My oldest daughter’s father-in-law is married to a much younger Asian woman. He was military at one time, and I think that has a lot to do with it. Some men prefer a woman who was raised to be more subserviant than most American women. In my opinion, better to marry the kind of person who suits you than to try to change one who doesn’t.
