Sister American Ks,I believe you think that I am a homophobe because I personally do not advocate same-sex marriage. While I defend the right of religious believers to view certain forms of marriage as sacred, I believe that such religious beliefs about sanctity are a matter for individual conscience and are an inappropriate basis for state law.That is the difference between my personal and judicial philosophies. In layman’s terms, I hold that same-sex unions are wrong. (like Roberts, Alito) However my judicial philosophy (if I were a judge) would be that my religious belief about same-sex unions can not be used as a means to prevent same-sex unions in court. I can’t quote the apostle Paul in ruling against same-sex unions. To do so would be for me to subjectivize my rulings, and that would be wrong for a judge to do. Consequently, if you ever came across a judge that did that, you could always appeal and take it up with the appellate courts and they will reverse the regional trial court judge’s decision. I can almost guarantee you that! I’m sorry if I offended you.

No, I do have a problem with you making generalizations about Christians though, hell I’m even critical of Christians too, but I don’t make sweeping generalizations the likes of which you made about Christians. I didn’t know “nancy boy” was an offensive term, I just heard someone use it here so I called Phill one since you know, he is holier than all Christendom. If I were a homophobe I would simply tell you to go to hell and read Paul’s writing’s condemning homosexuals into never attaining the Kingdom of God. However, I never ridiculed lesbians or gays since I was here. Sure I made claims that Ian was gay, but that’s because well, he’s Ian. Please don’t take my obscene remarks against Phill out of context, Ks. I sure hope you didn’t join the Morality Police.

BTW, I know this is all in good fun, but some of us are offended by the term “nancy boy”. I would never ask that you stop using it, but someone as sensitive about us disparaging your religion might be a little more sesitive on the name calling front.
