Quote of the Day:
“It will never be known what acts of cowardice have been motivated by the fear of looking insufficiently progressive.” Charles Peguy
Viva La Revolucion Blanco!!!
If there’s a catagery for “religious right” shouldn’t there also be for “secular left”?
It seems that Israel used cluster bombs on the Lebanese civilian population, guess better chance of hitting someone in Hezzobleh if you increase the kill and main rate.
Hey Pluto isn’t a planet! Oh my gawd!!! The worlds gonna end the worlds gonna end!!! The sky is falling and we’re all gonna die!!!
Hundreds, if not thousands of experienced aircraft workers laid off, and the public has to pay for an aircraft training school? Same subject, millions of dollars in tax breaks and low interest IRBs given to these companies and they can’t train people to fill the jobs?
Jazz fans should lower their flags to half-mast.I just got word that Maynard Ferguson just passed away. Two of my favorite MF tunes are “Got The Spirit” and “Bluebird Land”.One hell of a great trumpet player and band leader.
Very true steve. I think the strategy in the last 48 hours of massive shelling was to render the region uninhabitible. That is why Bush had to order an emergency shipment of these cluster bombs to our former ally Lebanon – via our ally Israel.
Interesting read on global warming.

Here’s the money paragraph-
“But that’s just another climate change hypothesis that time will test. Be forewarned, though. As we’ve learned from the completely unexpected cooling of the deep ocean that began in 2003, we know a lot less about climate change than we think.”
HAHAHA!
That renowned and respected scientific journal, THE SPECTATOR!
Good one, Heckler.
Deep water ocean cooling is exactly what you would expect from global warming.
It changes circulation patterns.
So cold water may indeed get colder as it doesn’t mix with warmer water.
Step right up, folks. See Ann Coulter get her ass handed to her on a platter. See her stutter and stammer and try to make a case without evidence. See her walkoff the set, teary-eyed.
If you knew Ann Coulter was a cowardly slime-monger, here’s all the proof you need in a nutshell:
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2006/08/24/ann-coulter-gets-her-freak-on/#more-9810
She can dish it out, but she can’t take even a scintilla of it . . . Typical cry-baby conservative.
Pluto is no longer a planet. Does this mean my horoscope is no longer accurate?
YES. AND YOU ARE NO LONGER GAY.
Speaking of mAnn Coulter, from Red State Rabble:
Thursday, August 24, 2006How Jesus Led to Hitler and Hitler Led to Ann CoulterCommenting on the D. James Kennedy pseudo-documentary linking Darwin to Hitler, Ellis Weiner, a former editor of National Lampoon and a columnist for Spy, asks:
I’m stunned. How could I have gone through twelve years of public school, and six years of Hebrew school, and four years of college, and two years of drum lessons, and still not know that the deadly career of the world-famous dictator, Adolph Hitler, is directly attributable to Jesus Christ?
Displaying an uncanny knack for grasping the delicate nuance that is intelligent design reasoning, Weiner explains the link between Christianity, Hitler, and Ann Coulter:Hitler was a Christian and–correct me if I’m wrong–also a Nazi. Christianity led to Nazism. A lot of Nazis were Christians. A lot of Christians were Nazis. Coulter is a Christian just as Hitler was. She wants to invade countries (i.e., she wants others to do it for her; like every other Republican gasbag, she’s outspokenly courageous and highly principled with other people’s lives), kill leaders, and impose an ideology on them, sort of like Hitler did. So she’s probably a Nazi, too.Don’t miss this one. You can read the rest at the Huffington Post.
Gasbag. What a great word.
Dennis go check out Red State Rabble.
Tracy, Thanks. That is my kinda site.
CapnAmerica
If you read the article Genius you will see that the research is being published in Geophysical Research Letter. And you will see that the researcher works for NOAA.
TRACY…
Hitler being a Christian is a highly debatable subject. Him being “Christlike” is not debatable at all…….The book Hitler’s Secret Conversations 1941-1944 published by Farrar, Straus and Young, Inc.first edition, 1953, contains definitive proof of Hitler’s real views. The book was published in Britain under the title, _Hitler’s Table Talk 1941-1944, which title was used for the Oxford University Press paperback edition in the United States.
He also made changes to the Bible according to this news story:

Any thoughts on Andrew Youngs comments about minority store owners and them deserving to be shut down by Walmart
Sam, I believe you are correct. My post was killing two birds with one stone. Those birds being; the intelligent design movement, and Ann Coulter. Both are deserving of ridicule.
Hawkeye:In a hierarchy, every employee tends to rise to his personal level of incompetence.
Dennis, did you notice the fact that there are absolutely ZERO advertisements?
Refreshing to see a blogsite with principals that are NOT FOR SALE!!
Yeah, noticed that. Glad he can do it. The one I’m working on has ads. His is for a principle, mine I hope to turn into a revenue stream.
Different strokes, and all that.
What’s your site dude?I’m always looking for new stuff.
Capn,LOVED the Coulter cut. I may use it Tuesday night…if I remember :)
Come on Heckler!
Wouldn’t you rather get all your global warming info from a documentary put out by Gore?
After all, Gore is a climate expert!
Hank
PS If he had only known the way the wind was blowing in Tennessee in November of 2000!
The fact that the Journal will publish the letter does not make the Letter the view of the Journal. As Capn correctly points out; if I disrupt the formation of NADW the deep ocean will become more thermally stratified.
And hank, I don’t get my info from Gore. I go to the scientific literature. It seems that he does as well since I recognized several of the graphs he used in his movie.
Hank: “After all, Gore is a climate expert!”

Hank, let’s talk about dogs.At least that’s your area of expertise.
I wish I was an expert on dogs! I am, however learning!
Got beat like a step-child in Nebraska last weekend. A real confidence builder 3 weeks before the nationals!
Hank
They will never fail you as your best friend though!I sympathized the other day when I read that a fellow blogger had lost his best friend (dog)of 13 yrs.I remember every dog I’ve ever owned, and still miss them all.Ain’t that special.
I know what your mean. Some of biggest holes in my heart were left by dogs.
Lost one a year ago that I’m not over yet.
Hank
A three-legged dog walks into a saloon in Cowtown. He sidles up to the bar and announces:”I’m looking for the man who shot my paw.”
Q: What do you get if you cross a sheepdog with a rose?
A: A collie-flower!
Top ten reasons why a dog is better than a woman:
10. A dog’s parents will never visit you.
9. A dog loves you when you leave your clothes on the floor.
8. A dog limits its time in the bathroom to a quick drink.
7. A dog never expects you to telephone.
6. A dog will not get mad at you if you forget its birthday.
5. A dog does not care about the previous dogs in your life.
4. A dog does not get mad at you if you pet another dog.
3. A dog never expects flowers on Valentine’s Day.
2. The later you are, the happier a dog is to see you.
1. A dog does NOT shop.
Q What do you call a dog with no legs?
A Doesn’t matter, he won’t come!
Disclaimer:My dog does not agree with #4.
Try naming your next dog STAY.Here-Stay, here, Stay.
The only value of reading Heckler’s Spectator column (by Patrick Michaels) is to see what new tactics the deniers are using.
Another sample of Michaels – he deleted all but the worst-case scenario on Hansen’s graph, then falsely accused Hansen of being wrong.http://scienceblogs.com/deltoid/2006/06/pat_michaels_fraud_pure_and_si.php
A discussion of the ocean issue,http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archives/2006/08/ocean-heat-content-latest-numbers
Sorry, the ocean issue is just too deep for me.(cymbal crash)
Hank – I might need to talk to you about dogs. I just lost mine (died of old age) and plan to get another one. Basically a mutt for the children to torment so it has to be big enough to defend him/herself.
I do Bearded Collie rescue. We do have one mutt, got it from the Humane Society. Buster. Great dog!
Three or four years ago they called me and said they had a beardie; did I want it? I went to see it and it was a big, black, hairy dog. I told the girl it wasn’t a beardie, couldn’t take him.
She started crying and told me he was heart worm positive and if I didn’t take Buster they were going to put him down that afternoon. (Buster was licking my hand as she told me this).
I kneeled down, looked Buster in the eyes and said, “You’re a beardie Buster, let’s go!”
The Humane Society will take your personal information and assign you a color. They have the dogs up for adoption classified as to four different colors. The dogs best suited for you and your family match your color.
I highly recommend getting a mutt at the Humane Society if you want is a good family dog. (they also have a lot of registered dogs).
I would be glad to help you with anything dog related, thanks for asking!
Hank
Yep, they leaves holes in your heart
and your backyard
Bless ‘em all
My last dog was a barn dog – we knew her female lineage but not the male! (fence-climber) She helped raise my son.
Tell me about holes! We had a Beardie bitch named Julie. Over the years her name evolved into Beezer. (Julie…Julie Julie…JuJu…JuJuBee…Beezer) We called her Usama Ben Beezer the Cave Dweller. Holes. She dug a hole five feet deep and nine feet long out by the sea wall.
When a man wanted to buy my old popup camper we had parked beside he house it was flat on the ground. I had to dig a hole under the hitch and to jack it up to hook my truck up to it. When I pulled it out UBB had a hole underneath it big enough to bury a volkswagen! I had to order in a load of dirt to fill it!
Beezer! A big hole in by back yard and a bigger one in my heart.
Hank
Below are Andrew Young’s comments that hawkeye refers to above. I did not know what he was talking about, but here it is:
********************************************************************
When asked about Wal-Mart moving into areas and displacing the “mom-and-pop” stores, Young had this response. “Well, I think they should; they ran the ‘mom-and-pop’ stores out of my neighborhood. But you see those are the people who have been overcharging us—selling us stale bread and bad meat and wilted vegetables. And they sold out and retired to Florida. I think they’ve ripped off our communities enough. First it was Jews, then it was Koreans and now it’s Arabs. Very few Black folks own these stores.”********************************************************************

OHHHH NOOOOOO. Global warming is causing glaciers to grow. Whooda thunkit.
Well I personally think we are saved. Because of global warming we were going to have a horendous hurricane season.
Since that is n’t happening I guess the ol’ planet is cooling off!
Hank
The Humane Society is a great place to get animals. Over the past year, our family has adopted 3 kittens and a half-Lab puppy. We’ve also added a non-HS Basset and Hybrid Husky. Thankfully, these are divided between 3 households.
Lots of good animals out there that need good homes.
Hank,
There’s a possible hurricane brewing in the Caribbean right now. I hope you knocked on wood when you typed that. ;)
Nobody said “more hurricanes.” They said “more severe.” Hurricane season doesn’t end until the first of November. Plenty of time yet…
>>what new tactics the deniers are using.<<
Ooo, those nasty deniers. Heretics, all of ‘em. Deniers of the True Faith. Get out the rack.
Why won’t these nasty deniers tell the truth? What are their motives? Do they not care that the planet will be roasted to a cinder within decades? Are they selling us all out for a lousy buck? Are they *gasp* CAPITALISTS? And while the planet roasts, where is it they’re going to be? Have they consructed spaceships, and they’re all gonna escape to Pluto? Why have they downgraded it? Has anybody checked the Science behind that?
It’s all connected somehow, I’m sure. Maybe the Jews are behind it. And where is my four-dollar Jewgas? I can’t find it at that price anywhere.
Scientist now say Global Cooling is our biggest threat.
http://en.rian.ru/russia/20060825/53143686.html
j guy! Recent news! 1000 aircraft workers needed. Training available. Pay $13 to $15 an hour to start.
I want you deniars of global warming to do something for me.
If we remain on our present course and global warming continues, I want you to be honest in the future about your position now.
My kid needs to know who to blame.
Scary stuff. We need leaders like Al Gore to face the great moral crisis of our time.
In Africa, drought continues for the sixth consecutive year, adding terribly to the toll of famine victims. During 1972 record rains in parts of the U.S., Pakistan and Japan caused some of the worst flooding in centuries. In Canada’s wheat belt, a particularly chilly and rainy spring has delayed planting and may well bring a disappointingly small harvest. Rainy Britain, on the other hand, has suffered from uncharacteristic dry spells the past few springs. A series of unusually cold winters has gripped the American Far West, while New England and northern Europe have recently experienced the mildest winters within anyone’s recollection.
As they review the bizarre and unpredictable weather pattern of the past several years, a growing number of scientists are beginning to suspect that many seemingly contradictory meteorological fluctuations are actually part of a global climatic upheaval. However widely the weather varies from place to place and time to time, when meteorologists take an average of temperatures around the globe they find that the atmosphere has been growing gradually cooler for the past three decades. The trend shows no indication of reversing. Climatological Cassandras are becoming increasingly apprehensive, for the weather aberrations they are studying may be the harbinger of another ice age.
Telltale signs are everywhere —from the unexpected persistence and thickness of pack ice in the waters around Iceland to the southward migration of a warmth-loving creature like the armadillo from the Midwest.Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7° F. Although that figure is at best an estimate, it is supported by other convincing data. When Climatologist George J. Kukla of Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory and his wife Helena analyzed satellite weather data for the Northern Hemisphere, they found that the area of the ice and snow cover had suddenly increased by 12% in 1971 and the increase has persisted ever since. Areas of Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic, for example, were once totally free of any snow in summer; now they are covered year round.
Scientists have found other indications of global cooling. For one thing there has been a noticeable expansion of the great belt of dry, high-altitude polar winds —the so-called circumpolar vortex—that sweep from west to east around the top and bottom of the world. Indeed it is the widening of this cap of cold air that is the immediate cause of Africa’s drought. By blocking moisture-bearing equatorial winds and preventing them from bringing rainfall to the parched sub-Sahara region, as well as other drought-ridden areas stretching all the way from Central America to the Middle East and India, the polar winds have in effect caused the Sahara and other deserts to reach farther to the south. Paradoxically, the same vortex has created quite different weather quirks in the U.S. and other temperate zones. As the winds swirl around the globe, their southerly portions undulate like the bottom of a skirt. Cold air is pulled down across the Western U.S. and warm air is swept up to the Northeast. The collision of air masses of widely differing temperatures and humidity can create violent storms—the Midwest’s recent rash of disastrous tornadoes, for example.
Sunspot Cycle. The changing weather is apparently connected with differences in the amount of energy that the earth’s surface receives from the sun. Changes in the earth’s tilt and distance from the sun could, for instance, significantly increase or decrease the amount of solar radiation falling on either hemisphere—thereby altering the earth’s climate. Some observers have tried to connect the eleven-year sunspot cycle with climate patterns, but have so far been unable to provide a satisfactory explanation of how the cycle might be involved.
Man, too, may be somewhat responsible for the cooling trend. The University of Wisconsin’s Reid A. Bryson and other climatologists suggest that dust and other particles released into the atmosphere as a result of farming and fuel burning may be blocking more and more sunlight from reaching and heating the surface of the earth.
Climatic Balance. Some scientists like Donald Oilman, chief of the National Weather Service’s long-range-prediction group, think that the cooling trend may be only temporary. But all agree that vastly more information is needed about the major influences on the earth’s climate. Indeed, it is to gain such knowledge that 38 ships and 13 aircraft, carrying scientists from almost 70 nations, are now assembling in the Atlantic and elsewhere for a massive 100-day study of the effects of the tropical seas and atmosphere on worldwide weather. The study itself is only part of an international scientific effort known acronymically as GARP (for Global Atmospheric Research Program).
Whatever the cause of the cooling trend, its effects could be extremely serious, if not catastrophic. Scientists figure that only a 1% decrease in the amount of sunlight hitting the earth’s surface could tip the climatic balance, and cool the planet enough to send it sliding down the road to another ice age within only a few hundred years.
The earth’s current climate is something of an anomaly; in the past 700,000 years, there have been at least seven major episodes of glaciers spreading over much of the planet. Temperatures have been as high as they are now only about 5% of the time. But there is a peril more immediate than the prospect of another ice age. Even if temperature and rainfall patterns change only slightly in the near future in one or more of the three major grain-exporting countries—the U.S., Canada and Australia —global food stores would be sharply reduced. University of Toronto Climatologist Kenneth Hare, a former president of the Royal Meteorological Society, believes that the continuing drought and the recent failure of the Russian harvest gave the world a grim premonition of what might happen. Warns Hare: “I don’t believe that the world’s present population is sustainable if there are more than three years like 1972 in a row.”
JR,
I don’t think the issue is one of the warming it’s self.
The issues are how bad is it and what is the cause. Those are what we disagree on.
“Nice” cutnpaste “Jasckstraw”
What is your source littlegreenfootballs? Rush Limbaugh? A fortune cookie?
Did it come to ya in a dream?
I’ve been considering a trip to the animal shelter to shop for a pup. I’ve always had registered dogs, but as I think about it, That’s never made any difference. A mutt would be just as good a friend as a pure-bred, and a mutt would be a good match for me, lol. If any of my fellow bloggers know of any pups available, I’m interested. I’m looking for a small, short-haired male.
X I could have all KINDS of fun with that last! “small short haired mail!
Kidding.
Hank does rescues. I know a lady that does rescues as well. Do a search on rescues as to breed or personal preference. There are many dogs in need of a good home. I have a “rescued” dog myself.
Addressing global warming proactively and with an eye toward it being human caused is win win Nathan.
It’s straight out of the MSM, JR.
I’ve got a co-worker that does ‘rescues’. Racoons and skunks, generally. Her mom does squirrels. (Like there aren’t enough of all three, the wounded ones need ‘rescuing). Takes all kinds, I guess.
Good on your co-worker the rescues “jack”. But you earlier assertion as to global cooling requires a source.
X you might also check you local veterinarian. They often have access to rescue groups. There is also a local rescue group called “Pals Animal rescue” They do good work.
Heh. I’ve given enough clues. My source is impeccable. Unassailable. Try Google. And think outside the box. Vertically. Get some perspective. That’s what lefties/enviros are missing, as a genereal rule. Nytol.
Joe – a short-term LOCALIZED Younger-Dryas type event is fairly likely. That would cause significant cooling in specific areas or NE North America and northern Europe. That would be caused by disruption of the Thermohaline circulation and the resulting virtual shutdown of the Gulf Stream which is a part of that circulation.
The trigger for such an event is the infusion of large quantities of fresh water into the normal cooling zone where NADW is produced. Cold fresh water will not sink as cold salt water does.
The Younger-Dryas was caused bu the melting of the Laurantide ice sheets and the sudden release of water down the St. Lawrence. This one would be caused by the melting of Greenland.
Jack – it is from the study of that past 700,000 years you refer to (actually more) that we have learned the dynamics of climate cycles. Interesting thing is that today’s CO2 levels are as much higher than the previous high as that high was higher than the low. Earth’s climate has “fliped” between two bistable states – ‘cold’ and ‘pleasant.’ We are now heading to a third state not seen in at least a million years.
Take a paleoclimatology class at WSU – you might find it interesting.
“Indeed it is the widening of this cap of cold air that is the immediate cause of Africa’s drought”
No. The cause of subtropical drought is the poleward drift of the boundary between the farrel and hadley cells. The polar low is retreating, not advancing.
“southward migration of a warmth-loving creature like the armadillo from the Midwest” – the opposite is occurring as they move from Texas now well into Kansas.
“During 1972 … increased by 12% in 1971 … Warns Hare: “I don’t believe that the world’s present population is sustainable if there are more than three years like 1972 in a row.”"
A lot has happened and been learned in the 34 years since 1972.
Intensity – not numbers …
“Hurricane IokeHurricane Ioke in the Central Pacific has reached Category 5 status with 160 mph winds today. Ioke is the first hurricane in the Central Pacific since 2002. It’s not a threat to any land areas, but is most impressive on satellite imagery. The 12Z GFDL has Ioke at 880mb in 5 days, the lowest forecast pressure I’ve seen from the GFDL model.”
Low pressure = high intensity.
http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=481&tstamp=200608
Meanwhile, New Orleans better be bracing itself. Who knows what Ernesto might do.
Well “jackstraw” from your descritpion, your “source” sounds like your own personal delusion! You are right. I can’t assail that!
Looky there. Ben is on my side and he is only a scientist!
Lets see if Ernesto can finish what Katrina and the Government started, by wiping NOLA off the map…
Category 5 Super Typhoon Chanchu hit China this May. It was the most intense typhoon recorded in the South China Sea in May, and only the second super typhoon to ever be recorded there (after September 1995 Ryan). Super Typhoon Soamai reached Category 5, then went to Category 4 when it landed in China three weeks ago.
Category 5 Cyclone Monica hit Australia in April.
Did JackStraw get pulled into a 1970’s time-warp, or something?
Please, someone (family, friends, etc) help him understand the research done since then!
This is a useful link,’The Discovery of Global Warming’http://www.aip.org/history/climate/timeline.htm
Jack might find this map of ‘mean temperature anomalies’ informative — and note that the dataset is not available at the time he now seems to live in.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_cooling
He might want to study the graphs at http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/research/trends.html
Jack’s “ice age” in the 1970’s is very wimpy. And what about the warming since 1979? (Update: 2005 was hotter than the spike in 1998, and ‘06 probably hotter)
Peoples, peoples….it’s a NINETEEN SEVENTY-FOUR Time magazine cover story about the coming ice age. No need to get in a tizzy. It’s a relic to have a good laugh about…like the dude who declared in 1895 that everything had already been invented, or that guy that said the personal computer would have no practical application. In thirty years, people will be having a good laugh at Al Gore and his movie. It’ll be the ‘Reefer Madness’ of 2035.
You’re right Jack!
Ever watch all the “Nuclear Scare” Public Announcements. They will make you laugh now, but back then, it was serious.
I do happen to agree with you that Gore’s movie was be laughed at in 30 years. People will get a laugh that a lot of people actually believed the Earth was going to burn up in a ball of fire by the end of 2010.
Yes, Jack and Joe, it is an amuzing relic. But to comclude from that relic that we can ignore what is happening today is idiotic.
Again, I recommend a good paleoclimatollogy class for both of you. You might learn something.
JackStraw: “In thirty years, people will be having a good laugh at Al Gore and his movie. It’ll be the ‘Reefer Madness’ of 2035.”
No. In a few years, Gore’s movie will be widely accepted as being accurate — and updated re tipping points, positive feedbacks, thawing permafrost, melting of Arctic ice, Greenland, etc.
Here’s a preview of the future.Jack and Joe — you’re very sick if you have a “good laugh” at people losing their town, and polar bears drowning, or starving to death.

To be honest Ben! It’s not my interest. I’ll read the headlines and watch the Discovery channel shows, but I’m not going to take a class nor am I going to buy and watch Gore’s movie.
I’ll put my faith in that scientist and entreprenuers will help minimize global warming. I have other interest and area of studies that I want to spend my time on. Climate change isn’t one of them.
Problem is Joe you seem to put too much stock in fancy “skeptic” websites funded by the oil lobby. Did you watch the Discover piece a while back that I advertised here? That was a much more comprehensive piece than Gore’s movie.
I don’t know any scientists who “agree with you that Gore’s movie was be laughed at in 30 years” – in fact I know of several who think he is too CONSERVATIVE. As for “the Earth was going to burn up in a ball of fire by the end of 2010″ neither the movie nor anyone else says that and YOU KNOW IT!
Dontcha just love review and commentary on an educational documetary from folks who have not seen it?
Kinda like folks who opine loudly and and in an uninformed manner about a subject they admitthey have little interest in!
Yes Ben I watched the Discovery Channel special. I also said that I believe Global Warming is happening and Co2 emmissions and other greenhouse gases are one of the many reasons why it is happening.
But I’m not my area of interest. It really isn’t. I’m not intersting in online gaming, rap music, and many other areas. Again! I’ll read the headlines and articles as they come up, but frankly I’m not worried about it nor will I spend much of my time on it. Just doesn’t spark any interest at all. I rather watch concrete dry.
I’m not discounting its reality. Just I’m so bored of the topic. Let’s even pick another controversial topic that shouldn’t be. Abortion! I really could care less. That’s another area I’m not interested in.
I’m interested in Electric cars, alternative energy sources, efficency and material science. But not for the purpose of combating global warming, but because of science and technological progress for our society.
Problem is Joe that Global Warming is already biting us all in the butt. That is why I consider it important, not just interesting.
That may be true, but I have other important matters to contend with.
Perhaps, but you sure seem to be able to get the oil industry ’smoking is good for you’ links.
I guess I just consider the state of the planet that we will leave my grandchildren to be important. Some people don’t I guess.
Well Ben! Although I haven’t posted a link about Oil Company faux research, but you and many other people are dealing with the problem of Global Warming. You guys should figure it out. I seriously doubt you need every single person in the world devoted attention to solely fixate on the problem of Global Warming and how to minimize its effects.
I too am worried about my children and grandchildren. I don’t want them to live in a political and economic nitemare of nationalist socialisim, communisim, dictatorship and facisim.
Global Warming isn’t the only disaster or rising problem to deal with. There are many and not one weighs more than the other in an importance. Just a single person has to set priorities. My grandchildren are one of them.
“You guys should figure it out.”
We have. Many years ago.
As for the oil companies and the environment:

Engineers warned BP about pipelinesAssociated PressSEATTLE – An engineering firm raised a red flag more than four years ago about BP’s monitoring of its Alaska oil pipelines, documents show.
The draft report by Seattle’s Coffman Engineers, published in November 2001, is among documents being reviewed by a federal grand jury in Anchorage that is investigating a March oil spill of more than 200,000 gallons from a pipe on the western side of the Prudhoe Bay oil field.
Ben that’s after the fact. Did you know anything about oil pipelines in Alaska, or that BP was in Alaska or that they were leaking? Or just more cannon fodder for your agenda cannon?
Work on solving Global Warming man!
