I understand. But Nathan, Hank and the rest of the Extreme right soon found that even their arch foes on the blog were real and honorable people. LOL you would find that most look nothing like you would imagine, Besides, if Pmom and Golf nut can be in the same room and there was no need to dive for cover. How bad could it be for you?

Well I doubt I could match Hank's love of his son, but I would wage that I come close to his pride in Nathan!

Mrs. Writerdog enjoyed herself though she still feels a bit out of place... LoL but there is hope for her.She is starting to come around to my point of view. Boy some times it is like it would be sharing a house with Fleetwood! A moderate and a social conservative under the same roof! Hey if she was a fiscal conservative it would not be so bad! But a RR!

Special kudos to Bret (value boy), he was setting behind me and I could sense at first he was feeling wary. But we all did as virgins to the meet ups, but there was no blood letting.

I look forward to the next meet up, not only yeah, but HELL yeah to Winfield! As a closet guitarist and a fan of any music that is real. I have wanted to go to the Blue grass festival for some time. The music at Watson park was the icing on the cake for me. Now if only I could play as well as I like to play!

Mrage:

"I didn't get to question those newly licensed CCW supporters, if they were."

You didn't ask, but I'll answer. And the answer is: I won't answer. It's carry CONCEALED, remember? I will never answer that question one way or another(except to law enforcement under certain circumstances), and neither should you; I'll simply go or not go accordingly.

I'm sure you wouldn't like that answer, but there ya go. Now- please tell me that wasn't the most important thing you wanted to discuss!!??

Actually, I have to work until 7:30 on Thursdays. (By the time, I got there, it'd be pretty late.)

Then I watched a Japanese anime movie--"Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind"

I've never been much of a meet-up fan, though. I'd rather meet up with the friends I never seem to have time to meet up with . . .

Capn?

Out of the 2000 things you considered what happened between 7:00 and 8:30 last night?

Some couldn't get there because of conflicting responsiblities.

Your "choice" is a particular Wichitans consideration about many projects built for public consumption. Choice not to attend when there is evidence the event is alright and worth being there.

Going continually is something different, that takes being a fan of some event.

Wichitans get tired being fans pretty easily and public facilities in some ways are just "tired" and uncomfortable places for too long.

Meetup wasn't anything nutty.

I didn't get to question those newly licensed CCW supporters, if they were.

The idea of carrying concealed into We Blog meeting, inside the Eagle. Was there a need to do that?

Did it happen?

JR, I did enjoy our brief exchange, and also meeting your son Nathan, who seems like a really good kid.

My nic is a reference to my faith. Outlander is a synonym for foreigner, alien, outsider or stranger. As a Christian, we believe that our home is not of this world. It is just a reminder.

Awww I'll get you to a meetup Capn. I don't think your arrogant at all.

Talked to Phil just a bit about if the eds would come to one of our meetups. He said yeah as long as we gave enough notice. So I'll keep that in mind.

I helped organize one of these things before.......

Hey Julie that baby is adorable. A long time since I seen a baby smile. Sorta renews your sense of hope for the world.

Hey Hank you coulda said hi. I've had my shots and everything!

Outlander? What is the source of that nic? You are wrong on just about everything but you seem an ok guy so I will not see you be treated unfairly.

And I will stop there and acknowledge everyone else when I see them out in the battlefield......or as this thread evolves. Not outta ommission but just because I don't wanna go long here.

Hey editors? Let the spirit of peace from last night color the threads for the weekend. Give us something everyone can agree and work together on.....like say water or something....for the weekend.

Then throw the blood in the water again.
