Rebel,When you run a nursing home you are responsible 24/7. It is my license on the line everyday. I got a call last night and it was easily resolved but I still got it. We are open 24/7 so someone has to be incharge 24/7.

Really, now I find it hard to believe that someone is that important to be on call 24/7. Even God rested on the 7th day.

I really wish sometimes I could get away from my cell but I really am on call 24-7. I even feel guilty when I turn it off to go to church. I wonder sometimes how we all survived before cell phones, 24 hour grocery stores and gas stations, ect. Life was sure alot quieter.

The last place we need phones is on a plane. It is already bad enough that you have to sit next to a moron that is drunk, smells bad or somebody with a dog that decides to use the bathroom halfway though a flight. The difference between a plane and anywhere else is that you have no option of getting up and moving away.

You guys, my mom is very hard of hearing. And she shouts into her cell phone but does not realize it.

I know a lot of other people just shout, and that's wrong, but don't assume they just do it to be annoying.

Once again we have the 'me-me-me' attitude when using cell phones. If everyone would just exercise some common courtesy when using cell phones, what would be the big deal? I'm tired of grocery shopping and seeing these people with cell phones just yaking away about anything and everything. From the conversation, one can tell it is nothing but chit chat going on. That is what happened when cell phones were made available to the masses - morons get them and think they are VIP.

Unfortunately, Joe, 'getting used" to cell phone use means more fatalities and crippling injuries brought about by morons who pay more attention to their conversations than their driving.

Yeah! It's illegal to jam cell phone signals in America.

What if somebody needed to place a phone call to 911 or what about Flight 93, where passengers used their cell phones to contact loves one before they died.

No! I'm not for cell phone jamming or blocking. Let is rein free.

Actually, JR, I believe Israel has made such a device that jams all cell signals for a radius of 50 to 75 feet or something like that. Unfortunately, it is horribly expensive..and illegal to own in this country.

They can, it is called a "Faraday Cage". It will also protect against an EMP. What is a "Faraday Cage"? IT is a construct made out of fine wire mesh or metal that is grounded. Therefore all radio waves are grounded and the receiver inside is just a dumb terminal.

Science at its best!

I wish someone would develop technology to disable cell phones in places like airplanes or movie theatres or grocery stores or really pretty much everywhere.

When they allow prayer rooms on airplanes to politically accomidate people, then you know we are in real trouble.

Cell phones maybe annoying, but it's just a part of life. We might as well get used to it.

I am sooo happy that I no longer fly 40 to 44 weeks a year like I did for several years. The obnoxious bores yelling into cell phones in the airport are bad enough--but you can get away from them there. You are trapped in a plane.

I can just imagine the "I AM SO IMPORTANT I MUST YELL INTO MY CELL PHONE FOR HOURS" people on every flight...

Cell phone use should be a violation of the law when driving vehicles --- same as driving while drunk which is essentially what cell phone use is.
