More postelection analysis including Kansas

As Katha Pollitt of the Nation magazine counts the reasons voters gave Congress to Democrats, in a piece in the current issue headlined “Why they lost,” Kansas comes up: “They lost because women don’t want to be forced to bear their rapists’ babies, even in South Dakota, and they don’t want the attorney general investigating their abortions, even in Kansas.”

Ah the Nation, The liberal’s version of Rush Limbaugh. I DO LOVE IT!

“They lost because women don’t want to be forced to bear their rapists’ babies…”

Better let Operation Rescue hear that, some of their members are convicted pedophiles and rapists.

Thanks for calling our attention to the fact that the quote came from The Nation.

I’m amazed that Rhonda READS The Nation, but I guess ya just never know.

As for The Nation being the left’s Limbaugh, it’s true that they are polemical, BUT unlike Rush and the rest of the Rapture Right, their conclusions are based on fact.

Cap would that be facts like Doug just quoted about pedophiles and rapists being part of Operation Rescue. As far as the Rapture Right I just love your objectivity. Now what fact is that statement based on?

I really do love the Nation. But even I admit that it’s REALLY to the left.

Pedophiles and rapists among Operation Rescue’s members:

Yup, we liberals back up our statements with facts. How about you?

From The Nation:”They lost because Jesus didn’t want them for a sunbeam after all.”

Funny.. if I were to suggest that I knew the thoughts of Jesus, the left wingers would be all over that statement.

It’s nice though that reality media (in liberal terms) gives credit to the existence of my Lord and Savior!!

Yuck. Nice source there Dougy. Where do we go to get decontaminated?

Please warn us next time before linking to sites like that so we can make sure we are current on our vaccinations.

Your childish response doesn’t negate the fact that the information in the articles are true. The information was derived from department of corrections in Kansas and Florida.

Maggotpunks.com is a terrific site for news on fanatical fundy freaks in Wichita. The Wichita Eagle lifts some of their stories from that website.

If you don’t get it, you don’t get it.

BTW, Tom Delay is smiling broadly in his mugshot for campaign finance corruption.

    Why?

He said, “I want people to see Jesus in me.”

Ah, okay then, that clears that up.

I call them (you) the Rapture Right because you are 1. extremely right-wing and 2. you think the “rapture” (which has really no Biblical basis) could happen any day now.

Tim LaHaye didn’t write TEN “Left Behind” books and turn himself into a multi-millionare because he was writing fiction . . .

I find it odd the Tom Delay has had the support of so many christians even thogh he supports forced abortions in sapian sweatshops.

Doug, just because I am sitting in my garage doesn’t make me a car just as joining an organization doesn’t make you part of that organization. What a source!!!

Cap, Cap, Cap, I was a card carrying Democrat until Bill Clinton’s second election. You know nothing about me and shouldn’t presume to think that you do. There are several people that contribute to these blogs that are so blinded by their hatred for Jesus Christ that they can only label others and not even read the arguments. I don’t consider myself radical right or liberal left – but if you are a moderate, I may have to rethink that.

On the Tom Delay issue – the democrats in Texas pulled this same kind of thing on Kay Bailey Hutchinson when they wanted her voted out of office. As soon as the elections were over the indictments just quietly went away. If Tom Delay actually goes to court then we can talk. By the way what is a “sapian sweatshop”?

Dingus I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. Why aren’t you upset about Harry Reed taking Abramhoff money? When Republicans become tainted they resign – when Democrats become tainted they become committee chairmen. Go figure!!

“Doug, just because I am sitting in my garage doesn’t make me a car just as joining an organization doesn’t make you part of that organization. What a source!!!”

The convicted child rapist/kidnapper was given a microphone by the leader of the organization to preach morals to children. Flip Benham took the convicted pervert to a high school to be around other children just like the one he raped.

I would think that taking a person with you around the country to go to children and preach to them would indicate that he is fairly close to the leadership of the organization and is welcomed into the organization.

Perhaps you should have read more stories about the rapist on the website. Perhaps that’s why you didn’t like the website, too many facts for you to deal with.

Doug, just want you to know, my hubby spent forever perusing your site, and he laughed hysterically.

By the way, I’d like a copy of that report.
