“We’d be inclined to rejoice in this evidence that Kansas may be rejoining the modern world were it not for the state’s disturbing habit of backtracking from teaching evolution whenever the anti-science ideological faction gains the upper hand.” — A New York Times editorial about our State Board of Education election results, wisely recalling the seesaw history of the State BOE.

All I can say is that it is about time. These ID people will keep coming though. The next goal should be to defeat John Bacon and Ken Willard in November’s General Election. After that, the voters of this state need to rid the BOE of Steve Abrams and Kathy Martin. They are up for election in 2008. There is no room on for these fanatical fundamentalists on the Board.
I wonder if they will petition for a Grand Jury!
