Abortion ed mandate too controversial, pro-life group decides

While the State Board of Education has been trying to limit what is taught in sex ed classes, the Kansas House voted two weeks ago to require such classes to provide graphic explanations about abortion procedures, including “the probable physical sensations of pain a fetus feels or detects.” But now that mandate is even too controversial for the state’s largest pro-life group. Kansans for Life wants lawmakers to remove the amendment, because it fears it could hurt the prospects for passage of the underlying bill, which would require doctors to report more information about late-term abortions.

This is a case of be careful what you ask for because you just might get it. The pro-life people had no problem with the amendment. They are just upset now because they might lose the bill they really wanted.

This is a case of getting far too greedy in what you want and then ending up with nothing. They really should learn to be less greedy

No one wants to know the reality of abortion, it’s easier to convince ourselves it’s just a “clump of cells” that has no abiltiy to feel pain. Life is so much easier when we keep the blinders on. Worked for the nazis and it works for us.
