President Bush, perhaps sensing the electorate’s waning approval of his presidency, this week recommended his brother Jeb, governor of Florida, for the job, saying he would make a “great president.”
Jeb for prez? Is the third time the charm? Dad thinks so, too: George Herbert Walker Bush thinks Jeb would be “awfully good” in the Oval Office.
But American voters should fiercely resist family dynasties in our national leadership. They smack of privilege and power used to one family’s advantage, not the nation’s.
For the same reason, I don’t want to see a Hillary Clinton candidacy or presidency, despite her considerable political gifts.
Besides, is the nation so bereft of leadership prospects that we have to hand off the presidency every few years to either a Bush or a Clinton?

Indeed. And considering that Rupert Murdoch is now shilling for Hilary, and that Hilary is now publicly singing the praises of W, it’s increasingly clear that Bush/Clinton are two sides of the same plutocratic coin.
So far, Bush has made Clinton look absolutely angelic. Now that’s a REAL accomplishment!
Bush has made his family name into a synonym for “idiot.”
In future decades, people will say when you do something stupid, “your name will be bush” instead of “your name will be mudd.”
Having lived in Florida during the summer of 2004 with all the hurricanes, I must say I was impressed with Jeb Bush’s leadership.
However…I would never vote for another Bush for anything.
Nuff said….
Agreed. No more Bushes, no more Clintons.
Of course the language police will faint if they click on this link, but if you are brave enough to hear the truth about the lies…

The link is not for bedwetters. It is only for strong and intelligent people.
How about Wesley Clark, Joe Biden, Chuck Haegal, Tom Osbourne, Barrack Obama?
These guys are the ones we need to talk about.
kfg,Thanks for the awesome link. It made my day:)
I concur with Randy.
Let me expand on that.
I never ever want to hear the name “bush” again unless it is connection with the word “indicted” or the phrase “mauled by a circus bear”.
Hillary is very capable. But to shake the appearance of dynasties, she should wait at least 8 years to run.
Off topic:
I too very much enjoyed kfgs link. Too hell with comity or diplomacy with the ever faithful of the church of the shrub. To me, they are as an unpleasant thing I might find on the sole of my shoe.
That is an AMEN on that one.
I thought that George W. Bush running in 2000 was a farse. Never voted for him nor will I ever vote for families into office.
NO MORE NEPOTISM PLEASE!

Ok J.R. that made me chuckle!!!!
Glad ‘ya liked it writerdog. Laughter is good medicine. And the bush’s are a pharmaceutical corporation of material!
Well, it’s good to see that Randy Scholfield finally got something at least half right, NO MORE CLINTONS.
Well, considering that the democratic-wing of the Democratic party pretty much hates Hillary’s guts, we’re in agreement on that.
Chelsea might be good, hmmm . . .
While I like Hillary, I have to agree. No more family in the whitehouse. Damn sure not another Bush.
Had enough?
LeftHook, you scoundrel, lol!
Holy Hindenburg Batman!
Bush is BELOW 30 percent in the polls!
Check it out–
President Bush’s job-approval rating has fallen to its lowest mark of his presidency, according to a new Harris Interactive poll. Of 1,003 U.S. adults surveyed in a telephone poll, 29% think Mr. Bush is doing an “excellent or pretty good” job as president, down from 35% in April and significantly lower than 43% in January.
And he’s still got 2 1/2 years to go . . . The only thing that could save him are
1. end the Iraq war and set up a stable democracy (hehehehe, not gonna happen).
2. lower the price of gas (hehehe, make the sun stop rising while you’re at it).
3. reduce the national debt, balance the budget (since these are the guys that effed over the budget, the odds of that happening are between no way and no effing way).
He’s toast . . .
Hook–I sincerely hope you are just abundantly proud of yourself. Your inability to post a thoughtful comment reduces you to making false, personal, and slanderous lies.
And people wonder why some of us refuse to come anywhere near a picnic where we can expect more of this juvenile behavior?
Not a chance.
You are pretty pathetic, hook.
Raptor?
If there are lies in Hooks post, can you point them out for us?
As to “false, personal and slanderous lies” posters from YOUR “side” are artists at it. I don’t see you speak out against them.
Raptor? Hook has not weighed in one way or the other as to the picnic.( I do hope he comes) He also did not make it part of the discussion here. YOU did. And since you did…..
Raptor? You HAVE weighed in as to the picnic. You don’t want to come. That’s cool. I’d say that is more a reflection on you than anyone else though. But you have made your opinion known in the appropriate forum. Don’t bring your whining to the rest of the threads, huh?
Thanks.
JR–
You must have missed it when hook wrote:
Ah okay . . . so when Rap calls those 3 dollar a minute phone sex lines, he doesn’t care, because they “can’t listen in.”
Personal and false attack. Has nothing to do with “sides” or opnions or anything else. False personal accusations like this have no place here.
Of course, if I ignore it, then he assumes he is right. If I object, I get the “methinks he doth protest too much” spin. His comments are out of line, juvenile, and objectionable.
I mention it in the context of the picnic because that is exactly the kind of attitude I have no time for, especially in person.
PS. I posted it here since this was the most recent place hook posted, and was thinking he would return here to admire his handiwork.
Sorry if it is in the wrong place, I will lay off. He is not worth the time.
Raptor,
Well as personal attacks go the one you cite is fairly tame by this blogs standards.
I speak as one who attacks and has been attacked.
Thing is? That attack you cite was on a completely different thread! Did you mispost to this one by mistake? If not then you are sorta outta context here.
And if as you say you have no time on the blog or in person for such attacks or attitudes, why did you bring them up here?
Posts crossed there.
Thanks, JR.
Yup, Raptor’s just mad because everytime he posts a Rush-ism, I smack it down with actual fact.
The phone sex calls were a hypothetical example. Obviously, I have no idea if Raptor makes them or not. However, THE GOVERNMENT APPARENTLY DOES, and that’s exactly my point.
As far as the picnic goes, I didn’t go to the last one and I have no intention of going to this one.
So, you’re safe, Rap. Go with my blessings.
I will be at the picnic, though I am not sure if I should bring anything? Be it beans or bullets, body armor or k J jelly?
Nepotism runs deep in the political landscape and in Government in general, and Business in particular!

The name brand is “K Y” but I shop at the everything is a dollar store. K J works under the same principal but has a little more sand content LoL
