Government looking bad in Moussaoui trial

I’m not sure which has been worse about the trial of Sept. 11 terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui: How the government has botched the death-penalty sentencing trial, or how the FBI failed to act on repeated warnings about the terrorist plot. Several of the government’s key witnesses were barred last week from testifying in the trial because of improper coaching by a government attorney, a violation that nearly ended the trial. Then this week, an FBI agent based in Minneapolis told on cross-examination how he had made repeated requests for a complete investigation of Moussaoui, whom he described in a report submitted three weeks before Sept. 11 as a radical Islamic fundamentalist who hated the United States and was learning to fly jetliners, The New York Times reported. He said his FBI superiors in Washington, D.C., were guilty of “criminal negligence” for not acting on these warnings.

I think the FBI bureaucrats that messed it up should be subject to disipline. Yes the prosecutor was wrong in going against the judge’s order but nobody died because of the prosecutor’s actions however…because of the tangled mess that stands for the FBI office hundreds of people were murdered (it was an intentional act therefore murdered not killed is appropriate). Heads should roll for the inaction!

Julie, dont ya know if they had just been wiretapping without warrents back then, none of this would have happened!!!

Or would they have just had MORE information they couldnt act upon?

It doesnt sound like they lacked info, they lacked the will or the ability to do something about it.

If the Zionists had not been murdering Palestinians for the last 50 years and stealing their land 9/11 would not have happened. The real murders are the Zionists. And now the Zionists are in violation of international law by trying to keep the Palestinian West Bank…..truth be told.

I have to disagree with you there, Ed.

Arab nationalists like Al Qaeda hate Israel, no doubt about it, and for a lot of good reasons, but Arabs aren’t making sacrifices to help Palestine.

If Al Qaeda wanted to revenge Palestinian occupation, why didn’t they go after Israel?

No, they hit us because they wanted our military out of Saudi Arabia. That was the precipitating factor that turned our former allies against the Soviets into our implacable enemies.

Any idiot could have seen this coming up fifth avenue. Unfortunately, H.W. Bush, the biggest idiot we’ve had as president until his even bigger idiot son, was president and Dead-eye Dick Cheney was his Secr’y of War.

al-Qaida went after the US because Israel was built by the United States. They hit three military targets: the greatest concentration of Jews in the WTC, The Pentagon, and the White House.

    Read the 9/11 report.

AIPAC now has the food cut-off to Gaza { 1.3 million } and the Saudis are making deliveries as fast as they can { getting passed Zionists roadblocks }.

The Saudis increased oil production just for us, so I don’t know what you’re talking about.

OBL does not represent Saudi Arabia.

Lots of Zionist propaganda about how bad the Saudis are, but nothing to back it up.

With friends like the Zionists who needs enemies?

Have they actually been taking action on any overheard wiretapping conversations? Or are they just listening in to pizza deliver orders and conversations with Mom?(Get a life and a warrant guys)

I think it was lack of knowledge between the difference of their bellybutton and a hole in the ground that caused this mess.

And that Zionist propaganda lingo has killed over 2300 US soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi men, women, and children.

AIPAC is linking their chops to get into that 2.8 trillion dollar budget congress just passed and every signature on that bill needs to be called home and asked to resign.

EDIf I’m not mistaken Israel was not built by the U.S. The U.S. went along with it and is their biggest supporter but it was originally set up by Great Briton. After WWII they took the land away from Palestine and set up the State of Israel. Because Palestine was an allie to Germany and it was an unconditional surrender.Which was a very big mistake.

Israel has over 100 “military” bulldozers which plowed down 418 Palestinians villages. Ariel Sharon headed-up Unit 101 in charge of slaughtering the residents. Those who escaped being murdered now languish in the squalor of refugee camps.

    9/11 was a military strike.

There is no such thing as a “terrorist.”

Our only viable option is to make peace with the Arabs. The Zionists in Israel do not want peace, they want us to attack Iran.

    Bad idea.

  15. Posted March 22, 2006 at 7:31 pm | Permalink

Funny Ed, you spend so much time defending terrorists and murderers you forget to list any of the acts of ‘war’ committed by your beloved killers. Or am I just imagining all of the attacks on Israel.

And as for the ‘military strikes of 9-11 what military value was there in killing nearly 3000 civilians; business people, secretaries, and rescue personnel. It was an act by a bunch of cowards against defenseless people, not heroes. If their beef is with Israel then they should have the balls to attack them. They attacked us and I personally see no problem using the full might of the US military to help them to meet Allah so he can explain to them the error of their ways.

While I don’t condone it, flying an airplane into the side of a building isn’t the action of a coward. Could you do that?Strategically, it was a brilliant manuver. They hit us in our greatest city using our own planes.Yes, a lot of defenseless people died. And a lot of defenseless people are still dying.

    Dastardly, yes. Cowardly….hardly.

Ed is right on a number of points, when the British left the Israelis took over in a bit of a twist the Israelis often used some of the same tactics against British rule that the Palestine’s use against Israel today to oppose British rule at the time. The Arab world see both the Palestine and the Israelis as having a equal claim to the land as both were under British rule. But the fact that the United States did side with the Israelis did not set well with the Arabs. And considering that the U.S. had given lip service to the Arabs at the time about it just put sand in the wound. I now understand that part of the hatred of the U.S. in Iran is because we helped Saddam in the Iraq/Iran war. A war started by Saddam against the Iranians for more oil rich lands.

It is frightening that it could be true that if democracy did come to the region OBL could be elected a leader of if not Saudi Arabia then a number of any country there. That should be telling us something too, part of knowing the enemy is knowing the enemy. Understanding what and how they think, it was explained to me during a terrorism seminar. Part of the problem during the hostage crisis and the problems in Lebanon. Was that hostage taking had been an excepted form of diplomacy in the Arab world for centuries. Yet we said we would not discuss with them a settlement. To them we were the ones not playing by the rules of the game.To us OBL is a coward and an evil man, to at least some over there he is a hero and courageous for taking on the United States. In many senses the U.S. is the reason that Israel still exists, one being that if some one really decided to destroy Israel they would have to deal with the wrath of the U.S. Kind of like the small bully who has a large friend backing him up.

So for OBL to take on the large friend has won him many admirers in the region. I saw Arafat as a terrorist remembering how I felt in 1972 and Munich . But to the Palatines he was a hero of the liberation.

If you want to suck-up to the Zionists and chant their “terrorism” crap, you’re probably one of them. fair enough.

But 9/11 was the wake-up call for the American People to what the Zionists are really doing. The Arabs knew they were fighting 99% Zionist propaganda and attacking Israel would only feed the Zionist with more “poor me” propaganda.

Think about it: How does defending your homes, farms and land make you a “terrorist?” It doesn’t, but for the average American drinking beer on his couch it’s the kind of Zionist propaganda that sells.

Not a day goes by that that the Zionists don’t murder a Palestinian. Read Haaretz.com, the Israeli newspaper. They’re not Zionists, they’re good peace-loving Jews, and if they had their way there would be a Palestinian State living side by side with Israel and American gasoline would be back to a buck a gallon. The Zionists are the bastards making all the trouble and trying to get us into WWlll.

And the word “terrorist” would go back to Hell where it came from. Anytime you want to spot a Zionist or Zionist sympathizer look for the misnomer”terrorist” along with a whiff of shit. They’re not far away.

The disaster that is this trial can be traced directly to the illegitimate selection of george bush.

Even in the face of the Ken Starr witch hunt against President Clinton, that administration was doing as best it could, its job. Gore himself was overseeing investigation into Bin Laden.

Can anyone argue that if Gore had been installed in the office that he won that a contiuing administration already looking into Bin Laden would have done less to prevent 911 then bush?

But of course bush was installed. His on the fly set of administration appointments for an office he did not win in place of folks already addressing the issue was bad enough. That they chose to ignore the out going administrations advice to “focus on Bin laden” is beyond inexcusable.

There is only one person on this planet that benefitted from the attacks on Sept 11 2001. That person was bush. On Sept 10 2001 his approval rating was 50% on Sept. 14th 2001 it had risen to 67%.

Did bush make 911 or allow it to happen? Maybe.

Did 911 “make” bush and give him unearned “legitimacy”? Yes clearly it did.

Eye-witnesses saw the Israeli moving company filming the WTC from on top of their moving van and were jumping for joy. How did they know who was in those planes?

Then they with whisked out of the country and back to Israel where the story dies, thanks to the Zionists.

Talk about a story, why has it been buried?

Why won’t American TV interview them?

You all know that the “war on terrorism” is a phony. And 2300 American soldiers have died for the Zionist’s greed.

It’s time to bring our soldiers home before any more die. There is absolutely no reason for them to stay. They make things worst for the Iraqis by being there.

The Zionists are trying to get Bush to start slaughtering Iranian children. Boy, the Zionists ought to be able to get enough pictures of those children’s bodies to wallpaper their West Bank houses built with American money on land they’ve stolen from the Palestinians.

    Let’s take a Zionist tour:

    Here’s the Palestinian room.

    Here’s the Iraqi room.

Here’s the Iranian room with the freshest most grotesque pictures.
