I want to know something about the widely used practice of drug testing.If I’m a blue-collar worker (I’m not), and I want a job cleaning the shitters at the courthouse, I have to take a drug screening test to see if I’m moral enough to clean the judge’s poop from the toilet bowl rim right? RIGHT.
Now, I’m paying taxes that pay this judge, prosecuter, mayor, etc.Right? RIGHT.So in effect I’m their employer.Right? RIGHT.Now I wanna know who’s going to drug test these people who are in charge of regulating my behavior?Are they moral enough to stand in judgement of me?Why don’t we apply the same standard to the judge that we ask of the janitor?And people who get public assistance?I’m their benefactor. I stayed off drugs so that I could be the best, most moral crapper cleaner ever.Are they moral enough to recieve my hard earned tax money?Who knows, we don’t test them!

Get clean; take test, clean bowls, and collect the judge piss; have it tested at your own expense (I’ll help pay); then send results to Eagle. Eagle will then communicate to judge; you’ll go to jail for privacy violations. That’s about how it works.

I saw a news item that new County Comm. Kelly Parks wants to re-open the Arena issue. Given the facts that there were numerour rejection votes prior to it passing and that there have been some large changes in the project … should it be re-voted? Will it?
My answers: YES and NO.
I don’t think Kelly Parks will get very far with the arena re-vote but at least he is making headlines but bringing the issue up. I bet Mr. Parks has a target on his back now from the well-connected developers who are fleecing the city for their big boys playground.
I just watched the YouTube video linked above about the Fox Affiliate smearing Barack Obama. That is quite blatant and frankly I hope Obama uses whatever legal avenues open to him to do a little house-cleaning of the Fox News Affiliate official responsible.
To see this clear evidence of a smear attack on a Fox News affiliate against Barack Obama, even before the man declares his candidacy, shouts volumes about the integrity of the GOP (and don’t even start to say that Fox is not owned by the GOP).
I think Obama may not be right for the presidential spot, but I would venture a bet that he will be on the Vice President ticket in 2008. This man transcends color and he reaches all different walks of life. He is a force to reckon with and I’m sure that’s why this particular Fox News Affiliate chose to be such obvious Obama haters.
I saw the youtube/Obamma footage also. It looked like somebody made a mistake that local news is famous for.
Was that smirk on the anchorman’s face also a local mistake? Nice try fleetwood but no cigar.
The majority of voters are waking up to the fact that the Fox News Channel is anything but fair and balanced (I believe that’s why their ratings are falling).
Besides that, the voters are fed up with the lies and cheating being done in politics. This time around the Republicans are going to have to try a novel approach – it is called telling the truth. I do hope your candidates are up to the challenge.
If it was just a local news mistake, then why was it not announced as such? Why doesn’t this news affiliate make it known on their website that there was a mistake made in the Obama footage?
Or was it because they actually meant to do it and thought they could get away with it?
Hillary can’t win, so no one will shut up about her. Edwards might win, but the best bet would be an unknown gov. chosen at the last minute, giving the spin machine less time to stoke up.

Let’s all bash the Mexicans! It seems that more and more of the Nazi radio band (AM as they used to call it) is now dedicated to bashing the Mexicans. I guess with the right wing finally getting clipped in November and having nothing else to talk about, bashing minorities is always good fodder. And they can’t bash the blacks anymore because the blacks can fight back. So now they want to bash the immigrants who are largely defenseless and, since many of them don’t “hablamos Ingles” they don’t know when they are being bashed anyway. All I hear up and down the AM dial by Boortz, Hannity, Rush, Galleger, Savage is how the “illegal aliens” are “invading” and taking over the USA and how we need to “arrest” and “deport” them and deny them and their kids medical care, schooling and even housing. Well I have news for the right wing- it AINT gonna happen. I am fully in support of the immgrants and a new civil rights movement is rising up and, like the Negro before, the Mexicans are going to rightfully DEMAND their place in the USA and their full rights as humans and citizens. And this anglo intends to march with them! It is easy to bash the Mexicans but you never ever see the right wing going after the people that enticed them here with jobs do you? Of course not because business people are powerful and can defend themselves! You never hear hear a radio ad for “Air Capital Roofing” followed by the right wing neo Nazi talk show host saying “oh by the way they hire lots of illegal Mexicans as hot roofers” do you? You never hear them say that places like Texas, California and Arizona were stolen at gun point from Mexico do you? As I heard a Mexican say “we didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us”. The fact is that if these were Irish or Polish people sneaking in, they would say little if anything about it. You don’t see them screaming to fence off Canada do you? It is racism and not even hardly disguised! The Mexicans who came here are too timid to stand up for their rights but their children who were born here and are citizens are not going to stand by and watch their parents be badgered and treated like the Negro citizens were in the 1950s. They will stand up and I will stand with them!

Are you equating the slavery of blacks to the slavery (low wages) of Mexicans? Just curious, because, in a small sense, there is a similarity.
Anyway, the word you keep leaving out is ILLEGAL. Yes, if they were Irish or Polish or Canadian or whatever, the wave of illegals coming across our borders, whether land or sea, is a problem.
They do prefer to omit the “illegal” part. They seem to think their arguments can get somewhere if they do.
It is only “illegal” because the white males who run this country made it so. God didn’t draw that border- racist white people did and, as I stated before, much of that border was drwan to fence off the Mexican from land that is rightfully his- Texas, Califonia, New Mexico, Arizona just as the white racist did with the Injun by fencing him off into Oklahoma and later even stealing that land. So the word “illegal” means little here. If a law is immoral and unfair ALL righteous people have aq DUTY to disobey that law. The fact is that us white people in general and Americans in particular have always wanted somebody else to do our dirty work for us. We could not use the Negro to do it anymore so we turned to the Mexican and now we use double speak and call the Mexican “illegal” when it is us who pays him to be here! How silly is that? Who is more “illegal”- the person doing the crime or the person paying them to do the crime? The law holds both accountable except in this area. If I hire a hitman to kill somebody, I am as guilty as is he! None of us wants to pick the fruit we eat, none of us wants to go to the nursing home and feed and clean the ass of our older kin, none of us wants to do roofing on hot summer days. We should be thankful for those who do and treat them with respect and dignity and see to the health and education of their children.

I’d heard some of the IRS stuff before and dismissed it all as crackpot nonsense, but this documentary puts it in a very believable (and frightening) context.

That video is pure junk and based on this premise:
(1)That the 16th Amendment was not ratified by the proper number of states.
- This conclusion was brought about when in 1953, Ohio was celebrating its 150th anniversary, the 1803 Congress approved the boundaries and the Ohio State Constitution, but neglected to bring up a resolution on the future lands use as belonging to the state of Ohio.
In 1953, Congressman George Bender submitted paperwork to correct the problem and it was passed by law retroactively and signed by President Eisenhower. The Ohioans even made a special session at the old state capital in Chillicothe the Ohio state legislature approved a new petition for statehood that was delivered to Washington on horseback. Congress subsequently passed a joint resolution, and President Eisenhower, after a few more jokes, signed it on August 7, 1953.
Now your anti-taxers will clain this falls under the expo fact process and the resolution passed in 1953 is invalid.
Problem is, expo facto only applies to criminal matters.
And here’s the straw that breaks the tax resister’s camel’s back.
Even if the resolution was not signed in 1803 and not signed in 1953 (which it was) it wouldn’t make a difference.
Because the resolution by Congress is ceremonial and the admission of a state’s constitution and boundaries (along with other minor things) are all that are required to make a state a legal state.
So, all these poor misled tax resisters are going to jail, because they didn’t do their homework properly.

This is evidence of a “vast right wing conspiracy?” Some poor techinician/asst. director stuck the wrong video footage up for a few seconds (watch ANY local TV news station, and tell me this stuff doesn’t happen all the time!), and it’s an intentional slam? A vast conspiracy?

GMC70 and Fleetwood – if the Fox News Affiliate in Minneapolis/ST Paul really did have a local news mistake by putting the wrong video in of Barack Obama (and how convenient it just showed Obama’s face) into the wrong news story – then why doesn’t the Fox News affiliate own up to the mistake and make it well publicized that they did indeed have the wrong video with the wrong story?
I didn’t see any mention of a mistake on their website or did the Fox News Affiliate notify the rest of the media in the country that there was a mistake in video with story?
That is what makes this whole suspicious – the lack of concern for the truth. But we are talking about Fox News and perhaps that is why this network is losing their audience?
