I’ve been as bothered by the rabid politicization of the vice president’s hunting accident as by the incident itself. (Why are so many so unable to judge a president’s sexcapades or a vice president’s unintentional shooting of someone without partisanship?)
But leave it to New York Times’ saber-toothed columnist Maureen Dowd to articulate something else that’s been bothering me about this: “With American soldiers dying in Iraq, Five-Deferment Dick ‘I Had Other Priorities in the ’60s Than Military Service’ Cheney gets his macho kicks gunning down little birds and the occasional old man while W. rides his bike, blissfully oblivious to any collateral damage. Shouldn’t these guys work on weekends until we figure out how to fix Iraq, New Orleans, Medicare and gas prices?”

One word all politicians should become well-acquainted with and apply to their “public service”.
I-N-T-E-G-R-I-T-Y
If they all had some of it, maybe the Dems and the Repubs wouldn’t be at each other’s throats all the time. Then we could actually (get ready, here it comes guys!) WORK TOGETHER TO GET SHIT DONE!!!
ROTFLMAO!
Gee Rhonda do you ever take a break from your job?
I suppose you would rather have the guy who has the heart problem do nothing but eat and sleep at the whitehouse 24/7 with no break?
I swear, you liberal media morons will use anything you can to jab this administration regardless of how stupid it makes you look.
Sigh…
Seems like a valid point to me. Why do none of these problems seem to be a priority?
Someone yesterday made a statement that the VP shouldn’t have to follow our laws.. I mean really, he’s our VP.
How many people really have that belief?
Since Nathan doesn’t actually work for a living, he apparently feels that the rich pampered white men running our country shouldn’t have to either.
Bush Co. ran on the assumption that government “doesn’t work” and then they set out to prove it.
The proved it.
The = They
BTW, if Cheney’s heart problem keeps him from doing his job, why doesn’t he cut back on the booze?
Or just step down?
‘Liberal media.’ Does Nathan’s Right-Wing tourettes’ syndrome EVER shut off?
What a good little robot you are, Nathan. But I think your designer may want to change your programming, since, after thirty years of the ‘liberal media’ mantra, nobody takes it seriously any longer. And your opportunistic and cynical employment of whatever standard of evidence helps to make your case shows even further just what a little ‘If x, then y/if y, then x’ robot you are.
So, folks, whenever Nathan posts, I invite you to read his words in the voice of the robot of your choice. Some suggestions: Hal, from 2001: A Space Odyssey; Robbie the Robot; and PimpBot from the Conan O’Brian show.
As for the Administration, well, from day one, they’ve been the ones who couldn’t be bothered to govern. Why should they start now? Their goal all along has been to force phony crises that justify the handover of national assets to the private sector. Their exessive leisure is a way of making the point: they’re players, not workers.
God, if I was president during all this mess, I’d at least want to give the illusion that I was working 24/7. Maybe that would give some comfort to those that actually care to think I was doing everything in my power to work things out. Dubya and his croonies could give a rip what the American public thinks, just more evidence of the huge gap between those in power and the little people.Who was it that “fiddled” while Rome burned?
The argument appears to be that the VP spends too much time having fun.
So, if you are going to set the rules by saying he is having too much fun, what are the boundaries?
How much fun if any is the VP allowed to have?
Give me a break down by day/week/year.
Does he get at least 2 weeks vacation? Does he have to work 24 hours a day or does he get time off for lunch? How long for lunch? What about sleep? Does he get a day off during the week, perhaps a day of rest?
Since you all seem to be experts on the VP having too much fun perhaps you can explain the amount of time he should have and how much he has exceded your standards by this year.
Nathan, the problem isn’t that dubya is taking a vacation, it is that he is taking ANOTHER vacation. He has spent around a fifth of his term as president on vacation. He has the nerve to say we are at war and to call himself a war president, all the while he sends men and woman off to die while he rides his bike. Get a clue Nathan. Nobody is criticizing him for taking a vacation; they are criticizing him for taking so many vacations.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/08/02/AR2005080201703.html
k, you damned leftist. Dont you know that being president is HARD WORK?? How can you miss that when “hard work” is in every public comment the preznit makes! He is busy. He spends lots of time not watching brokeback. He has lots of brush to cut on the ranch. And the fish in Maine dont just jump out of the water on their own. Someone has to fish for them. Geez k…..
Nothing that the President does or the VP does will be accepted by the NYT or the other MSM. They can’t get over their hate for both. Rhonda just jumps on their bandwagon. You libs say that conservatives are robots and only regurgitate Hanity, ect., but you idiots do the same with the NYT, Err America, Commi News Net, See BS, etc, etc…
The upside is that maybe Cheney will now have an appreciation of what it is like to shoot a human being. Fortunately, he’s never had to shoot one because his president said that’s what needs to be done. And, lucky for him, the guy he shot lived (not) to tell about it!
Crusader X: You’re correct. The problem is that people on here and the government don’t want to get past their distain for the other side and they don’t want to grow up.
hahahaha! Of course I’m right Nojoco. I am one with the Force, a Jedi is seldom wrong.
NoJoCo, that is not the case. I believe the blinders are being worn by you. Did the first Bush take a vacation during the first Gulf War? No. Why? Because he was needed in Washington. He understood that his place was in Washington, not taking a load off at his ranch chowing down on some BBQ. This Bush fell from the tree and didn’t even land in the same orchard. He spouts off about how we are at war and he needs all of these (unconstitutional) powers to fight the war and keep America safe, and the following week he takes off for a nice vacation in Texas. Is that an indication of the mortal danger we, and our way of life, are in? Maybe all of this administration hype is nothing more than drum beating to try and scare the crap out of the American people and fool them into believing the current jokers are doing something to ensure their security?
“Hey, Harry, throw your quail up so I can see if I can hit it”.
For all of you who keep making this mistake please understand the following.
If X then Ythe logical equivalent (contrapositive) is:If NOT Y then NOT X
Please don’t be dumba$$es and say that:
If X then Y = If Y then X
Example: If I am a New Yorker(X), then I am an American(Y).Now if I say:If I am an American(Y) then I am a New Yorker(X)This is logically incorrect.Find the contrapositive of the if/then statement.
If NOT Y then NOT X.If i am NOT an American(Y) then I am NOT a New Yorker(X)logically equivalent.
Please take this to heart now people.
I see that the word vacation is being thrown around now.
When you say that Bush has taken several vacations, what are you talking about?
Are you talking about his going to his ranch where he still works as President or are you talking about some other vacation where he went to the carribean for a week and did nothing bun sun tan?
I am curious. Becuase you seem to think that those trips you call vacations are things where the President is not working.
Well done, CrusX. Hadn’t thought about that since the old symbolic logic days.
The undistributed middle: Hitler had strong opinions. Hank has strong opinions. Hank is Hitler . . .
Wow, NoJo equates the N Y Times with Sean Hannity. I disagree with what he says, but I always assumed some level of rationality.
I see that I assumed wrongly.
Nathan, what proof do you have that Bush works when he’s on vacation? Back up your statement. Just because you assume something doesn’t make it so.
Damoon,
Answer me this, do you honestly think that President Bush does no work when he is in Crawford?
Do you think that he is on what most Americans call a vacation? One where he is not working at all, just having a good old time?
LOL
If you do that I can throw all the proof your way that you can shake a stick at.
It is absolutly absurd for you and everyone else to think that just because Bush is not in the Whitehouse that nothing is being done…
It’s more absurd that you constantly challenge others to produce evidence for what they say, yet when you’re confronted you can’t produce any evidence for what you say, all you do is answer questions with questions. Show me the proof that Bush is working hard when he’s on the golf course.Bush should stick to the business of running the country, and taking so much time away from the White House certainly doesn’t give Americans the impression that he’s working hard at resolving the mess he’s responsible for getting us into.If I had a son or daughter in Iraq, I’d be pretty pissed everytime I saw him hitting a golf ball in a media photo op. I guess it’s just me, but I believe being at war is a serious situation. Obviously you and other neocons think of it as no big deal, just business as usual. You’re such a ditto head.
Damoon,
I am sorry to say this, but you are a complete idiot if you actually think he is not working on his “vacations”
I have not asked others for any proof yet. Go back and reread my questions.
I have asked those that think the VP and President are having too much fun to tell me what “too much fun is” and how much is acceptable.
As soon as people like you start attacking the administration on doing too little or having too much fun then they are all relative terms to which there is no meaning except to you.
So, you think he is having to much fun or too much vacation, then tell me what is allowed in Damoons little world.
It is that simple.
Proudlib could think that 2 days vacation is too much a year while ksfarmgrrl could think 3 hours is too much…
Instead of playing these silly games where nothing is going to be good enough, tell me what is.
If you really, really, really, want me to I can post all the links from my google search from CNN, USA Today…etc. talking about the President’s “working vacations”
Of course I already know you know that, I am just wondering just how silly you really are :)
Vacation is an interesting subject, and a distant idea for most Americans.
American workers have less vacation time than all other Western nations. What vacation time they do get they are fearful to take. Boss let’s ‘em know that if they aint there, well maybe the temp does a better job and does not ask for let alone demand vacation.
What makes this all the more ironic…….or moronic…is that the very folks mandating longer harder hours for the average American worker are the same folks who are or at least promote the rights of those on “vacation”.
bush was on vacation in August 2001. He could not be bothered with intelligence briefings…..he was to busy cutting brush. So we got the attacks of Sept 11.
When a cat 5 Hurricane threatened a major American city. (New Orleans) bush was again on vacation. While New Orleans drowned, bush played golf and spoke to sailors. Some four days after NewOrleans was destroyed, bush needed a dvd of the news coverage to catch him up. Returning from his vacation, he flew over the problem that he was not on the job to address.
Like I said above, vacations are becoming increasingly rare for most Americans. Any thought to “getting away” is invitation to employers to let us “get away”permanently.
Now that is troubling with all I’ve cited above. But comes lately Dick Cheney. he was on vacation. He negligently shot another human being. His recourse to this was to take ANOTHER vacation….ya know, so he didn’t have to be bothered with questions about his last vacation.
Oh Nathanhank? It is called public service. Public service pay and priviledge demands, I think, no less than on the job all the time. Such as you and the bush administration demand it from workers at large. Shirking or defending shirking the same invites charges of HYPOCRISY
Even when the President is at the White House, he spends money like he’s on vacation, Does’nt do to much for the people he is suppose to represent either. If your elected you represent all the people not just your party.
Nathan, you completely miss my point. We’re at war, taking frequent “vacations” from the White House (even if you’re “working”) is totally insensitive to those who are truely making the sacrifice for the war effort. How much “vacation” does a soldier in Iraq get in a year? Bush should at least be at task as much as any soldier over there. Playing golf while our troops are putting their lives on the line and dying is totally insensitive to them and their families. Bush is completely out of touch with the average American, but considering his background, he’s never really lived in our world, has he?
Dont assume to speak for me nathan. I think the preznit should take even more time off and let the adults run the country. Adults like dead eye dick. Oops, I mean the neocon staffers. Damn, is any elected person running the country? I mean other than phill klein…
I guess according to nathan, if I call in a couple of times and check my messages during a 30 day vacation, I’m working. Note to self, remind boss of that.
Check out today’s Eagle, p. 9A, “Hunting trips are relaxing for Cheney, but cost taxpayers”. {the Post chooses a less conservative title for this article, “Hunting for Camaraderie With Shotguns and Friends”}
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/02/18/AR2006021801147.html
Cheney’s vacations are a variable cost. So are Bush’s.
The fewer the vacations taken by the Bush administration, the less US taxpayers pay.
Of course, some might argue that if US taxpayers were to grant what can only appear to be President’s fondest wish, vacation time full time until January, 2009, then US taxpayers would probably save tons.
Bush vacation: they ain’t costs, it’s an investment.
;)
Bush and Cheney need to take permanent vacations and we need to get some Democrats in there who will busy themselves with straightening out this country!
flike, ltns. Good to see you!
Not to mention, they have global climate change to worry about.
And on today’s episode of “As the World Burns”:
Splash Splash Splash Splash
Dickyboy: Mr. President, the quails have all drowned here at the Armstrong Ranch. What can we shoot at now? Nothing’s left but these carcasses that floated in from Galapagos. The Prez: I don’t know, Dickyboy.Uh…er…is it legal to shoot these heheh dead heheh dead heheh endangered thingamaboys here? I’ll get Harry over here toadvise us!Dickyboy: Say what Mr. President?
Well, Darth Sidious better get off his A$$ and do some damn good political maneuvering because this whole selling the ports to the U.A.E. thing is NOT helping the Emperor. This bill he proposed is now being threatened by Han Chuck Schumer Solo, and Princess Hilary Clinton. This makes the Emperor look “soft on terror” which allows his enemies (Solo and the Princess) to appear more to the Right than himself! This is not good, especially in the minds of his fear-controlled constituents. After all, the Emperor plays the fear card to keep control of his minions, this is why he was elected a second term, because his minions feel safe when the Emperor is in power. What was the Emperor’s rhetoric during that race? “TERROR TERROR TERROR, OSAMA OSAMA OSAMA!” Just like the War on Iraq, what was the Emperor’s rhetoric? “WMDS WMDS WMDS!!!” Then the scared little minions cast their votes for daddy Emperor’s mighty protection. So he sent our stormtroopers and our Star Destroyers to Iraq and destroyed all opposition. However, the belligerent little ewoks, wookies, bantha-men, and rebels started killing our stormtroopers by IEDS and ambushes, kidnapping and killing even the Empire’s civilian humanitarian aid workers. The mighty Empire is losing power and influence and credibility in that desert planet Tatooine Middle-East, and what pray tell does the Emperor do? Sell our starports to the U.A.E. and play golf.
Down with the Emperor!
I heard the best joke yet today.
Satan has a bracelet that says “What Would Cheney Do?”
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Damoon,
So, once again. Is the president allowed to have any “fun” at all?
You and the others here refuse to actually offer up the boundaries to which you want to hold the President to.
All you do is attack him for having “fun.”
You won’t say how much is ok though. The reason is becuase you just want to attack him.
So Damoon, do you do anything enjoyable to have some fun?
Don’t you feel guilty knowing that when you are out having a good time they could probably be using your services in the medical field?
Why do you ever take a break? Why not get a little bed at the hospital and work 16 hours a day?
This is why hopeless wannabes like Hank and Nathan worship Bush and Cheney next to idolatry.
Bush is the epitome of a “player,” one who plays the system and wins. To the winner goes the spoils: the faux ranch, the second and third and fourth houses and vacation cabins, duck hunting with Supreme Court justices, weekends away for golf in flipping Scotland, very old cognac, jaunts to Europe for shopping.
Criticising Bush for taking more vacation than any other President is anathema to Nathan, because his goal is to be a “player” like Bush too.
Of course, the common soldier fight and die while our brave leader hits golf balls and rides around on mountain bikes.
That’s what America is all about to wannabes like him. Making someone else do the dirty work so you can live like a king . . .
The truth comes out now.
It is just your jealousy of those who are successful.
[The typical liberal world view]
Those who have, must have taken it unjustly from others.
Luckily there are us kind and compasionate liberals who will take from those who have and give it back to you poor less fortunate people who are only that way becuase those who have took it from you and are holding you down…
[liberalism off]
This has nothing to do with Bush taking a vacation at all. It is just because he has money and you don’t think it is fair.
LOL
Typical misguided liberalism.
Okay I want to do a little litany that may shed some light on why the dems have no ideas. They ain’t saints but after you review this list you could see it’s a full time job keeping track of the Administrations noise.
And frankly – nothing they come up with is gonna work till the checks and balances are back.
Things that have happened since Bush was appointed by the supremes.
Bin Laden attacks USBin Laden still on looseBush goes to war against Hussein for other than stated reason.- no WMDs- no links to terrorists- Paul O’Neill says Bush set on going to war- Richard Clarke says “Bush Set on going to war”- Downing street memo says “Intelligence fixed”- Pillar – long time CIA analyst says “Intelligence cherry picked”
Bush Iraq war planning inadequate.Wolfowitz – war architect says war total cost will be 75 billion – newest estimates are 2 trillion dollars. Wolfowitz promoted to head of World BankShinseki sacked for voicing concern that more troops were needed.Truckloads of cash vanish
On the Local FrontBorders are wide openNo move yet to buy Russian surplus bomb materials.Bush recently attempts to sell US port operations contract to Arab countryDeficit is obsceneTrade deficit is more obsceneOnly clear winner in Medicare drug program is Big Pharm – the elderly are confused and non- participatoryMedicare actuary threatened with job loss if he advises congress of true cost of program.Somehow the energy sector is reaping record profits. How’s everyone’s health insurance these days? How’s everyone’s pensions these days?On the consolidation of wealth – the top 13,000 US households now make as much as the other 120 million US families combined – and these guys need tax breaks so they can build more factories in China??
On the “Squeaky clean front”

That my friends is prima facie evidence that he is a bozo. Then he denys it, not having come to terms with the concept of video tape.Cunningham.Ney.
And finally Bush has suckered the faithful into standing up for Cheneys exemption of torture by the CIA and warrantless wiretapping. Which is why our founding fathers left England, you shallow clods.
They wrote the FISA law to deal with this. They wrote it right. You can get a warrant after the fact. The Bushies are fishing and they are fishing in your pond. Wise up.
This is why so many people like myself look at the Bush supporters and wonder what is wrong with you people. Can you really make up enough excuses to cover all the things I’ve listed? That is why we are rabid. We are unhinged. We should be. You should too.
Well said Len! And welcome!
Hey Nathan? Now you know how much I despise wasting my time posting you. But I could not resist.
Aren’t YOU on vacation Nathan? I mean if we are to believe that you aren’t the simple construct of Hank (who seems stangely absent this thread) Then your identity as a “US MARINE reservist” invites the question as to why YOU are on vacation and at taxpayer expense.
Hey I’d be all in favor of permanenent vacation for the entire bush staff. But I find defending any person in this administration expecting vacation just a bit confusing.
I mean we are “at war” right? Now while Nathan spends lots of time on taxpayer expense posting here while HE is on vacation, the idea that “our leaders” need vacation in a “time of war” is a little hard to justify.
When those in charge justify longer and longer “vacations” while denying the people who actually work for a living any vacation at all, something is wrong.
JR,
You obviously have no idea of how the reserves work do you?
Oh thats right… I have seen your ignorance on the military in many past topics too. Why should I have expected you to be any different now.
When you can figure out how the Reserves work let me know. untill then you might stop making yourself look ignorant by continuing to comment on my service.
When you are in the Reserves you serve for one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year.
I am not on vacation…
Len,
Did you type that all from memory or cut and paste it from Moveon.org?
Seems to me nathan that your “service” is more flag waving than fact. I give you a pass on that…..you know, sort of like bush’s “service”
As to figuring out how the Reserves work, I bet a lot of reservists wish they had it figured out as well as you do! Highest proportion of reservists in HISTORY and by FAR deployed in Iraq. Now you “nathan” will say they chose to be there. And yet you are here……..
bush got off active deployment because of Daddy. Is that how you did it nathan?
Is it possible that you are really as ignorant as you portray here JR?
Please tell me you are just trying to get me upset and don’t actually believe this crap?
Once again you miss the point, Nathan. Until our troops come home, Bush should have as much fun as any soldier in Iraq. And yes, I have worked 16 hour days, MANY times. What about you?
HOO RAH!!! JR and Len ROCK!!!!!
…and you too Damoon! You are always a good read.
You did not answer my question Damoon.
How much time do you spend away from work?
Are you telling me you never have any fun?
Those troops are on different deployment cycles. I believe most spend about a year there on any given tour.
They earn 30 days of paid vacation time a year not including all the extended weekends when they are not deployed.
Then you also get the extended time off just becuase the commanding officer is rewarding them.
The issue is has nothing to do with the President having “fun.”
The issue is that you hate the President and you will use whatever silly thing you can to attack him.
It is very easy to attack the President for not meeting your expectations when you won’t even say what those expectations are.
I have yet to see any of you tell me what kind of free time the President should have.
Again well said LEN! haven’t seen you before but your post was absolutely devastating.
Nathan? I just can’t ignore you! Why won’t you LET me ignore you?
I said that reservisits ( and incidentally national guard) are deployed more extensively in Iraq….and by FAR than any other conflict in history. That is a fact. Which you responded to bytelling me that I know nothing about the reserves? ? ?
But since you are all about asking questions and never answering them Nathan, I’ll post again and more clearly. I’ll ask YOU some questions.
Hey Nathan? A category 5 hurricane bears down on a major American city. You make the call. End your vacation?
But that’s just one example. You wanted to know how much vacation President should have. Well I guess that would be subject to just how much that president cares about his JOB! That at least is the standard by which most American workers are judged! Most of them though don’t get to decide just what is enough. They are too busy worrying they should take a vacation at all. Oh but I forgot; bush is above such standards at least according to you.
Now in your repeated questions as to how much vacation the president should have you manage to not answer while asking questions of and questioning the work ethic of a NURSE?
And you manage to get me to attack your “service”. By the way I am not convinced of that service at all. But in getting me to attack you, you try and perpetuate the myth that the left hates the military.
I posted my answer to what vacation time the President should have. Let me give it to you again. In a time of “war” NONE.
Now you tell us Nathan. How much time is appropriate?bush is currently setting a new standard. Perhaps the next republican president could phone in the job.
But the ultimate judge of how much vacation time is acceptable is of course the employer…..in this case the American people.
No wonder bush never reads the polls.
Jr,
That had to have been the most incoherent rambling I have seen from you to date… LOL
The nurse that you defend has already vouched for my service.
The truth to my being in the service still doesn’t change the fact that you don’t know what you are talking about.
Keep trying though, it gives me a good laugh.
From memory Nate
And I have a lot lot more
Oh and I left out the Katrina Komics too. And note who was put in charge of the Katrina rebuilding – Rove!
Sure Nagin and the Gov share blame but they were elected and doing disaster stuff wasn’t their only job.
Really – can you honestly take a break from knee jerk Dem hating – I mean they haven’t been in power for so long what have they actually done?
On me and Bush – all my dislike is purely home grown. Before he came along I could go either way. But he is a disaster. If I was his father my skin would crawl.
Anyone remember when Saddam was taking apart his SCUDs in the desert and somehow that wasn’t good enough for W?
The guy can’t talk to a crowd that ain’t hand picked. Doesn’t that embarass and terrify you?
How can he keep saying we are safer? If anyone – even the Justice League of America or the complete collection of Catholic Saints when into Iraq heavily armed and entered into a conflict where between 35 and 100 thousand Iraqis were killed – I can guarantee we would grow thousands of dedicated haters of Americans -If your kids arms were blown off by friendly fire I think you’d be looking for someone to shoot. You certainly wouldn’t be celebrating democracy.
It aint political – its just a fact if we wage a war in a country and participate in that kind of violence – we are gonna grow a lot of people who will hate us til they die and that would be true if we were as pure as the driven snow.
Which we ain’t so it goes downhill from there.
Planning anyone? Open arms anyone?
How naive.
Go Google “Schick” and “Bush’s Budget Problem” Figure out what he’s really after. Then if you agree wonder why he doesn’t go public with the plan.
The guy shifts all the taxes to the middle class and is willfully building up such a debt that there can be no services. Cool that the wealthy get the watch dogs off their backs but you and I and our kids will be left with debt service.
Go read David Walkers assessment of the Governments fiscal position.
Finally can anyone here tell me what the national republican leadership has demonstrated they stand for with a straight face?
Nathan, I agree with JR, in a time of war, the president shouldn’t take any time off. Now, does that answer your question?Yes, I take time off, but I haven’t sent thousands of young people to a foreign country to risk their lives and die. If I had, you bet I wouldn’t take anytime off until they all came home. The LAST thing I’d feel like doing is having any sort of fun.
I notice nathan didnt answer any of your questions JR. He only asks them. Answering them is so…like…for little people. Yep, he sounds just like GW. He can dish it out, but he cant take it. Come on smart boy, at least take a shot at answering questions. Maybe you shouldnt be allowed to ask questions until you give some answers of your own!
It is funny. I usually answer most of the questions asked of me, yet people like you ksfarmgrrl act like I never do…
ok then nathan. Here is your opportunity to answer JR’s questions. Prove me wrong!
Ok, ksfarmgrrl. I will do this, just for you.
Lets look at everything that was a question by Jr towards me:
“Aren’t YOU on vacation Nathan?”
NO
“I mean we are “at war” right?”
YES
“Is that how you did it nathan?”
NO, AND NEITHER DID BUSH.
“Why won’t you LET me ignore you?”
UM…. NOT IN MY POWER.
“A category 5 hurricane bears down on a major American city. You make the call. End your vacation?”
IF I WAS ACTUALLY ON A “VACATION”, MAYBE. THERE IS THIS WONDERFU THING CALLED DELEGATION. IF I THOUGHT IT WAS NOT BEING HANDLED I WOULD END MY VACATION, IF I WAS INDEED ON A “VACATION”
“How much time is appropriate?”
REAL “VACATION” TIME? THE PRESIDENT DOESN’T GET ANY NOW.
Your logic is self cancelling. You want the dynamic duo to work weekends till problems are fixed. At the same time, you wonder at those who politicize ’sexcapades.’ Are you saying that it is ok to get that kind of stress relief while on duty and presumably hunting someone like Osama bin Laden? I must be stupid since the two statements seem like double standards to me.
Hey nathan? an insult from you is a badge of honor for me.
The “President doesn’t get an real vacation time” okkkkk
Victims of Hurricane katrina beg to differ.
But of course I don’t count the times when bush is on the job but his brain is on vacation. Like when he ok’d selling our ports to The United Arab Emirates.
This is my last post on the subject of bush and vacation. As I said before, the tendency is for employers to judge how much vacation is appropriate. I think the American people …..bush’s employers…….have made that opinion clear.
Delegation? Yeah, Micheal Brown did a GREAT job!!
I think mistakes were made, but it was the combined mistakes from every level of government, from the mayor to Micheal that made this worse than it should have been.
Jr.,
What is the definition of a vacation for you?
What is it for most Americans?
