Speaking of Sam Brownback, The Kansas City Star noted that he doesn’t even register as a presidential prospect among Las Vegas online oddsmaker SportingbetUSA.com, which has Rudy Giuliani at 10-1, Arizona Sen. John McCain at 6-1, Virginia Sen. George Allen at 7-1, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton at 3-1 and even constitutionally barred Bill Clinton at 300-1. “He’s a billion to one,” said Danny Sheridan, the USA Today oddsmaker, who also doesn’t list Brownback. “I wouldn’t spend any time looking at him.” Brownback’s office blamed his introduction of a bill to ban gambling on college sports.

No line on sam? Is god’s senator slipping?
HOW could this be, with god’s senator being the right “man” at the right time with the right message?
Hmmm, guess it wouldnt have ANYTHING to do with gay marriage having higher approval ratings than the republicans in congress.
But please continue to deliver that right message at the right time. Kathleen cant wait to run against you. After her four.more.years of course.
Is it really the right message, even in the face of less than one percent of people saying their presidential vote will be determined on that issue?
Maybe he needs new consultants, ya know, other than terry, joe and fred, to tweek that “right” message.
And maybe he could check with those consultants on the immigration message as well?
Or perhaps values boy could be his communications director. ROFLMQAO
NO WINGNUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’d rather see Yosemite Sam run for the office. OOPs, I forgot- isn’t he already there?
If Bill Clinton can win, so can Sam. Deal with it.
Since Senator Sam Brownback has proven his dedication and loyalty, I believe he should run for President – of Mexico!
Um Joe?
Clinton was a Republican.
Throwback is …….nuts
Blow. The ultimate political scholar. Too bad he is so alone in his opinion of brownback that vegas wont even run a line on the possiblity of preznit sam.
heheh. god’s own senator.
Reminds me of the Jimmy Buffett song about “god’s own drunk and a god fearin’ man.” When he woke up, things looked so bad, he could only “risk one eye”.
Sam must know how he feels. He probably has John Prine mornings too.
“when I woke up this morning, things were lookin’ bad. Seemed like total silence was the only friend I had. A bowl of oatmeal tried to stare me down. And won.”
When a man has been annointed to lead and warn a nation of its sins, then nothing can stop what God has ordained.
A bill to ban college sports? Like anybody even knew.
Just like many of the Senators in congress, nobody knows who you are outside your own state. Even in Kansas more than 50% if not upwards of 75% of Kansans even know who he is.
No name recongition. Even amoung hard core followers of politics, Brownback is synonym for Fat Chance.
go joe!!!!!
Compare Sam Brownback’s qualifications for President with Dwight Eisenhower’s qualifications before being elected President in 1952 and 1956:

Graduate of Army Command and General staff school in 1926.
In 1930’s, assistant to General MacArthur in Phillipines and Washington DC.In 1942, Commander of U.S. forces in Europe.
In 1943, Supreme Commander of Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe.
1948, President of Columbia Univ.
SAM BROWNBACK:
Graduate of K-State in agricultural economics.
President of student body in one school term.
Attended law school in Topeka while working as a disc jockey.
Secretary of Kansas agriculture.
Currently U.S. Senator from Kansas.
Mr. Brownback, most people would agree, you are no Dwight Eisenhower. So don’t even think about running for president and save everybody the time and expense of dealing with it.
Brownback is as much of a hit with Kansans as Brokeback Mountain was to Fred “Fuckhead” Phelps.
