It is stupid for kids not being buckled to be a primary offense. The police have better things to do then pull people over for this. It's just a big fat revenue stream.

"the car need not start until all seat belts are fastened"

Yeah Rhonda Holman tell folks to use that for an excuse when they are late for work. An unmoving car is of little concern to a kid unless it is going somewhere the kid wants to go. This is not usually the case.-----
The police just need another excuse to fill their quotas!

:)

I agree Tony. In fact, I have found that the kids readily accept getting strapped in and get upset if I forget. If it is done from day 1 that is all they know.

Many years ago I did not routinely wear seat belts - they came into use after I was an adult. It was due to starpping in my son that I developed the habit. He would notice if I told him to buckle but didn't buckle myself.

Beat your dam kids if they wont buckle up... Against their will my ass... Your the parent, you brought them into this world, you can take them right back out...

My favorite thing is to take my kids to a police station and have the cop tell them what happens if they don't buckle up...
