The Daily Kos, one of the Internet’s most influential liberal blogs, is trumpeting Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius’ revitalization of the state Democratic Party and her ability to split the Republicans, drawing away moderate supporters and contributions (she’s sitting on a $2 million war chest for the fall campaign). “Sebelius is a rock star, and my favorite for the veep nod in 2008,” gushes blog founder Markos Zuniga.

Which is why the KS DNC and Sebelius is pouring $$$$$ into local and state Democratic candidate campaigns. Gold stars in Sebelius VP grade card. Ironic, isn’t it? Let this be a lesson to all you Sebelius fans (and I voted for her because the Republican candidate Bob Knight was worse), she is not a Kansan, will never be a Kansan, and could care less about Kansas. Sebelius is for Sebelius. Period. We don’t get the government we want, we get the government we deserve.
Sebelius IS a Kansan, she cares about Kansas. That is more than can be said for the two Senators who claim to represent Kansas or the Representative who claims to represent the 4th District.
What Ben said.
ID,
You’ve never voted for a democratic candidate in your life.
You’re not kidding anyone.
…and Bob Knight didnt run against her. Tim Shallenberger did.
??????
Kossak you are new here, how would you know?Oh, you’re just another name changing troll?Nevermind. Whatever you post anonymously is just graffiti anyway.
I suppose Dr Barnett is a real Kansas guy. He only wants a part-time job as Gov. I guess that explains why is only a part-time candidate.
OK, in order…Ben Huie, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathleen_Sebelius#Early_life_and_family
She was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. She went to college at KU and the rest is history. Politics is her life. If she cared about Kansas, she would not have shown some true leadership by offering an Education budget. Instead she played politics (tell me it’s not so Auntie Emm) and let the Judicial Branch set the budget. Sorry, this is where she lost my vote!!! She put her personal politics ahead of Kansas children.
You’re right, kfg. Sorry. I don’t like Bob Knight either. AND he is a Republican. Which leads me into…
Kossak, the only reason you can’t believe anyone could vote outside their party is because you vote straight party ticket.
I don’t vote straight ticket, ID.In the past I have voted for Jo Ann Potorff last time.
But you have never said a single thing positive about democrats and a single thing negative about republicans.
And KFG, you’re right. Knight wasn’t the wack-o; it was Shallenberger.
I voted for Sebelius, Kossack.
Potorff is a RINO, so no wonder you liked her.
Compare the Republican platform http://www.gop.com/media/2004platform.pdf with the Democratic platform http://www.democrats.org/pdfs/2004platform.pdf. Notice the Bush bashing in Democratic platform and the lack of a real plan.
ID…….and the repubs have a REAL plan? LOL
ID – I wasn’t born in Kansas either – that does not mean that I am currently not a Kansan. The fact that Sebelius was born in OH means nothing today.
ID–
Okay, maybe you did vote for Sebelius . . . I could be wrong.
I wouldn’t link to 2004 material these days though. It’s 2006.
How Old is Sebelius?
She looks pretty lively, and sharp for an older lady.
She will have a tough time winning this year, depending on the candidate that emerges from the primaries. Most noticably, Robin Jennison.
Kossack,ID has a non-issue problem. Forgive him for he knows not anything.
Joe……………..do you really think any of the “seven dwarves” pose much of an obstacle to the re-election of Kathleen Sebelius? I (and the polls and general population) think NOT!
Given Moonbat Markos’ track record of backing winners, I’m not sure I’d want his endorsement.
goddamit gary, how old are YOU? :)
I think governor leadership is only six or seven years older than I, which would make her mid to late fifties.
hardly old by today’s standards.
unless you are nathan…
hehehe. Cant wait until someone calls her a hateful old woman.
KFG- That’s the first thing that came to my mind when I read his post.
The Daily Kos says far more objectionable things than anything out of Ann Coulter’s mouth or pen.By the way, notice the pro-military ads that Kathleen is running?Just count on the anti-Lieberman crowd to use those ads against Sebelius if she ever goes for “national”
I am sure that the hag has gotten mucho out of state cash from the open borders, pro-wetback crowd. The same was true of the traitor john mccain who got 85% of his campaign loot from out of state.
V.L.R.B!!
