Was Bush showing his dad who’s boss?

The elder Bush led a behind-the-scenes campaign to remove Donald Rumsfeld earlier this year, even going so far as recruiting his replacement, Sidney Blumenthal suggested in an article in salon.com. So when President Bush said, “I’m the decider and I decide what’s best. And what’s best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain,” he may have been talking to his father as much as the nation.

The elder Bush knew better than to try to conquer and rule Iraq. Perhaps his experience in the CIA helped there. Too bad Junior doesn’t understand that.

Rumsfeld is the United States version of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

And Bush Jr. doesn’t have a clue.

I would love to know more about the dynamics of that father son relationship.

My guess is that in this and many matters, the elder Bush thinks very little of his son as a man and a president.

The same logic could be applied to Truman and al-Zarqawi.

Yes, there were posts deleted from here.

I think either the NSA or Brent Castillio (? on the last name) were the blog police yesterday.

Criticisams of Bush we take down, death threats & porn links we leave up – what about that doesn’t make sense?

Little Bush doesn’t have a lick of sense, and, of course, he too stubborn to listen to his father.

He’s more interested in being “the boss” then doing the right thing.

At least one post of mine was deleted from here. Though there was nothing paricularly objectionable about it.

I wonder if the missing posts you mention were before or after mine. My guess would be after. Mine is the only one that I know of as missing. So I must have missed the others before they were removed.

I am more inclined to think this a technical difficulty rather than deliberate censorship. As is mentioned, far worse posts have been allowed to stand. These include the most vial of irrelevant personal attacks. Even the blogs only death threat was allowed to stand for several days.

Let’s test this. I will repost mine that was removed as best I remember it. Anyone else who has had a post removed should do the same.

Here is what I posted as best I remember.

I”ll go ya further RD.Meaning no disrpespect to Bush the elder, I’d say it is Barbara that wore the pants in that family. I’d go further and suggest that bush jr was “mamas boy”. Whether bush jr is a “mamas boy” is open to debate. bush jrs in your face attitude I think comes from his mother, who has a similar attitude and is more defending of her son that Bush the elder.

It would be interesting to see DDs take on this.

That’s roughly what I posted. Let’s see if it stands. If it does not, the WE might be reminded that this is not the only blog available for people to post to.

I posted that in this book:http://www.americandynasty.net/excerpts.htm Kevin Phillips comments that the need to “outdo your father” dynamic has existed in the Bush family for several generations. To wit: Senator, Head of CIA/one term president, Two term president – of the last three generations.

I mentioned accounts of the GWBush childhood and college incidents, also.

DD I did not see that one.

That’s 2. Anybody got any idea just how many posts were removed or had technical difficulties?

Upstairs my last: “vial” should be vile.

If they ARE editing our posts I’d appreciate a little proofreading on my typos!

I had a post disappear yesterday afternoon, completely un-offensive, its happened 2-3 times before. Must be technical because each time its happened there was no offensive content.

JR, mine was posted within a minute after your first missing one, and it said pretty much the same thing. Something like…

*This is a rumor, but I’ve heard the Bush family is matriarchal, and Barbara rules the roost.*

Okay, not exactly my words, because I was going to use “wears the pants in the family” just as you had and then changed it to something “less objectionable”, not that I think it was. ESP? LOL

Anybody remember the mano a mano story?

Heckler, that’s sorta good to hear. I’d hate to think it was censorship, and I was really scratching my head over why.

Can’t ya just see it? I’m all in black, standing in the middle of a the dusty main street of town, when I brush my black coat back and there it is. My .45 caliber single-action colt peace maker with my black holster tied to my leg with rawhide.

At the other end of the street stands “bullet-Boy,” looking dirty with his doubled-barreled scatter-gun in the crotch of his folded arms across his chest.

I look up slowly, and as the brim of my black hat shows my squinted eyes, while I light my pencil- thin cigar and say: ” You insulted my mule”……
