Snow wants to be more than a mouthpiece

Tony Snow doesn’t just want to talk for President Bush. He wants to talk to him. The new White House press secretary asked for “guaranteed access to the president’s ear and to an unusually large degree of latitude to reconfigure the (White House) press operation,” according to The National Journal’s Hotline.
Snow is smart and has journalism credentials that extend far beyond Fox News. But will his well-known conservative views make press briefings seem even more like political spin than they do now?

If Tony talks to him for very long,he’ll probably be resigning shortly.

To you libs, everything is spin from the Bush WH. You’d only be happy if David Gergen was Press Secretary. The “right” voice on McNeil Lehrer who then went to work for Clinton. Just another example of the joke that is, the MSM.

Snow is a loyalist, he worked for GHW Bush, also.

Yes Melissa, there is a Santa Claus; and No Milissa, there will be no spinning coming from this Press Secretary.

Hey BlowJoe, check out this from the A.P.:

“As a GOP pundit, Snow called the president ’something of an embarrassment,’ a leader who has ‘lost control of the federal budget,’ the architect of a ‘listless domestic policy.’

“With friends like that, Bush hardly needs the Democrats to carp about him.”

Oh, I’m sorry the A.P. would be MSM, wouldn’t they. It’s probably ALL MADE UP.

Well if you’ve already committed just about every other outrage, why not shoot for the surreal.

This is proof that Fox news is the shill for the GOP. Now they got a an anchor in the White House. Will Fox be opening a newsroom there?

I’ve not yet read about Snows former harsh words as to bush. I’m gonna guess they were probably to the direction that bush wasn’t being a big enough jerk.

As Jay Leno pointed out last night, his new job of promoting the right-wing Bush agenda is, uh, what he was doing at Fox news. Sort of a lateral move for him.

Does Snow honestly believe Bush will listen to anything he says? After all, Snow isn’t among the elitists in the WH.

Does anyone know if Snow is related to Hank Snow? I know Hank’s granddaughter, so I’m curious.

    J R,

Shit, going back to the surreal would be a relief after the job this Administration has done on reality.

    A little art, redux.

Gergen is fairly conservative. That’s the difference between Bush and Clinton. Clinton didn’t just listen to people he agrees with.

But in Bush’s case, it’s more like he listens to the people pulling his puppet strings.

Blow away Joe. Like the fart in the wind that you are.

New here rightuberslut? My guess is no.

But if so, you might better get to know a poster before you attack their “class”

The poster you demean addressed the thread. You didn’t.

I call blogfart on ya right.

There is no confusion to this. Snow has only “attacked” bush for not being a big enough asshole. I’m sure he will be reined in and be a good little propoganda minister.

Or maybe bush is getting ready to go unreined and better ingratiate himself to Snow and that audience.

    XXX, TOO funny.

I heard tony wouldnt take any questions at his first “press conference”? WTF, what a nice way to start.

But to rub salt in the wound…

He did appear later in the day on Brit Hume’s show to answer HIS questions.

Heheh. And cheney gave fox the exclusive on how he shot an old man in the face?

Fux News as the OFFICIAL channel of the Ministry of Propaganda?

Like Keith Olberman said last night, now tony snow is OFFICIALLY on the white house payroll. He and the other “foxes” were unofficially working for the white house before snow’s appointment.
