If the Governor saved us $1 Billion dollars then why don't we have more money in our pockets? Why will the state be in the red in a couple of years because of the education plan?

Come on Governor at least tell the truth. Even the Eagle broke it down and there was no savings for the people of Kansas.

Our famous friend, Meadowlurk, posted a link to his blog thread concerning the monochromatic nature of the school bus kids in the ad.

But at least both sides of the story are now out, correct?

It is a sign of how desperate the far right Republicans are.

Whenever Republicans cannot find any thing of substance to argue - they always pull out some divisive issue. This time it is racism. Go figure?

Yep...campaign season, where the truth and facts have no bearing on anything.

Or...did the governor sit on the Kansas Supreme Court and order the disbursment of funds?

Isn't it fun to watch the GOPers whine and moan when they know their candidate doesn't have a snowball's chance? I'm lovin' it.

How do you know if the Sebelius ads are working?

But the whining and moaning coming from the Republicans.

By that measure, these ads are a smash!

All I can say is that she is really good. I mean a damn good campaigner. I'm impressed!

Barrnet doesn't stand a chance.

Sebelius is doing all the right things. So she recieved some critisim from some Republicans. Who cares, they aren't going to vote for her. She is courting those moderates and independence.

Sebelius showed no leadership whatsoever on the school finance issue. At best, this commercial is an insult to my intelligence. At worst, it's dishonest.

Can she drive and talk at the same time? Both hands of hers must come off the wheel.

Was a community represented on that bus, probably not. It was a commercial and what politician doesn't put out a misrepresented political commercial. Her acting in that moment was "wooden". Wasn't a natural thing for her to do.

Showing schools being worked on might have been a better location for that kind of commercial. Republicans who voted down school financing could do a better commercial promoting improvement in schools?

How to show an actor protesting school improvements. The actor is pretending to be a legislator member. In a suit protesting on school grounds. Complete political nonsense for years in Topeka, will still continue.

Better school financing happened, who takes the reward? Some legislators remain spiteful and should be replaced in Topeka.

Vote in November isn't too far away to have political commercials now. Who believes a political commerical? Their mostly to make fun of because the audacity and misrepresentations.

THE GOVERNOR PUT THE MINORITIES IN THE BACK OF THE BUS?SHE THINKS THAT A BEFORE PICTURE WITH THE GROUP ALLOWS HER TO TREAT THESE CHILDRENT THIS WAY. THE PARENTS OF THESE CHILDREN SHOULD BE SO PROUD OF OUR GOVERNOR!

Sebelius faces questionsWhere are the kids of color?Democratic Gov. Kathleen Sebelius faced criticism today from an unexpected direction. Some Republicans were pointing fingers at her latest campaign ad -- the one where she's driving a Kansas school bus -- and asking why no minority kids were shown in the spot.Indeed, a viewing of the spot (go here) doesn't appear to reveal any Latino or African American students. And all of the pupils with speaking roles appear to be white. But a Sebelius spokeswoman, Nicole Corcoran, insisted that minority students were part of the shoot."There were children of several different backgrounds on the bus," she said.As proof, Corcoran sent over a pic of the governor with most of the kids who took part that day. Take a look for yourself.Among Republicans raising a ruckus was John Altevogt, former chair of the Wyandotte County GOP Central Committee."While the ad doesn't indicate the destination of Kathleen's bus, one logical possibility is a segregated school since every face on Kathleen's bus is a white face," Altevogt wrote in an e-mail to Ron Freeman, executive director of the Kansas Republican Party.Posted by Steve Kraske02:27 PM in Kathleen Sebelius | Permalink
