It goes without saying that you are many times the academic personage that humble CF is. CF is not worthy, CF is not worthy.

I don’t know if you have political goals locally or nationally but disagreeing with politicians or any body on record, you can say the wrong things. Your academic record can be washed away as meaningless.

As for credentials, I’d say my Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Memphis stacks up just fine against Dr. Rice’s Ph.D. in International Studies from the University of Denver, thanks. She has more publications than I do (I have two published articles and one co-translation, she has one monograph, two co-authored books, and numerous articles), but she’s also fourteen years older.

I probably won’t have her meteoric rise to political and international prominence. After all, I’m just another pasty jewish guy doing academic philosophy, rather than that rarest of professional rareties, a black woman in the halls of male power. But I’m well known in the places I live, and have attained a certain degree of noteworthiness in certain professional and artistic contexts. All without getting blood on my hands, which is much, much more than Condoleeza Rice can say.

However, your larger point is sort of interesting: you seem to be asking who am I, CF, to criticize an august personage such as Condoleeza Rice? Well, Mrage, I’ll tell you: she’s lying and I’m calling her on it. I am an American. I don’t take shit from nobody, however powerful. With respect to the politicos, you say I ‘hammer them too hard.’ Considering that their legitimacy comes from acting in my name, I take their dishonesty, venality, and incompetence personally.

When politicians demonstrably lie and do so shamelessly, other politicians won’t call them on it. It’s up to the agitators in a responsible citizenry to do so.

Frankly, I’d like nothing more than to have a sit-down with Dr. Rice. I regard her public performances under oath as evasive, equivocating, and fundamentally dishonest. It would be my pleasure as a philosopher to confront her in person and beat her at her own game.

There is a psychology why you feel to use profanity, here. Doesn’t matter if Condi is the topic or not

Do use your free speech talents with everyone in public. People you work with. Your family. Strangers when you pick up a conversation happenstance anywhere. Same descriptive words how you really feel. Why be decent anywhere. Your Constitiution is at serious risk of shredding!

I’m not Republican, I am impressed by more talented and knowledgable people in government, though they can make some boneheaded and dangerous mistakes. Condi would curse you out in fluid Russian, that’s her grasp of multiple languages, more talented than your ability to have a conversation. She qualified academically for her appointed jobs. You ever going to reach that authority level, even locally?

Bush and Cheney suck but they are smart too. Rumsfeld sending troops without armor, he’s not dumb at all.
