The lyrics of nine satirical carols are featured on today’s Opinion pages. To hear Crowson and Scholfield perform six of these tunes, click here.

Well done guys… But don’t give up the day jobs just in case! LOL
The first one, “Auld Lang Kline,” is pretty accurate.
They were great!
Trolling JULIE???
Oh now that is just low!
I’ll have to weigh in about the songs later. Browser won’t let me hear them and I’ve not seen the paper yet.
Thanks for that insightful critique of “hatefulness,’ Julie.
Because nothing says “love” like using the word “faggot.”
I noticed The Eagle didn’t mention that the cartoonist they run on the op-ed page, Tinsley, got arrested for the second time for DUI.
You can’t blame him though. His duck character, Mallard Fillmore, went hunting with Cheney . . .
KA BOOM!
George W. Bush DUI
Cheney two DUI’s
Tinsley two DUI’s
Beemer two DUI’s
Man, somebody ought to teach these Republicans about “personal responsibility.”
I hear they will perform live in concert at the RentACenter, and that Randy will have a book signing afterwards.
awesome
YOU’RE A MEAN ONE, MR. BUSH
You’re a mean one, Mr. Bush.You really are a heel.You have lied us into I raq,For petroleum you’d steal.
Mr. Bush . . . You’re a bad bananaMaking (pause) oily black deals.
You’re a monster, Mr. Bush.Your heart’s an empty hole. You killed and maimed and bombed them,Yet you want to bomb some more.
Mr. Bush . . . I wouldn’t touch you, with a (pause)thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole.
You’re a vile one, Mr. Bush.We got coffins for your lies. You told us there were weaponsOf mass destruction size.
Mr. Bush . . . Given the choice between WMD’s and youI’d take the one in which (pause) no one dies.
You’re a foul one, Mr. Bush. You lied, BS’d and fibbedYour war is full of anguishYour speeches are all cribbed.
Mr. Bush . . . The exit strategy you promisedWas apparently just (pause) ad libbed.
You’re a liar, Mr. Bush. You said Saddam’s a threat. That he would soon attack usAnd all of us should sweat.
Mr. Bush . . . Your lies are an appalling dump heap overflowingwith the most disgraceful assortment of deceptions (pause)I’ve ever heard yet.
Capn – even better than the eagle’s songs!
Twas a day on the WE blog
and the wingers were bleating
and lying and spinning
while taking a beating.
farmgrrl and JR and Ben Hule on threads
were battling Nathan and Hank and busting their heads.
CF and Steven and RD and Cap
had just finished shredding
some outlander crap……………
: ) T B C!
Congrats on the new album, guys. _Up on the roof top_ was my favorite.
Merry Christmas.
Capn-Wasn’t me. I don’t use ‘that’ word.
