American values taking root in Iraq

An Iraqi company is capturing our capitalistic spirit. The Iraq Insurance Company appears to the first company in the world to offer an off-the-shelf life insurance policy specifically covering terrorism attacks, The New York Times reported. The rider covers “1) explosions caused by weapons of war and car bombs; 2) assassinations; 3) terrorist attacks.”

Damn I just think I found a gold mine!

I should sell terrorism insurance here in America!

I could make millions capitalizing on irrational fears! You know……like bush and halliburton have done!

What say you bushies? I’ll sell you a policy to cover any damages you incur due to FOREIGN terrorism. Domestic terrorism you are on your own.

Now I won’t cover damage to your pants when you wet them. I call fear of Arabs a preexisting condition due to governmental forces.

Who wants to buy some “terrorism insurance”? Step right up!

    JR,

I’ll buy your terrorism insurance if you buy my insurance policy?

My policy also capitalizes on the irrational fear of legal gun ownership and concealed carry.

My policy will provide you coverage from any legally bought and purchased gun used by a licensed concealed carry permit holder shooting you.

    Oh, I forgot a clause:

You are not covered if you were in fact trying to assualt, kill, or cause serious bodily harm to the concealed carry permit holder or another person or persons the concealed carry permit holder is defending…

    Nathan,

I am contemplating selling insurance against terrorists of foreign nations trying actively to kill Ameriicans in America. I anticipate paying on no claims.

As to your insurance against any dumb yahoo carrying a gun……well I do hope your poskets are as deep as your desire to carry your little phallic reassurance of your masculinity.

So yes Nathan I will buy yours if you will by mine. Oh and your clause? How do my survivors prove that I was NOT assaulting the gun toting reactionary who shoots me?

JR that insurance is already out there. You can even get alien abduction and anything you can imagine.

An Iraq company offers insurance and it’s an “AMERICAN” value?

Because the Arabs have no mercantile traditions of their own, eh?

The ignorance of history such an observation implies is almost physically crippling . . .

I’ll buy your insurance, Nathan. Based on the statistics, I have a 8 times the chance of collecting than if I was living in England.

    Well put Proud lib.

But barter and haggle are so simple and fair. Theese middle eastern folk are so ignorant.

We will teach them mass marketing, targeted demographics, and the culture of consumption!

I’d say terrorism insurance in Iraq is a good sell and a good buy! The most powerful nation on the planet is right over there every day making the established market move.

    Ah Damoon,

You are still confused on how statistics work?

If you subtract all the deaths from guns in this country that were illegally obtained or from those illegally carrying them it would no longer be at 8 times the risk in england.

And your point is?Over 500,000 guns are reported stolen every year from legal owners. Adding more guns to an already gun soaked society doesn’t make us any safer.

Boy, I cant wait till they start adopting the strip clubs, porn, abortion, blue jeans, alcohol, and a two-party political system where they’ll be forced to choose between puppet douchebags who will do absolutely nothing to benefit their country. Ah! American culture, screwing up other people’s cultures since 1898.
