Where are the Minorities on the Kathleen Sebelius’ School Bus?A Photo Essay
http://www.kansasmeadowlark.com/2006/08-18/index.htm
Go back to your lonely Salina blog Meadow.
That a Johnson County school bus. ;)
Meadowlark, that really was some lame crap. The Democratic party is far more diverse than the Rebulicans and you know it.I do believe the GOP is the party for tightie wighties, but they do hire a few minority shills, in their usual disingenous way.Kind of like the phony reporter hired for a phony news agency to give phony questions that the nitwit could actually answer. If you want to be a swift boater, you better brush up on your lame spin skills.
Oh, and while we’re spinning, did I forget to mention anything about the phony reporter being a Gay male escort (read prostitute), did I forget to mention that?
BTW, what is the minority % there in Salina? Is that the racial tolerance capitol of the world or something?
And let me just say this:Air assualt!Air assault!
Tracy, they have a few minorities in Salina. They just keep them “north of the tracks”.
Seperate but, well….seperate.
She didn’t picture any minorities on the bus because she’s trying to reach out to REPUBLICANS!
You put a Hispanic kid on the bus and the Repukes choke on their own vomit.
She’s already got the minorties.
Aye aye Capn.Portraying GOP’s big tent.
Left-wingers rally behind Prescott to demand Blair quits over Iraq
By Colin Brown, Deputy Political EditorPublished: 19 August 2006
Demands for Tony Blair to quit over his support for US President George W Bush in the Middle East are to be taken to Labour’s annual conference next month in a direct challenge to his leadership by left-wing Labour campaigners.
An emergency resolution will be sent to all constituency Labour parties calling for Mr Blair to quit because of his “disgraceful” policy in Iraq, and for a leadership election within two months of the conference.
Mr Blair will seek to shrug off the challenge, but it has been tabled [put on the table] by leaders of the Campaign for Labour Party Democracy, who successfully backed four candidates elected to the National Executive of the party, including the veteran anti-war campaigner Walter Wolfgang.
. . . .
The calls for Mr Blair to go will be boosted by the burst of support for John Prescott, the Deputy Prime Minister, since the The Independent disclosed that he said President Bush’s performance on the Middle East road map was “crap”.

Capn,Could we be seeing the emergence of sanity among our allies?3 years ago, there could have been some argument in favor of this war however weak. But “Stay the Course” doesn’t work anymore. Too bad the clarity of the British isn’t reflected in this country.
We can only hope that someday, the perpatrators of this horrendous crime against humanity will be forced to answer for their crimes.

Opinions?
Right, XXX,
I tried to impress this on my English friends and acquaintances when I was over there last time.
They were all like–”how can the American people go along with Bush?” and I kept asking them, “how can YOU support Blair?”
The British system makes it much easier to dump a PM whenever the voters want.
A lot of Americans felt that Blair gave Bush’s call for our Iraqi imperialistic adventure a stamp of respectablity. My own wife thought at the time Bush an idiot, but that if Tony Blair supports it, it must have some merit.
Bush, there’s no excuse for: he’s an idiot who does what he’s told and repeats what he’s supposed to.
But Blair HAS a brain, he should have known better.
The now famous words of our famous idiot:Air assault!Air assault!
They’ve got a new line now..instead of “stay the course”, it’s now “adapting to win”.
Which sounds a lot like “sit and spin”.
Changing the subject back to Wichita issue:
Has anyone noticed how much money is baing paid to “insiders” for their Arena land and how little is being offered to “outsiders”; even though it is those “outsiders” who have been running successful job-creating businesses?
I went to a parade this morning uptown in my little community, there was Congressman Todd Tiahrt and Phil Kline and no this is not a joke like there was a priest and a rabbi. toward the end of the parades there was a float for the “Sons of the Confederacy “ marchers were handing out little Confederate flag stickers.I turned my back to Tiahrt and Kline as they passed and turn down the Confederate flag sticker. Now I will allow others to make what they will of the above, it was an interesting parade in deed though!
writerdog: In which town was the parade?
I love how liberals try and pin the racist tag on republikans. Of course there is no mention that Abraham Licoln was a republican while George Wallace Sen. Robert “Imperial Grand Dragon” Byrd, Lester “What chu doin’ in mah town, boy” Maddox, Sen. Earnest “You all can’t bring dat color boy into dis here school.” Hollings and many others, were all democrats.
I made a NO-NO at work yesterday and started discussing politics. I was indirectly complaining about Bush (by not mentioning his name, just saying the Admin.) and a fellow 50 or older female co-worker asked me if I liked the 8 years before Bush. I replied “Yes, Clinton was a much more intelligent man, and did a great job at running the business of the country” She told me “If you think so than your SICK!!!”
It just goes to show you how much blind faith people have in conservative leadership.
Quote of the Day:
Why not retain and incorporate the blacks into the State, and thus save the expense of supplying by importation of white settlers, the vacancies they will leave? Deep-rooted prejudices entertained by the whites; ten thousand recollections, by the blacks, of the injuries they have sustained; new provocations; the real distinctions which nature has made; and many other circumstances, will divide us into parties, and produce convulsions, which will probably never end but in the extermination of the one or the other race. Thomas Jefferson

“Terrorists are waiting for the Democrats here to take control, let things cool off and then strike again.”
– Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), quoted by the Salt Lake Tribune.

Joe Williams from the “Bring Survelliance under the Law” thread
“The tatics they use is so clear in the media in which they will go on publiclly vicious attacks against the Republicans or Joe Lierberman. Disagree with them is ok, but to go out in Public like Ried, Shumer, Kennedy and so many other Democrats do and just make statements like “Bush is a complete failure” is just unprofessional and not stateman like.”
and
“But carrying it over to the floor of Congress and to the media just to score the days political points and soundbytes just annoy the hell out of me. And Democrats do this so much more than Republicans”
Yep Joe its those Democrats who say those unstatesmen like comments to score the days political points.
It seems that the neo-con rats are in CYA mode. rotflmosrfao
White House tries to amend War Crimes Act to shield its officials retroactively
Seeking to protect its policymakers from possible criminal charges stemming from humiliating and degrading treatment of persons detained in its “war on terror,” the Bush administration has proposed amendments to the War Crimes Act of 1996. If enacted, the amendments would retroactively exempt administration officials from prosecution.
Interrogation techniques such as water-boarding have been used by CIA operatives to obtain information from individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist plots, and administration officials who authorized such measures could face prosecution under existing U.S. law.
Waterboarding, also known as water torture, involves binding a prisoner to an inclined board, with the feet raised and the head slightly below the feet. Cellophane is then wrapped over the detainee’s face and water is poured over him. Unavoidably, the detainee’s gag reflex kicks in and a terrifying fear of drowning leads to almost instant pleas to bring the treatment to a halt. The ordeal can result in both physical and psychological damage whose effects last a lifetime.
Administration officials clearly see a danger for themselves under federal law as currently written. In July, Christine Axsmith, a software contractor for the CIA, criticized the Agency’s use of the waterboarding in a blog post entitled “Waterboarding is Torture and Torture is Wrong,” and was subsequently fired.
According to an AP report, the proposed amendments would outlaw torture and inhuman or cruel treatment, but contain no prohibitions from Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions against “outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment.”

Viva La Raza Blanco!!
Let;s see now, we are wagin a global war agianst the islamic bolseviks because they purportedly killed 3000 people on 9/11, right. Why then are we leaving open our borders, giving in-state tuition, jobs, benefits, affirmative action, and automatic citizenship to the offspring of wetback verimin that are killing over 9000 Americans on and annual basis? OY VAY, welcome to post America, AMERIKA!
Those Who Hire Illegal Aliens Cause Americans 9,125 Deaths AnnuallyUnited States Congressman Steve KingIowa’s United States Congressman Steve King told a crowd in Des Moines in June, “Illegal aliens cause the death of 25 American citizens every day…13 by drunken driving and 12 by stabbings or gun fire.”
That daily figure adds up to 9,125 deaths annually caused primarily by illegal alien Mexicans residing in America. Mike Rosen, radio talk show host in Denver, said it wasn’t significant when you consider our country of 300 million. A listener corrected him, “It’s not significant unless it’s your father or family member who gets killed.”
More sobering, almost eight times as many deaths of civilian Americans have occurred in our own country in three years than deaths to our soldiers in the Iraq and Afghanistan war zones. It’s safer in a war zone than on our own highways and in our own homes in America. At the same time, South Koreans are safer in their own homes with 37,000 American troops guarding their border from North Korea for the past 40 years–with our troops and tax dollars–than we are in our own country.
Why do Americans suffer this kind of carnage in their own nation? Who is to blame? Why would any American knowingly do this to his own country, to his own neighbors?
What can be done to stop it?
First, lay the blame directly on the shoulders of President George Walker Bush. Any man worth his salt after 9/11 would have sent troops to the borders and closed them to illegal entry on 9/12. For crying out loud! Three thousand innocent people died that day—specifically because of non immigration enforcement! Instead, for six years, Bush has done nothing to stem the flood of illegal aliens crossing our borders illegally. On the contrary, he’s encouraged terrorists to cross because they know Bush won’t stop them, drug smugglers because they know they can, and illegal aliens from all over the world. Peter Gadiel, who lost his son on 9/11, rails at Bush and Congress for not following through on their Constitutional duties.

Viva La Revolucion Blanco!!!
Speaking as a recent convert to Christianity…I read that prostelysizing, condescending shitstorm in the Yee-Haw thread and I would like to make it known:
This is what causes people to run screaming away from the church.
This is NOT how you attract people to Christ.
All of that is just a way for you thumpers to feel self-righteous and holier than thou.
If you really want to draw someone into the church, you live a humble, generous, warm-hearted, Christ-like life and make them wonder “Wow, he’s so loving and happy. I’m curious” When they ask about it, you tell them. Not before. Not before they’re interested in hearing it.
You most certainly do not scream scripture at them and expect them to be drawn toward Christianity.
Speaking from experience, of course.
This is an “open” thread to talk about anything, right? Cause i don’t want to be Out of line here.
Welcome to the forum lil.
YOURS is a Christian view I don’t mind hearing about!
I will second that welcome lil. I was once asked how I would feel if, because my contributions to various Catholic Charities helped them perform their mission (that which you described) some of those they helped converted to Catholicism and/or another version of Christianity. My response was (and is) that if the conversion comes from ATTRACTION rahter than COERCIAN then it should be a wonderful thing. However a person can find fulfillment should be welcomed.
I suspect that people like you will draw more people to the faith than people like Phelps or Fox.
http://www.jmooneyham.com/your-true-chances-of-getting-rich-reference.html
What are your TRUE chances of getting rich in America?
Changing my display name!
Lol, i went through many, many religions, even a Wicca phase in my teens, before I chose the lutheran church, or rather it chose me!
Ha! in case anyone was wondering, love spells don’t work :D
Ben Huie, thanks and you are correct about attraction rather than coercion. A good example of nonforceful and very effective spreading of Christianity is with the Russian orthodox in Alaska…i could go on for pages but you could just google it =)
Now that the courts have said Bush broke the law and violated the Constitution he swore to his god to uphold who is going to throw him into the clink? The law says he must go to jail until his appeal but I think he’ll ignore that law too. Apparently violating the Constitution doesn’t get you impeached in this country but getting a blowjob does.
No surprise the Republicans are no longer concerned about morals and values when their chief dimwit wipes his ass with the Constitution.
I thought Beorge W. Bush and his cronies were all for “stay the course”. If they really meant that – then why did they abandon the search and capture of Bin Laden? And Republicans accuse the Democrats of flip-flopping?
Suza
They have not abandon the search and capture of Bin Laden. What makes you think that they haven’t?
Joe?
bin Laden is a 6 foot 5 Saudi hitched to a dialysis machine. YOU could find him.
Suza you don’t find the “bogeyman” if you need him to keep folks scared.
Lets See Joe,
“Uhh Gosh, I.. don’t think I ever said I’m not worried about Osama bin Laden. It’s kind of one of those, uhh, exaggerations.”- George W. Bush, 10/13/2004
“So I don’t know where he is. You know, I just don’t spend that much time on him, Kelly, to be honest with you.”- George W. Bush, 3/13/2002
Heres the Flip Flop!!!!
“The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him.”- George W. Bush, 9/13/2001
Well, for one thing – if Bin Laden had been captured – then I think it would make news – don’t you think – Joe? Also, it was Georgie’s own words that confirmed that he has given up the search and he doesn’t even think about him anymore.
the real question is – how can so many Bush supporters still think this man is tough on terrorism? That boggles my mind.
I bet if Bin Laden was sitting on a bunch of oil – George W. and Dick Cheney would both be there with their big bombs ready to invade.
Welcome to the WEBlog, lil/Alenina, and thank you for your clear-minded comments. I and others tried to post similar, but we weren’t nearly as eloquent as you.
.morg: “What are your TRUE chances of getting rich in America?” And we’re trying to abolish inheritance tax? Voi paska!
“bin Laden is a 6 foot 5 Saudi hitched to a dialysis machine. YOU could find him“.
A conversation one day between two Pakistanis boarder guards:guard one: Did you see that tall woman that just went through the check point?guard two: yes, that was the ugliest woman I have ever seen!Guard one: And so tall! nice machine gun though… I wish I had one.guard two: And that beard! I have not seen a woman with such facial hair since mymother-in-law came to visit! That woman remembers me of that guy we aresuppose to be looking out for! What was his name? Bin Ha-dobin?
Doug point of order: the President is the only one in the administration that can not be charged with a crime while in office. They will either have to wait till he is out or has been impeached and booted from office.
Jwink it is Augusta, Ks. I have to admit I did not actually see Kline, but I did see Tiahrt after the pararade walking down the street and talking to his people.
LoL my wife saw him before I did and took my arm. I guess she wanted to make sure she had hold of me. Kind of like you tighten the leash on the dog when you see a cat running in front of them.
Writerdog, the court said he was guilty as his administration was the one being sued. The law says the guilty must spend their time in jail so why is Bush currently attending a wedding? If the courts said I was guilty of a crime I couldn’t go out on vacation the next day.
If you must call it “cut and run” (as absurd as it is), well then it seems to be working amongst Murthas supporters.

GO JACK!!!
writerdog,
LOLing on your wife taking your arm. My kids have done the same to me for the same reason.
TM,you can’t truly love anyone if you fear the consequences of choosing not to do so. You can’t really love God if the motivating factor of your love is fear of burning in hell. Your obedience is payment for not enduring torment, therefore you are truly a slave of a god who dominates you rather than loves you. Let’s compare your relationship with God to that of a human relationship, let’s say God is your boyfriend. I say he dominates you because if you break up with him he holds that battle axe of eternal damnation over your head therefore you are “compelled” to stay in your relationship with him. It is comparable to the abused battered girlfriend who wants to leave her abusive boyfriend but can’t because he’ll kick her out of his house and while she was a teenager she ran away from home and her parents disowned her, so she has no one else to turn to. YOU are that girlfriend TM, YOU are forced to remain in your relationship with your abusive, dominating god. You are a victim of his sublimated violence towards you. In your mind there is no escape from him. He is the ruler of your life, he decides how you act what you wear, what music you listen to, in short YOU are nothing but a puppet. He tells you that he takes care of you and wipes your tears away, but when he does to you what he did to Job and countless other marionettes of his just to prove that he controls your very existence, stripping away everything you love leaving you bare and naked and a mockery to those around you, you will still crawl back to him as if the evils you have suffered at his hands were somehow YOUR FAULT, begging for forgiveness as if your present Master/Slave condition were somehow YOUR FAULT. Then he tells you that he loves you and that you are free, and you believe him.
whooops. my mistake for the crossover post, damn paste button.
On his radio show this evening, Terry Fox called out for new attendees for his church in Cowboyfunpark Wild West World.
He did NOT mention his former church Immanuel. He DID mention that many are speculating and posting rumors about him.
The “Terry Fox yeehaw” thread is by FAR out most posted in history.
I call upon the Eagle to further investigate Fox’s departure from Immanuel and give to us further threads to discuss that on.
Immanuel Baptist church deserves better than to be torn apart by their former pastor. The TRUE story of what Terry Fox is up to needs to be told.
I’m BACK!Had a great summer, hope you all did too.I assume you ALL have been studing your “Laws of Nature”
Awww GFUN – it was summeryou know….sleep in, no studies, take it easy!:)Glad you’re back and posting!!!!
Hey Guy welcome back!
Lotsa the same around here but lots new too. Many good new posters and a few mixed nuts thrown in too.
