Sebelius soft on immigration?

Kansas Republicans have sworn to use out-of-control immigration against Gov. Kathleen Sebelius — a stretch, given that it’s primarily a federal issue and the GOP-controlled Legislature passed the in-state tuition bill before she signed it. But maybe they think they can blame her for what she isn’t doing about it. Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, for example, wants an agreement with the feds to allow his state troopers to arrest illegal aliens just for being in the state, something troopers in Florida and Alabama already can do. The other side says: Don’t troopers have enough to do? And when these people are picked up, won’t federal authorities just let them go?

Let’s do nothing, and rationalize doing nothing. Let’s throw up our hands and blame anyone else – the Feds, the Republicans, other states. Let’s not protect our borders and give window-dressing and political cover to our favored politicians for whom doing nothing is a way of life. Let’s turn the United States government over to the Republic of Mexico. Let’s watch our way of life go down the drain while we bicker incessantly in our debating clubs.

Rhonda the Governor proposed and helped pass the in state tuition legislation. Not all Republicans oppose giving benefits to illegals. After all it gave the Universities more students to count which translates into more money for the Universities. Even with more money they are still raising tuition to the point where the average person cannot afford to go to college. But you don’t seem to care much about that.

The Governor proposed giving driver licenses to illegals. But the legislature did not pass that one. Why you ask? Perhaps it was there was not the heavy handed lobbying for it that the Universities were able to do? Perhaps because it did not mean more money to any one group? More than likely those are a couple of the reasons.

Did she propose that when the she was insurance commissioner those driving without insurance (including illegals) be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law? No she did not.

The Governor has attended rallies for the illegal’s encouraging them to continue their efforts to get legislators to give them driver licenses. She has had Democrat legislators attend the rallies and tell the people that the Democrats are behind them and they should work to get people that support the illegal’s registered to vote and get candidates elected that support illegals.

Yes Rhonda the illegal issue is Federal and needs to start there. The Federal government should say that there will be no more education provided for illegals. Listen to USD 259 tell you how much that is costing them to educate children that cannot speak English.

Yes Rhonda the Federal government needs to prosecute those illegal’s that are using false names and social security cards to get welfare and other benefits. They receive benefits on the back of taxpayers. They walk into emergency rooms and receive free health care because hospitals cannot turn them away. Guess who pays for that Rhonda? That’s right the taxpayers. The taxpayer pays in higher taxes to the state and they pay in higher bills at the hospitals for services.

The Governor just vetoed a campaign finance bill Rhonda that would have caught illegal’s that are voting in elections. Why because it would hurt her base.

So Rhonda the Governor can try to run away from the immigration issue but she cannot hide. She has promoted and got in state tuition for illegal’s, she promoted driver licenses for illegal’s (thank goodness she lost that one) and she made sure with her recent veto of the campaign finance bill that they will still be able to vote. She has done nothing to see that they are not able to get welfare benefits.

So yes Rhonda she does have to take responsibility for her actions and in action on the illegal issue.

You are the one quick to do comparisons. I guess you do not like the resemblance you and Hillary have. I was hoping that maybe you would take some of the advice her new handlers have given her and that is to tone it down and not sound so hatful all of the time. But for you that is perhaps a lost cause. Heh, heh, heh, LOL

Sebelius is quite simply a TRAITOR! She is soft on immigration, soft on gun rights and just plain soft in the head. She will be defeated and then she can hop on her broomstick and ride off into the sunset, permanently!

Actually, the comparison is quite flattering. I would love to be as smart, as poised, as tolerant and as true to her convictions as she is.

I would not like to be married to Bill :( but I sure would be proud to have Chelsea as my daughter. And to be a senator from NY.

But alas, I am just an old, hateful, pastafarian, homosexual, meme-bustin’, liberal organic farmer who is an insufferable smart ass. :)

But thanks for the compliment. We are amused and do encourage you to try again.

    KFG,

I fear that you are MISUNDERESTIMATING the grass roots anger over the immigration issue. The immigration issue will be the key issue this year in elections and the hag is not just neutral, she is so pro-wetback as to be in violation of the law on the matter. There are plenty of Kansas rednecks who have had it with her pro-wetback, anti-gun positions and high voter turnout amongst Whites will be her undoing.

    Viva La Raza Blanco!!!

    1) “first we march then we vote.” How do illegals vote? The same way they work in our country, fake ID. The democrats did not want a voter ID with a picture. Why? It has to be illegals. 2) Didn’t Bush propose sending Guard units to the boarder? What was Kathleen’s response? something about we need our troops in case a storm hits or something pretty weak like that. Immigration is already a state issue. USD 259 doesn’t need an additional $10-$20 million for english as second language classes because the 5th genreation german immigrants all bought barney dvds in spanish and now can’t speak english. We are simply being invaded and no one, especially democrats, wants to do anything about it.

hee hee looks like they think they can hang the immigration problem in kansas on the democrats. That would be so funny if it were not sad that REPUBLICANS control the kansas house and senate… in kansas… and in washington.

But please, continue to blame the kansas democratic governor for the republicans’ legislative failures. You are skating close to “clinton did it” territory.

We see how well that worked last time. hehehehehehehhee

Rhonda has joined the bill o’reilly school of journalism. Smear her because shes a democrat. doesnt know the facts. then cries foul if someone dares criticise.

Sebelius has a 60% approval rating. She gets stronger and stronger. She signed Jessicas law. Bill O’Reilly attacked her falsely.

She should run for president in 2008 just to stick two fingers at rhonda and bill o’reilly.

Kansas has a terrible reputation worldwide as the state that challenged darwin. religious fascism!
