I AM humbled when folks I consider wiser than me acknowledge something I post.

I don’t do “great posts” kfg. I get lucky now and again mostly on the weakness of my “enemies”. That last of mine must have been adequate enough to shut down Heckler NOW as it did then.

It must be nice to have somewhere to feel so important about yourself.

And now an oldy but a goody. Heckler gets his clock cleaned and quits the field. That old thread ends with a comment on my post which Heckler did not choose to (couldn’t?) refute.

The subject was Social Security.

Oh but I will leave you an out. The ACLU. American Civil Liberties Union. Clearly your trouble is not with the “American” part. You are a flag waver. Civil? well you are fairly civil, more so than me. You are just misguided. Maybe “Liberties” is your difficulty. You proudly embrace a President that denies them.

Or is it “Union” that troubles you? Maybe that is it.

The ACLU defended RUSH LIMBAUGH Heckler. Who have you ever defended? Or is your province the proud accomplish of how many asses you have kicked vs. kissed?

I would say it is 70/30 or close to 80/20 in favor of them being wrong…

The ACLU supposedly defends our civil liberties and supposedly is the defender of the Bill of Rights.

I find it odd that they will defend everyones rights when it comes to the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th… amendments yet they take the stance that the 2nd amendment gives no idividuals rights.

You are just like KFG, you could take a 5 pound hammer to the side of the head and not realize you’ve been hit. I swear, sometimes its as if your skull is made of hickory.

But I love you anyway.

If you truly believe that the ACLU is nonpartisan and balanced in it’s defense strategy then there is little point in me shaking you from your dillusions.

And I don’t speak for Nathan but it would be my guess that he’s wondering why the ACLU doesnt believe that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms, a position taken by a strong majority of constitutional scholars, some of them admittedly anti-gun.

Regarding the ACLU today, well, http://aclu.org tells you right where they stand, in your face!. . .funny, but I don’t see anything there about the proletariat, means of production etc. . . in fact, its charter is staunchly non-partisan. I guess I must not have read closely enough. . . or maybe I need a new tinfoil hat!

Nathan, what position were you wanting them to take on the 2nd Amendment?

I never saw Heckler stay still that long.

Heckler I have been debating you longer than anyone else except maybe CF. You have NEVER kicked anyones ass. Nothing to do with a sense of humor..it has to do with the absurdity of what some people see as evidence or proof. Just because I might label you an idiot doesn’t make you one, and it certainly doesn’t make any of your children or business partners idiots. I have to produce some tangible evidence (you know, something that can be touched, felt, read, etc.)to support the contention. On the other hand, you’re free to produce it yourself as you are successfully doing right now.

First of all, grow a sense of humor, don’t get so damn touchy.

Second of all was anything I said false, misleading, or unreasonable?

I stated the position of the co-founder of the ACLU and made the charge that the ACLU seems to be following the intent of it’s founder. Neither you or KFG really challenged the merits of the arguement, so I took the occasion to have a little more fun.

You’ve lost a whole lot of credibility with me that you used to have. Your attitude doesn’t become you.

nathan ties gays to poligamists and pedophiles and heckler ties the aclu to dead communists. when the facts are not on your side, the old stretching of the truth is in order.
