Mentoring program scores touchdown

Gov. Kathleen Sebelius scored big by getting former Kansas State University football coach Bill Snyder to head up a new program called Kansas Mentors. The statewide effort is aimed at strengthening Kansas children through the help of adult role models, and Snyder is a great person to help promote it.

Kids! Forget about education. Focus on sports. You can be a multi-millionaire.

Is he really a role model? Or is this a political move by Sebelius to pander to the KSU loving base, which includes a whole lot of farmers.

The guy is no role model. I’m sorry! It is ridiculous and an insult to say he is. Kids don’t even know who he is or would care.

So I have to respectfully disagree that Synder is a great person to head this program.

So who would you suggest, Joe?

Joe is right! Snyder has no respect for women or the law. His record shows little regard for creating role models. If he mentors Kansas kids into the type of people he turned out of KSU, well, better build some more prisons!

Do I hear the sound of the pot calling the kettle black? Barnett cant use legislative research for campaign purposes (and he shouldnt) but Governor Leadership can whiz away more tax money on a feel good campaign ploy that will accomplish nothing. Sorry gov. Try that one again.
