Victims of attack share their storyCrime: 10 arrested after attack on Halloween; $2,500 reward offered for information about other suspects still at large.By Tracy Manzer, Staff writerArticle Launched:11/03/2006 10:52:39 PM PST
LONG BEACH – Several suspects including at least three men who savagely beat three young women in a horrific hate crime attack Halloween night remained at large Friday.
The three victims – two of whom are 19 and the third 21 – agreed to sit down with a Press-Telegram reporter and discuss the painful attack in the hope that someone who knows the culprits will turn them in to police.
The young women asked to be identified by only their first names of Laura, Michelle and Lauren because they and their families fear for their safety. The assault, they said, was so savage they thank God they are alive.
`A pack of hyenas’
The victims – along with throngs of other people – had gone to the 3800 block of Linden Avenue around 9:30 p.m. for a popular Halloween block party. As they walked up to an elaborate haunted house, they said, a group of about a dozen males began taunting them.
“They asked us, `Are you down with it?,’ we had no idea what that meant so we didn’t say anything and just walked by them up to the haunted house,” said Laura, “They were grabbing their crotches – we didn’t know if it was a gang thing or what.”
After making their way through a maze at the house, the

Still saying nothing, the three victims tried to walk away but were pelted with lemons and small pumpkins that split the seams on their costumes and left lumps and bruises on their bodies. The taunts and jeers grew more aggressive, the victims recalled, as did the size of the crowd. Now females joined in, and everyone began saying “We hate white people, f— whites!”
At this point, the girls began to run, but the pack of assailants ran ahead of them and kept them surrounded.
“It was like animals, like a pack of hyenas,” Michelle said.
She was trying to call 911 on her cell phone when the taunts began, but kept getting busy signals. She tried three times to call, she said, but never got through to an operator.
The suspects also began to gradually separate the girls, first by grabbing Laura by her long hair and yanking her backward.
She said she tried to fight off a group of girls who surrounded her and were clawing and hitting her, but then a man came up and slammed her in the head with a skateboard, knocking her unconscious.
“One of the witnesses told the police that he saw my legs go straight up in the air and I hit the ground face first,” she said, accounting for the bumps and bruises on her forehead and around her nose and eyes.
Her friends watched, horrified as the man raised the skateboard over his head and slammed her again as she lay on the ground. Others in the pack also began to hit and kick her motionless body.
Fearing their friend would be killed, the other two girls rushed to her aid…http://www.presstelegram.com/news/ci_4602384

If you were going to die in a week and had a choice where to leave your children, which would you choose? (assuming older and dead prospects would live forever) You don’t have to give a reason why you choose.

Hey check out the run of threads on Scholfield and his ties to Rent a Center and the Wichita underwriters of the Eagle on the Consumer post with Kline’s picture! Looks like the Eagle has been caught with their thumbs on the scale!
Bush said nothing but claptrap last night in Topeka.
What a disgrace for him to show up and spout nothing but the same old rederick again.
I respect that he’s the president, even though I dislike him intensely. But couldn’t he have said something new?
Al Gore and wife would be my choice. I’ve always like Tipper, she had the guts to go toe to toe with the pornographic aspect of the music industry and I think Gore is really smart and loves to educate and enlighten.
Nice double post Rhonda, dear. Come on everyone at on the Eagle Ed Board, let’s talk about anything but the discomforting idea that Scholfield, Crowson, Brownlee and our heroes in the press may have sold out on this one.
This message brought to you by Rent A Center and the new car dealers of Wichita, who ask, “Why own when you can lease from us for eternity???”
Eagle editors with a bias?
Well …….Yeah!
They clearly favor Tiahrt and other right wing hacks. What they are against Kline? Well they have to at least PRETEND to have SOME integrity.
The American Conservative: GOP MUST GO
Next week Americans will vote for candidates who have spent much of their campaigns addressing state and local issues. But no future historian will linger over the ideas put forth for improving schools or directing funds to highway projects.
The meaning of this election will be interpreted in one of two ways: the American people endorsed the Bush presidency or they did what they could to repudiate it. Such an interpretation will be simplistic, even unfairly so. Nevertheless, the fact that will matter is the raw number of Republicans and Democrats elected to the House and Senate.
It should surprise few readers that we think a vote that is seen—in America and the world at large—as a decisive “No” vote on the Bush presidency is the best outcome. We need not dwell on George W. Bush’s failed effort to jam a poorly disguised amnesty for illegal aliens through Congress or the assaults on the Constitution carried out under the pretext of fighting terrorism or his administration’s endorsement of torture. Faced on Sept. 11, 2001 with a great challenge, President Bush made little effort to understand who had attacked us and why—thus ignoring the prerequisite for crafting an effective response. He seemingly did not want to find out, and he had staffed his national-security team with people who either did not want to know or were committed to a prefabricated answer.
As a consequence, he rushed America into a war against Iraq, a war we are now losing and cannot win, one that has done far more to strengthen Islamist terrorists than anything they could possibly have done for themselves. Bush’s decision to seize Iraq will almost surely leave behind a broken state divided into warring ethnic enclaves, with hundreds of thousands killed and maimed and thousands more thirsting for revenge against the country that crossed the ocean to attack them. The invasion failed at every level: if securing Israel was part of the administration’s calculation—as the record suggests it was for several of his top aides—the result is also clear: the strengthening of Iran’s hand in the Persian Gulf, with a reach up to Israel’s northern border, and the elimination of the most powerful Arab state that might stem Iranian regional hegemony.
The war will continue as long as Bush is in office, for no other reason than the feckless president can’t face the embarrassment of admitting defeat. The chain of events is not complete: Bush, having learned little from his mistakes, may yet seek to embroil America in new wars against Iran and Syria.
Meanwhile, America’s image in the world, its capacity to persuade others that its interests are common interests, is lower than it has been in memory. All over the world people look at Bush and yearn for this country—which once symbolized hope and justice—to be humbled. The professionals in the Bush administration (and there are some) realize the damage his presidency has done to American prestige and diplomacy. But there is not much they can do.
There may be little Americans can do to atone for this presidency, which will stain our country’s reputation for a long time. But the process of recovering our good name must begin somewhere, and the logical place is in the voting booth this Nov. 7. If we are fortunate, we can produce a result that is seen—in Washington, in Peoria, and in world capitals from Prague to Kuala Lumpur—as a repudiation of George W. Bush and the war of aggression he launched against Iraq.
We have no illusions that a Democratic majority would be able to reverse Bush’s policies, even if they had a plan to. We are aware that on a host of issues the Democrats are further from TAC’s positions than the Republicans are. The House members who blocked the Bush amnesty initiative are overwhelmingly Republican. But immigration has not played out in an entirely partisan manner this electoral season: in many races the Democrat has been more conservative than the open-borders, Big Business Republican. A Democratic House and Senate is, in our view, a risk immigration reformers should be willing to take. We can’t conceive of a newly elected Democrat in a swing district who would immediately alienate his constituency by voting for amnesty. We simply don’t believe a Democratic majority would give the Republicans such an easy route to return to power. Indeed, we anticipate that Democratic office holders will follow the polls on immigration just as Republicans have, and all the popular momentum is towards greater border enforcement.
On Nov. 7, the world will be watching as we go to the polls, seeking to ascertain whether the American people have the wisdom to try to correct a disastrous course. Posterity will note too if their collective decision is one that captured the attention of historians—that of a people voting, again and again, to endorse a leader taking a country in a catastrophic direction. The choice is in our hands.

If you don’t do your homework, you get us “stuck in Iraq”.
‘War simulation in 1999 pointed out Iraq invasion problems’http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/11/04/war.games.ap/” A series of secret U.S. war games in 1999 showed that an invasion and post-war administration of Iraq would require 400,000 troops, nearly three times the number there now.
And even then, the games showed, the country still had a chance of dissolving into chaos….Some of the conclusions are similar to what actually occurred after the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003:”

Haggard and the White House: Both Living in Denial
Let’s face it: the Bush administration is sick. The fall of Ted Haggard is just the latest manifestation of the central disease of President Bush and his cohorts: the pathological refusal to accept reality, and the delusion that reality can be changed by rhetoric.
As Andrew Sullivan said last week on CNN, “this is not an election anymore, it’s an intervention.”

New Life Megachurch Holds Weekly Service; Ousted Founder Haggard Confesses to Congregation

Just a quick note: tomorrow is election day. Due to expected high turnout, the election will be held for 2 days. Democrats are asked to vote on Tuesday, and Republicans should vote on Wednesday.
Seriously, voting is our greatest privilige; get out and exercize it. Whether you’re Democrat or Republican, get out and vote.If you don’t vote, you don’t count.
Mary,
Al and Tipper would be my first choice, too. I’d choose Bill and Hillary, but Hillary is just too…driven. They did a good job with Chelsea, and in spite of someone’s comment a few days ago, she’s grown into an attractive woman. There might be a problem though. They already have a Chelsea and I have one, too. Confusing? LOL
Can you get through the list in one breath?
Short video…

I’d love to be able to get the combination of Carter’s and Clinton’s qualities. Bill’s skills with Jimmy’s compassion; Hillary’s drive with Rosalyn’s tenderness.

Well, that’s really an awful question but since you asked; It sure wouldn’t be the Tiahrts since I’d have a one-in-three chance of being DEAD. Poor Luke.
I would choose barney Frank over Mark Foley – Frank preferred adults for his activities; GOP Foley children.

War for oil:
as Bush talks to Rush Limbaugh:
Bush said that he was “worried that rival forms of extremists will battle for power, obviously creating incredible damage if they do so; that they will topple modern governments, that they will be in a position to use oil as a tool to blackmail the West.”
“People say, ‘What do you mean by that?’” The president continued. “I say, ‘If they control oil resources, then they pull oil off the market in order to run the price up, and they will do so unless we abandon Israel, for example, or unless we abandon allies.’”
“You couple that with a country that doesn’t like us with a nuclear weapon, and people will look back at this moment and say, ‘What happened to those people in 2006?’ and those are the stakes in this war we face,” Bush said.
“On the one hand we’ve got a plan to make sure we protect you from immediate attack, and on the other hand we’ve got a long-term strategy to deal with these threats, and part of that strategy is to stay on the offense,” Bush continued. “Part of the strategy is to help young democracies like Lebanon and Iraq be able to survive against the terrorists and the extremists who are trying to crush their hopes, and part of the democracy is for a freedom movement, which will help create the conditions so that the extremists become marginalized and unable to recruit.”
Limbaugh called Bush’s comments “extremely visionary.”
Where do you start with such fear-mongering crap?
Numerous reports have shown that the USA is actually CREATING terrorists, not defeating them. Violent, radical Islam is on the rise around the world. If a group like Al Qaeda ever takes control of a country, it will be thanks to Bush, not despite him.
And as for “pull[ing] oil off the market in order to run the price up” – what does he think OPEC does today? Isn’t that pure market economics, something the USA supposedly champions? Or not when it works against them?
And by the way, does he realise that the oil under the sands of Iraq actually belongs to the Iraqis? He talks as if the USA has some divine right to ownership of it…
Bush talks about “help[ing] young democracies like Lebanon” – but wait a minute. The USA just sat back and did nothing while Israel invaded Lebanon and bombed it to pieces. You wanna talk about “a country that doesn’t like us”, look no further. The Iraqis don’t like the USA either: over 90% want them gone. Just about nobody in the Middle East likes the USA, except a few repressive regimes propped up by US-made weaponry and oil dollars. In fact, most people in the world don’t like the USA any more, George, and guess what? It’s mostly your fault!
As for this bit, can anyone even explain what it means, really:…and part of the democracy is for a freedom movement, which will help create the conditions so that the extremists become marginalized and unable to recruit.”Can anyone point to anything like a “freedom movement” in Iraq? Are there any signs of extremists becoming “marginalized”? Any signs that their recruitment is dropping? No, just the opposite in fact. So what the hell is he talking about?
Bush is talking to his base here, and he is desperate. So he is finally talking about oil, but he is still not telling the whole truth.
Yes, the USA invaded Iraq for the oil. Yes, the US government (wrongly) believes that control of global oil is an essential security goal for the US economy, and therefore the nation.
But the people who were really supposed to benefit from Iraq’s oil were not US taxpayers, but Dick Cheney’s globalized Big Oil friends. And if you think they are not going to manipulate prices and “run the price up”, then you got a lot to learn, Bub.
http://www.netscape.com/viewstory/2006/11/05/bush-finally-admits-it-we-invaded-iraq-for-the-oil/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.starttherevolution.org%2Farchives%2F2006%2F200611%2FBushFinallyAdmitsItWeInvadedIraqForTheOil.htm&frame=true

STANDARD OF LIVING WORLD STATS, the revealing measurement
The U.S. ranks 4th in GDP, yet it is 92nd in distribution of wealth—UN measurement. In other words the top 5% live the best of all nations, and the bottom 25% live worse than in countries such as Greece. This disparity explains why the U.S. with the most expensive medical system is counted as 37th as to quality of care by the World Health Organization. Instead of addressing this disparity, both parties have been handing out tax breaks to the top 5% and corporations. Without election-founding reform, we can expect this trend to continue. WAKE UP AMERICAN PEOPLE—the politicians are serving BIG BUSINESS!
And why exactly would I want a pickled penis?

We need to a democratic-majority House. It isn’t a Dem vs. Rep party issue, it is a matter of saving the Republic from radical extremists.
Since the Contract With America election, House leadership under Machiavellians Newt Gingrich (the guy who informed his wife that he wanted a divorce and connived her into a binding pre-agreement– while she was in a hospital bed following cancer surgery) and Tom DeLay (under indictment for felony money laundering) devised a scheme to exploit and manipulate the little people of the Christian Right, and take control of the House.
They succeeded. Holding a slim majority of votes, the house is run as monocratic institution. Various arbitrary rule changes prevent historical debate, bipartisan collegiality and bipartisan collaboration in House-Senate passed-bills reconciliation conferences. Votes have been set up on 1000-page bills with members having less than 24 hours to read them.
When you look at Republican representatives’ voting records that show 90-94% adherance to the party line, why isn’t it 100%? Because absolute discipline is enforced–Republican congressmen don’t have any choice on how to vote on major bills–but the leadership “rotates” votes to ensure bill-passage while creating an illusion of congressmen’s having independence–enough to enable them to tell their constituents that they don’t always toe the party line, when in fact they do.
The Democratic reps have been rendered irrelevant. But THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT the ca. 48% of democratic-supporting citizens. So almost half of American citizens have been disenfranchised. But it’s actually more than this, because there are many Republicans and Independents who vote on the conservativish side when the only other choice is voting for liberals, but through campaign-funding chicanery, they aren’t given right-leaning independent-thinker candidates to vote for, only hard-line-right voting toadies. (Not that these pols are necessarily hard-line-right themselves, but they’re uberpragmatists who know where their bread is buttered, so they become docile servants of the leadership.) That’s no way to run America.
On the Senate side, ancient rules and practices, including unlimited debate allowance (which can be halted through cloture requiring 60 votes, which the Repubs can’t muster), and the smaller body per se, have prevented the heaviest-handed anti-collegial practices of the House, but even here there is a severe violation of Constitutional principles.
The Senate was devised to protect minority interests. Small-population states, like New Hampshire, Vermont and Rhode Island were given the same 2-man representation as large-population states like Pennsylvania, Virginia and New York. The Senate was designed to be a moderating body against feckless bare-majority impulses.
The Constitution gave members 6-year terms to enable Senators to learn to work well together, from various parts of the country.
This has been corrupted. Today the Senate Republican majority itself represents substantially less than half the American population, and it isn’t acting to protect American-minority (in population) interests, it is actively promoting the interests of a very, very small minority, at the expense of the vast majority of Americans. For example, in states where there might be a majority of anti-abortion citizens, the views of the pro-choice minority, are unrepresented.
However, beyond this, in states where anti-abortion proponents constitute a majority of Republicans, but a minority of all citizens, anti-abortion candidates have been elected, by winning Republican primaries whose majority voters are anti-abortion, then winning general elections by garnering and combining Party-line votes, including votes of people who voted for pro-choice Republicans (not ardently pro-choice, but more like laissez-faire) in the primaries.
Of note, this stratagem didn’t work in Kansas in the 2002 gubernatorial election, as the far-right candidate Tim Schallenberger lost the general election, but it has happened in many other elections.
Classical Republicanism is not far separated from libertarianism, which would say, “If you don’t want to have an abortion, don’t get one. But it isn’t your right to dictate that others adhere to your beliefs.
This is where the Conservative Christian Right is being manipulated to move America towards dictatorship. I worked for a far-right leaning evangelical organization, because I was a “student” who was open-minded and wanted to learn about people and ideas that I didn’t understand. They believe in the Bible as the sole arbiter in answering difficult questions, or to be more accurate, their leaders’ pronounced interpretations are such. That’s no less an extreme ideology than those who believe the Qu’ran’s interpretation by Imams is the sole arbiter in answering difficult questions, or in pre-Enlightenment Europe, that the Catholic Church’s Pope and his court of Cardinals were such, or that the King, self-proclaimed representative of God, was such.
What we are seeing is nothing less than an impulse to return to medievalism. Do we really want this? In societies in which a plutocracy enriches itself on the labor of the vast majority, what happens? The vast majority becomes less productive–why work hard if your work-product is appropriated by your “leaders”? So mass poverty becomes the norm. Knowledge-based progress grinds to a halt, because plutocracy can only be maintained through enforced ignorance of the people. Consider the Dark Ages. What percentage of European peoples knew how to read? They had as much inherent capability as their descendents today, but the opportunity to learn how to read was denied them. The little people became conniving and dishonest to protect themselves from their overseers’ depredations, so they were corrupted.
Is this what Americans want? I believe that balance will be restored. If it cannot occur via a restoration of our historic Constitutional framework, and hopefully this will beging tomorrow, then several blue states will ultimately secede, i.e. separate themselves from the right-radical-controlled states. They’ll win secession, because unlike the foiled Southern secession, today’s blue states possess the majority of people, the majority of industrial infrastructure, and the vast majority of smart, forward-thinking Americans, i.e. attributes that the Southern secessionist states did not possess.
Heartlander–
You are correct. Now if you could just get your wing-nut colleagues like Dr. Farha and Galicha to go along with you, Democrats would have a much easier time of it.
I entered medicine to be a professional who helped people. I was never able to, and am not able to, communicate with businessman doctors (which, if one reads and digests the Hippocratic Oath. is an oxymoron, because mega-profit-seeking in medicine, in my experience, always carries with it a diminution of a quality-of-rendered-care to patients. Maybe there are exceptions, but I’ve never seen one.)
dillhole, are you really so stupid?

Oh, my . . . would you look at that:
Bonnie Huy’s house at 1142 S Governeour is appraised the lowest of all the houses in her neighborhood, lower than 26 other houses.
Plus while their property taxes went up from 2000-2005 by 12 to 17 percent, hers went up ONLY TWO PERCENT.
Another Republican not paying her fair share.
Ever since Foley and Haggard quit loving me I’ve just been so sad that I must lash out.
Didn’t Paul Rosell work in the office that determined the valuations?
To echo earlier comments by XXX, tomorrow is election day. If you haven’t voted in advance or by absentee ballot, be sure to get out and vote. If the lines are long, stay anyway and vote; don’t count on having the time later to do so. However you feel, whatever party or candidates you support, it is important to vote.
Vaugh, seconded.
WHAT IS THIS?!
Payback is on to something here.
Just checked the link.
Bonnie Huy’s house is just as big as the other houses in her neighborhood and it’s way under appraised.
She has paid thousands less in property taxes over the years.
There’s something terribly wrong about this. Some kind of cronyism going on.
And let’s see, Paul “I Got Busted Already for Fraud” is her good buddy.
Hmmm . . .
Check it out yourself at the link.
It’s all there.
Her house is 30 some thousand dollars less than the average for the 20 houses on her street.
Somebody is pulling a fast one . . .
We should get a thread on this–Why doesn’t Huy have to pay the taxes everybody else in her neighborhood does?
Helps to have friends in high offices.
I’d certainly say a thread is called for. I don’t get much luck calling for threads………I asked for a Tiahrt thread everyday for more than a month….. but I’ll lend voice to the call.
By the way, good catch payback. Welcome to posting to you and paulwatcher.
I’ll join my friend XXX and other posters and call for everyone who is registered to vote. I’d like to remind our readers that your employer is legally required to grant you time off in order to vote if your work schedule conflicts with poll hours.

The U.S. ranks 4th in GDP, yet it is 92nd in distribution of wealth—UN measurement. In other words the top 5% live the best of all nations, and the bottom 25% live worse than in countries such as Greece.Posted by: .morg | November 06, 2006 at 02:59 PM
This gets a big so what? from me.The bottom 25% are doing little more than choosing to live at this level in most cases. There are more than enough social programs for people to get themselves educated thru college or trade and better themselves.I worked two jobs to get thru college, received a couple of grants and loans. I’ve made career changes of choice to be able to provide better and acquire more.Nobody owes you anything, you owe yourself.I don’t want this to sound heartless. I’m for a hand up (which I believe I received) not the handout.
Capn, have you ever considered writing greeting cards? In your spare time, of course. ;)
Yeah, blah, blah, KIA, let’s give you a medal.
I did the same damn thing, except I refused to take a loan and go into debt.
I have never been in debt, and God willing, I never will be.
BUT, what you’re forgetting or ignoring is that college costs are about 2/3rd paid for by taxpayers.
That means your bricklayer and plumber friends put you and me through college.
You didn’t do it “on your own.” Your government and your society made those “opportunities” possible.
You don’t have a clue about “the bottom 25 percent.” They’re the hardest working people in our society. They take the early bus.
Your just a ditto head repeating conventional wisdumb so you can feel self-righteous and excuse yourself from doing anything to help.
Real nice.
All I am saying is if I could manage to raise my standard of living from that of which I grew up, anyone can. No one is stuck in a profession or a class in this country.
Your just a ditto head repeating conventional wisdumb so you can feel self-righteous and excuse yourself from doing anything to help.Posted by: CapnAmerica | November 06, 2006 at 07:19 PM
Well lets see, as of my last pay check stub, I am giving 53% of my earned income to help. 43% to taxes and another 10% off the top to non profit organizations of my choice.
I’m not going to let you pick on my or run me off like you manage to do every other conservative on this blog so you can sit back in your left wing bubble and feel like you speak for the majority.
Bitter, party of one. Your table is now ready.
“I’m not going to let you pick on my or run me off like you manage to do every other conservative on this blog”
Oh, pul-lease, Kia, who exactly has the Capn “run off”? Inquiring minds want to know.
Ah the classic “if I can do it, anyone can do it” justification.
No two people have the same circumstances in life. Are you telling me that it doesn’t matter if you’re disabled, poor to start with, smart, rich, who mentors you, who teaches you, how your parents raised you, if you have an addiction, if you have children…
Face it, not everyone has the same mountain to climb, while some have hills, others are stuck in sandpits at the bottom of Mount Everest.
CapnGalahad is just another pointy-headed collectivist, and he is clinging to the failed concept of multiracial leftism.
Viva La Revolucion Blanco!!
Can someone explain to me how everyone can succeed? Wouldn’t that be communism in a way…although I’ve never seen a well run communist country that actually had the people at heart.
In a capitalistic society, we have to have top and bottom, but does it really have to be so much of a gap? That’s all I”m saying. The top earners don’t have to get ultra rich off the backs of their slave laborers.
If I owned a profitable company, I’d absolutely pay my staff well, afterall, they helped it to succeed…and I’d expect hard work from them….if you pay well, you can bet you’d keep quality help.
Mom I know your life has its challenges. But none of you know me or because of my political views probably would care to.But as far as what a troubling background and hardwork can get you, I’m way out of you all’s league and will end it there.
mr kia…
i can only speak for myself but just because our political views might differ doesn’t mean i wouldn’t want to know you.
Thank you Clark. That was a pretty broad generalization that I tend to speak in when I get worked up.I appreciate it and would the same for any of you as well.
Well it’s not so much your political views, but perhaps your ‘out of your league’ holier than thou type statements?
Kia
Clark affords you more kindness than I will.
I’d earlier held out hope that you might be different than the usual crowd of conservatives here. We are unkind to them because they are unkind people. Now I see I was wrong and you warrant the same scorn as they.
What would you say sir to a man who calls your “American dream” no more than an empty lie? Because I am saying it.
You show me the hope for the common man in a nation that is outsourcing jobs to foreign slave labor at all skill levels while it importsvirtual slave laborers to do the work that remains. Might I remind this forum that you have stood in FAVOR of illegal immigration.
I am pleased that you have done well for yourself. But as Capn pointed out, you did not do so in a vacuum. Now that you’ve reached your perch, please to let the ladder hang so others might at least aspire to do the same.
Because otherwise this nation is doomed. It is doomed to a growing animosity between folks like you and me. My side has the numbers. Yours the money. That separation cannot continue to grow or a separation of a different sort is coming.

for mr.kia I give you supply side Jesus
Ian the gay Nazi chimes in. Well, at least you have good company. A lot of those old storm troopers were flamers, until the party didn’t need them anymore and ran them out.
What happened to that myspace site that got so hastily taken down, Ian?
KIA says something about 53 percent plus 43 percent plus 10 percent.
Hey, jeenius, that adds up to 106 percent.
Leave the quanitative evidence to the “reality based” party, okay?
You and Horst fully deserve each other.
heheheheheheh
I see I am not the only one who gets the “bitter, party of one” treatment from Kia.
One trick pony, can you come up with at least a DIFFERENT insult once in a while?
heheheheheh
Methinks it is KIA who is bitter.
Cant wait for tomorrow. Wonder if KIA will be here under the same nic.
Like Leonard Pitts says KIA, one good thrust then pull up….
OMG, bonbon huy put an ad in the paper thaning paulie the shillie?
ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee he
Haaaaaa Haaaaa haaaa
Stop it! Yer killin’ me…..
OMG. Thanking him for his shameless shilling on the blog? Heheheheheheheh]
Thanking him for her personal property tax breaks.ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And where is paulie the shillie?
Washing bonbon’s feet?
heheheheheheheheheheheheh
Jesus wept. Her association with paulie the shillie ought to get her defeated alone… HEHEHEHEHEHEH
If that crazy bitch gets re-elected, there is NO hope for the voters of Wichita.
Go ahead. Send back a woman who thinks marrying off girls at age 14 is ok.
Send back the crazy bitch who takes money from casino operators and then blocks YOU from a vote on casinos.
HEHEHEHEH
And please, send back the crazy bitch who said MORE businesses would locate in Kansas if the bigoted HATE amendment passed.
HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH
If you send back bonbon, you absolutely get the govt you deserve.
Just like toddly.
i’ll only weep if bonbon is sent back to topeka.
I’ll be shouting for joy if she has to keep her ass in wichita.
Of course, she has a great future as a lobbyist for casinos….
OR CHILD MARRIAGE!!!!!
heheheheh
or maybe the Kansas Board of Tax Appeals?
I mean, she certainly has some expertise in reducing her OWN property taxes…..
…or maybe she could join paulie the shillie on FUX news.
So fair and balanced, dontchya know.
I think I will leave mine to Bill and Hillary, then I know they will NOT be raised by a STUPID paternal figure. Hey Ksfarmgrrl, who in the hell is bonbon??? I held my nose and went into a church (don’t we have enough public buildings) and voted, but only to cast a vote AGAINST TANKER TODD. If bonbon is a Rebublicon, yes she would be a bitch and yes she would be crooked as a dogs hind leg.
Quote for “after” election day:
America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between.

Welcome to posting ed.
I think we will no be seeing Paulie anymore. His work here is done. Hopefully his mission will NOT be accomplished.
A post-er put this on DemocraticUnderground today:
“Don’t ask me exactly how it started, I’m not sure (but I wish I could take credit for it)…
“I live in a conservative district with a corrupt conservative incumbent representative (Tom Reynolds). The race is dead even. I was standing in line to vote a few minutes ago and I started to hear a little bit of humming. I thought nothing of it. Then it got louder and more people were joining in, but I couldn’t hear what it was. It was a little irritating.
But then it happened…
Some sings out, “Na, Na…”
And then about 75% of the people joined in, “…Na, Na, Na, Na. Hey, Hey, Hey, Goodbye”
“It went on for about 30 seconds (which is actually pretty long). Some people were almost shouting.
“I have never felt that good in a long time. People are starting to get it.”
I’ve posted on here before but the main computer went south so I have been absent for about 2 weeks – who is Paulie? Fill me in so we can have the conversation.
Like minded bloggers,
Results of this important election will be coming in very shortly.
I wanted to say I am proud of all those on my “side” of things on this blog. We have done good work here. We have tried to share info that the Eagle and the media do not report. And we’ve all helped each other live through this difficult time in the nation’s history. As we look toward tonight with some hope for things to be better, I want each of you know that I am pleased and humbled to be in the company of you good folks. We’ve earned a victory. Let’s hope we get it. Whatever happens, I’m grateful for you all.
Cross your fingers
J R
Ugh. “We’ve done good work here.” …..Like anyone actually makes a difference here with the voting results. Right.
jr–Let the libs begin whining about the stolen election in THREE … TWO … ONE …
Ed–
Welcome back.
Bon bon is Bonnie Huy, part of the rapture-right that can’t even get along with the decent Republicans.
Paulie is one Paul Rosell, charged with child endangerment, fined 2500 by the Kansas Ethics Commission and all around nasty right-wing operative.
We suspected that the Republican machine paid him by the word to post here.
“Values boy” refers to Brent Castillo, the new columnist the Eagle hired, sight unseen apparently. At least, they didn’t see if he could write.
Think “Readers’ Digest” meets Pat Robertson: a mix of sentimental conventional wisdumb with self-righteous self-pity, bound together with a prose as dessicated as Kansas straw.
Well I asked for a PAPER ballot – how dumb – I forgot my “readers” and just had to mark anything that started with “D”. I knew I was safe – Tanker Todd starts with a “T”. But your right – they probably won’t count it anyway since I voted for Kathleen.
Thanks Capn – I’ve got those names posted to my “hate mail” list – LOL
hotlick sounds pretty far right of center – so the lick is probably not too hot
JR–
You’re absolutely right.
The school history books make it seem like all the great struggles are over, that the US is moving confidently into a better future every day.
The reality is that every generation has to fight for freedom and democracy. The battle for truth and justice is never won.
Just because we’re not staring down a cannon barrel at Gettysburg doesn’t mean we don’t have our part to play and our duty to carry out.
To the reich-wing who are giving our president the powers of a tyrant, I say never.
To the rapture-right who are turning our democracy into the Spanish Inquisition, I stand opposed.
To the party of the rich, by the rich and for the rich, I will fight for the American majority.
To the people who delight in the killing of others and plundering their lands, I will not comply, I will not participate.
If I was a liberal, that post might make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Thank God I’m not a liberal.
Ugh is right.Kumbaya, dopes. Is it possible to play the USSR anthem on the guitar, sitting around the campfire?”We’ve done good work here”?Ugh
I thank God you’re not a liberal too, SM.
Hotlips–
I don’t know where you right-wingers got “kumbaya” from.
I’ve sung around many a campfire and I hope to sing around many more. I have performed on many a stage at a coffee house, like the Iron Horse in El Dorado.
Never ONCE have I ever played “kumbaya” nor have I ever heard it sung on such an occasion.
Here’s what we like if you really want to know –

Great chuckle S&M, I knew if a right-wing deist was going to thank someone – it would be a deity. Which one of the various deities are you thanking? I hear Ares (God of War) is doing well since 2001.
I can’t figure out if Dilldoid is a right-wing nut case or just a regular nut case. In one post – Dilldoid bashes anyone slightly left of deist extremism and in the next post Dilldoid is broken hearted over losing a gay lover – guess these posts are not worth losing sleep.
It’s great to know that Tanker Todd will now live in congressional Siberia, where he belongs. At the same time it’s discouraging to know that our area will go further downhill along with him.
well hotlips -
Let the rapture-wing begin whining about the stolen election in THREE … TWO … ONE …
