How scary to learn this week that in December, congressional investigators smuggled radioactive material in the trunks of rental cars across borders with Canada and Mexico. It was no comfort that the radiation alarms went off, either, because phony documents were sufficient to persuade U.S. Customs and Border Protection inspectors that the cargo should get through anyway.
Glad it was only a test. Next time, though, it could be the makings of a dirty bomb.

Illegal Mexicans might serve as cheap radiation detectors. It’ll be harder to find illegal Canadians trying to sneak over the border.
If Bush and his Israeli “buddies” would stop committing war-crimes against Arabs, we wouldn’t need to worry about shit like this.
The United States furnished the money to build the so-called “settlements” on the Arab West Bank in violation of international law and if we don’t throw the Israeli bastards off that Arab land we can expect to get it in the neck.
How not thick does Bush’s skull have to be before he can understand he’s making the United States a very unsafe place?
In the future every candidate must sign-in a statement: “I am not a thick-headed idiot, nor will I let AIPAC enter my office.”
The solution to the problems in the Middle East is to make peace with the Arabs.
So what do the Arabs want?
The Arabs want the United States to start obeying international law and stop financing Zionists Israel’s unlawful activities.
Is that too much to ask?
For the Israeli Zionists bastards who terrorize, murder, humiliate, steal land and bulldoze Palestinians homes, farms and Palestinians every single day, then have the nerve to call them “terrorists”…Yes.
Israel is the only terrorist country in the Middle East.
But wants all you dummies to think otherwise.
Israel makes a big deal if another country says that Israel has no right to exist.
So why doesn’t Israel do something to earn the right to exist, then maybe other countries wouldn’t keep saying that they don’t have a right or shouldn’t be allowed.
Do it the old-fashioned way; earn the right to exist by gaining respect.
Nobody questions any other country’s right to exist, just Israel.
So, why is that?
You think that scary, you should see the test they do to get past screeners at airports. Guns, bombs, radiation, chemicals, and everything.
I believe the average failure to detect rate was around 88%.
Why bother smuggling material into the country? Have you ever checked out the “security” (sic) at a chemical plant? Just walk in and steal what you want.
Or, how about just a little dynamite bomb (about enough to blow out a stump on the south 40) strapped to a rail cat full of chemicals as it transits town?
Those issues will not be addressed Ben. Efforts are directed elsewhere……like dispatching NSA agents to check you out because of your last post!
By land and sea and fiscal means we are being invaded. “Bombs” dirty or in a figurative sense could be everywhere. We are dropping ours 7,000 miles away.
Joe W., Do you have a link to the 88% failure figure? If true, this is pretty astounding.
JR,
It is more efficent to try and catch the terrorist while they communicate than try to put enough passive detectors to catch them all.
The only way out of Bush’s mess is to make peace with the Arabs

Nathan,The data you’re basing the above on, is what?
Would making peace with the Arabs be all that painful to all you Zionists?
Ariel Sharon never minded a bus being blown-up, that just gave him an excuse to go on another Palestinian murdering campaign.
Sharon started the second intifada {spl} by defiling the al Aqua {spl} Mosque in Jerusalem.
The Palestinians in turn blew-up a bus { good working class Jews } and that set Sharon’s killing spree in motion.
Bush has probably already picked the American cities to be destroyed to justify an all-out attack on Iran. Bush is running “test” runs so the blame can be easily assigned to Iran.
{ for back-up the Mossad will post some phony website taking the credit }
The blame won’t be assigned to Greenland, that’s for sure.
Peace with the Arabs would ruin everything for the Israelis. No more free lunch { free everything } from the United States, they’d all have to work for a living.
AIPAC wouldn’t have any money to bribe congress, things would be just awful.
Well, At least we’d have a place to put all the neoconservatives…Gitmo. { make them wait about 5 years before they can speak to a lawyer }
Ed,
You are correct, the zionists and their errand boys do not want peace!
by Gareth Porter
The George W. Bush administration failed to enter into negotiations with Iran on its nuclear program in May 2003 because neoconservative zealots who advocated destabilization and regime change were able to block any serious diplomatic engagement with Tehran, according to former administration officials.
The same neoconservative veto power also prevented the administration from adopting any official policy statement on Iran, those same officials say.
Lawrence Wilkerson, then chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, says the failure to adopt a formal Iran policy in 2002-2003 was the result of obstruction by a “secret cabal” of neoconservatives in the administration, led by Vice President Dick Cheney.
“The secret cabal got what it wanted: no negotiations with Tehran,” Wilkerson wrote in an e-mail to IPS.
The Iranian negotiating offer, transmitted to the State Department in early May 2003 by the Swiss ambassador in Tehran, acknowledged that Iran would have to address U.S. concerns about its nuclear program, although it made no specific concession in advance of the talks, according to Flynt Leverett, then the National Security Council’s senior director for Middle East Affairs.
It also raised the possibility of cutting off Iran’s support for Hamas and Islamic Jihad and converting Hezbollah into a purely sociopolitical organization, according to Leverett. That was an explicit response to Powell’s demand in late March that Iran “end its support for terrorism.”
In return, Leverett recalls, the Iranians wanted the United States to address security questions, the lifting of economic sanctions, and normalization of relations, including support for Iran’s integration into the global economic order.

Ian, Though your information may be correct, you need more creditable websites. If the website appears to be racist, the reader will discount everything. Throwing out the baby with the bathwater, so to speak.
It’s a little harder but you can find the same information from sources the general public will trust, and that helps sell your position.
The Zionists are really bad news, and need to be shut-down. The Likuds took a beating in the Israeli election, and that’s a good sign. I find good stuff right there in Ha’aretz and that makes the Zionists shut-up.
Haaretz.com…..Good hunting.
Ah! Haaretz! The anti-establishment Leftist Israeli newspaper that Eddy proclaims as his “bible” to prove his points concerning his anti-Israeli “gospel.”
I had a genius Israeli roommate in college, and a wonderful Israeli TA in anthropology.
So, I’ve been thinking, why don’t we just bring all Israelis to America, and let the Palestinians take over Israel? (Very few Israelis would come to Kansas, which would be Kansas’s lost opportunity, but California, New York and several other states, and the U.S., would benefit.)
Secondly, let’s get serious about achieving independence from oil. Oil is just a source of energy and chemicals for inventing and producing plastics, drugs and other things. We have many other potential options. Kansas could be producing enormous amounts of electrical energy. Its biomass could be used to make all kinds of amazing chemical products.
America’s coal resources are equivalent to Saudi Arabia’s oil supply. We could build more nuclear plants, and eventually harness fusion. Recent research indicates the presence of vast amounts of energy in near-offshore methane hydrates. We could potentially develop mutually-beneficial trade relationships with OPEC nations, without being utterly dependent on their petroleum resources. At some point, we’re going to have to forgo oil dependency as the resource become depleted, so why not start now?
In whose interest is it to create avoidable geopolitical crises? I don’t think it is in my family’s interest. How about yours?
Who’s interest?
Think Carlyle, Haliburton, etc.
Think bushco.
I say it makes the Zionists shut-up and there’s one with his G-d dumb-ass mouth wide-open.
No specifics, just a piece of shit coming straight at me.Gee. you forgot your bullet, punk.
Maybe, as in Mayberry, they’ll let you carry your bullet in your shirt pocket { Don Piff {spl}
yeeehaaa
We might get it from both-sides.

The Arab world had a chance to co-exist with Israel, and didn’t take it. Now, even though Israel is starting to withdraw from certain territories, the Arabs still aren’t happy. I’m not surprised that the Jewish state is fighting for its existence. This is the land the Jews historically occupied. While I’m all for making peace with the Middle East, abandoning Israel would be wrong. And terrorism, unfortunately, would probably have other excuses to hit us even if Israel had never existed. Wars have been fought for thousands of years.
God bless everyone.
