Also, we’re haveing a going away party for Rage and Nathan at our club house next Thursday. I know it’s a little short notice and that it’s a little soon after the last get together, but time is short and I didn’t want to interfere with anyone’s holiday next weekend.

Joe, Just keep following MacArthur past K42, there is a slight bend but you stay on the same road. It’s just past the Ace Hardware and Shulte. Follow MacArthur (39th) to 231st and turn south, if you get to Lake Afton, you’ve gone too far. It’s pretty easy to miss the turn on 231st. There is a big red outbuilding on the left right before you come to 231st. Go 1.5 miles south on 231st, you’ll cross a small bridge and then you come to the Lake Waltanna entrance on the right. Just turn in and where the big wooden map is on the right showing all the addresses, turn right and there’s the clubhouse. There’s a little park there with play equipment. It’s really not hard to find.I hope we have a good turnout.
I wont be able to make the sendoff since it takes so much time to check the wifi on my tractor. :) Too bad some of the nation’s elite wont be in iraq with him.

I use to go to the rudepundit links posted by the gentle lady from Western Kansas, just so I could maybe understand her take on things.
Then I realized that the rudepundit had nothing of real substance to offer. Worse that being nothing of substance, the rudepundit has banners advertising various BS. Therefore, by visiting the website and having your sensibilities insulted also resulted in revenue to the ‘rudeidiot’.
The rudepundit merely writes to the extreme left-wing idiots. Keeps them riled up so that he can collect revenues based on the number of hits on his website.

There’s a stoplight at K-42, right after the curvies Hank mentioned. They sure made a mess of that, but it has cut down on accidents there. Used to be a stop signs for MacArthur traffic.
Being a member allows you to post messages to the other members. If you don’t want the added crap to your email you can also opt for a daily summary or you can opt out completely and merely go th the home page ad read the messages that are there.

This is ridiculous!!! Desecration of a non-living object really does no harm to others. In fact It is a form of free speech that should not be taken away. So let me get this straight. People say it should be illegal because of what it stands for. Well when you burn a flag you are really not taking away any freedoms from anyone else. So their type of thinking makes it seem that the constitution would be invalid if the original copy was ever discarded or burned.
I for one will burn a flag in front of the Federal Building in Wichita if this proposal ever becomes an amendment!!

I listen to Air America quite a bit. Most of their hate and ignorant rants would amuse me if they didn’t have so many people fooled. But even though they do have a small following they are not and never will be sucessful. Lies and hate don’t sell to the American people.

I DO listen to Rush, that I might better understand the enemy.
Not all, not even most listeners and fans of Rush are really enemies. Alot of them are simply deluded folk. It is important to be able to talk to them and try and make them see how Rush lies.

I use to watch Rush at lunch, but as was said it was more that I found him to be off the mark on so many things…It was laughable. Now several of the guys I worked with at the time were real ditto heads, they lived for every word. They totally agree with him on it was the unwashed masses that were the problem. I kept telling them he was talking about them, but they just could not see it. There was a bit of racism going on in their views. Then the day came, he listed whom he considered the “Unwashed masses”. They were up in arms when he said whites that make less than one hundred thousand a year!
That was the last day they watched him, it broke their hearts to learn that he was not speaking for them but against them.

“(CBS/AP) Rush Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at Palm Beach International Airport after authorities said they found a bottle of Viagra in his possession without a prescription.
Customs officials found a prescription bottle labeled as Viagra in his luggage that didn’t have Limbaugh’s name on it, but that of two doctors, said Paul Miller, spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
A doctor had prescribed the drug, but it was “labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes,” Roy Black, Limbaugh’s attorney, said in a statement.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection examined the 55-year-old radio commentator’s luggage after his private plane landed at the airport from the Dominican Republic, said Miller.
The matter was referred to the sheriff’s office, whose investigators interviewed Limbaugh. According to Miller, Limbaugh said that the Viagra was for his use, and that he obtained it from his doctors.
Investigators confiscated the drugs, which treats erectile dysfunction, and Limbaugh was released without being charged.
The sheriff’s office plans to file a report with the state attorney’s office. Miller said it could be a second-degree misdemeanor violation.
Limbaugh reached a deal last month with prosecutors who had accused the conservative talk-show host of illegally deceiving multiple doctors to receive overlapping painkiller prescriptions. Under the deal, the charge, commonly referred to as “doctor shopping,” would be dismissed after 18 months if he continues to submit to random drug tests and treatment for his acknowledged addiction to painkillers.
Before his own problems became public, Limbaugh had decried drug use and abuse and mocked President Clinton for saying he had not inhaled when he tried marijuana. He often made the case that drug crimes deserve punishment.
“Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. … And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up,” Limbaugh said on his short-lived television show on Oct. 5, 1995.”

Ya know, over the last week, I have gotten emails from three “kansas democrat activists” that mentioned my posts in the WE blog.
One of them contained the same quote that “k” posted about leadership.
Are any of you getting similar emails from the kdp or people who say they are “activists”? Or am I being targeted? heheh. All have requested correspondence from me, and I have not replied.
Is this blog being watched by the kansas democrats? We already know, via ruby/sts/lmnop that it is being watched by the kansas republican party.
And “k” I know we are generally on the same side of issues, and I do like your posts, but if you are just posting talking points from the kansas democrats… you should just say so.
You lose credibility when you just shill for the party. (Kinda like we dont take ruby seriously.)

I knew a forklift driver who very adamant about being called Spanish, not Mexican. He was indeed light-skinned.
The problem of course is that skin color is only one small factor of what makes up a person. Frank Zappa (for example) was born in Sicily, of Greek and Lebanese descent. Yet he’s a “white” guy.
Oops–his dad was born in Sicily (need to read more carefully).
I met a Spanish bullfighter in Mexico years ago. Blondish hair, blue eyes… Very hunky. *grin*
I know an African-American that is a chiropractor in KC. He’s the only real African-American I know personlly, he’s from South Africa and he is white!
