2006’s politics had it all

Here are Slate’s “five best political moments of 2006”:
1) “Cheney’s Got a Gun.” (When Vice President Dick Cheney shot his hunting buddy.)
2) “Blogger power!” (How bloggers took down Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., though only until November.)
3) “George of the Bungle.” (Sen. George Allen’s “macaca” comment, etc.)
4) “Foley: The Final Insult.” (The career-ending text messages of Rep. Mark Foley — in photo — plus Tom DeLay, Duke Cunningham, etc.)
5) “Rummy Felled.” The piece concludes: “The president and his aides may want to get their memoirs out before Rumsfeld does.” No kidding.

What charges would apply RD? Might you be one of those traitors who want to revoke the Bill of Rights?

I think you will find the RD posts at 8:16 am and 8:20 am were posted by the same brainless twit who posted yesterdays’ that was taken down.

It really is sad to know evolution hasn’t quite reached some of the so-called intelligent posters. Maybe in Kansas evolution is having a difficult time finding organisms worth evolving.

This still shows the difference between us and the religious fanatics in the ME. Someone can lampoon our leaders and we don’t kill, maim, and and burn things down.Unless of course that is unless you are the Dixie Chicks and then a large corporation such as Clear Channel goes out of it’s way to destroy you and ruin your career because you were exercising your right to free speech

Agreed, Brenda. In this country, political opponents don’t kill someone (unless you’re Pat Robertson and advocate that the CIA assassinate certain foreign leaders he doens’t like). Rather, in this country, these people will ruin your entire life. They go after your money, career, family, friends and etc. And they do this all while waving the flag and praising God. This is why the country is so divided today. Too many people have let their religious views intertwine with their political views.

God help this country because we are a house divided and we are a debtor nation. These two facts will bring us down faster than any foreign enemy ever would.

I see we have that same brainless troll that seems to take delight in showing his/her ignorance. It’s only showing your lack of intelligence by these insane troll postings – no one would post something like that about themselves.

You, troll, really are just a pathetic low life.

KUCINICH FOR PRESIDENT -THE MAN that thinks outside the box = real time spent designing platformhttp://kucinich.us/

Kucinich says Kerry should have listened to him in 2004

The Boston Globe – December 28, 2006 – Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich said he became good friends with Senator John Kerry when both ran for president two years ago, but he says that if Kerry would have listened to his ideas about Iraq he could be president today.

Why would you use a hard left magazine like “Slate” for anything but a catbox liner? One things for sure, its drawn out the real kooks on this thread. Kucinich for President? Thats about as likely as Fred Phelps for President. Hey, on second thought, that just might be the Dems. dream ticket in 08. Kucinich and Phelps. After all they are both Democrats and both about as nutty as you can get.

How very evangelical of you Chris.

Phelps may claim to be a democrat, but I promise you we don’t claim him. However he gets his ideas from the same bible you use.

like Christians claim the man either pmom….. owning a Bible does not make one a Christian.. a Christian must display the fruits of the Spirit… hate is not one of them.

I went to the Kansas State Democratic Convention last year when Barak Obama spoke.

Fred Phelps and family were out in front of the venue with signs that had the Nazi swastika over the word “Democrats.”

When he still had some rationality left, he apparently leaned Democratic, but that was a long time ago . . .

Ronald Reagan was a Democrat for many years too.

Do we get to call him a Democratic president?

Chill out P-mom. I was just commenting on Barack Obama (who in my humble opinion is the biggest hype job to come along since the Bay City Rollers) and the fact that so many in your party are ready to annoint this guy as your savior when in reality he has accomplished nothing.

As for what fried my brain, well, you remember the 70’s. Well I don’t
